    YES! Just takes some time to figure out the settings. But this car is really the car for everyone (albeit not priced that way). But for all that it offers it is priced well. The range will improve as the tech does, but Edmunds has seen 250 miles. It's my daily driver (abyss black) and I just ❤️ it.
    I am mad that they didn't make the glass roof available in the USA. That is a big fail by Hyundai. But otherwise, perfect.
    My commute is 5-8 miles per day. I live in the city, have charger at home and have a 350kw charger nearby.

    I was considering a RWD vs our current AWD IONIQ 5 because the amount of power in AWD Sport Mode Is more than I typically need. I do like having that power and occasionally sprint to the speed limit for the fun of it. It has been nice on occasion to have it as a resource for removing myself from a situation that typically I’d have to slow down to defensively drive in. I always thought the N would be adding more of what I don’t need while sacrificing the desire for greater efficiency I want. After viewing your street usage I think it’s more than anyone needs reaching the end of acceleration fun instantly before facing fines. I sincerely hope the cooling improvements and ICCU enhancements make it in to every IONIQ‼️ When I leave a 22 minute DC session dumping in 62kWh in from 0% to 82% I really want the battery cooling on a moderate temperature day to be caught up on cooling and not running while I drive for the next ten minutes. That will give me more range without question. I think better cooling could hold the curve a little longer making a larger battery charge in the same amount of time or faster. 👍🏼 25:36

    I feel like that steering wheel should be Hyundai’s standard wheel.
    I wish they’d bring that more traditional instrumentation as an available theme on Gen5 equipped EV’s. Wouldn’t take much effort on their part and would be a nice way to show their dedication to customers running older vehicles. Heck, it largely already exists in hybrids running Gen5 instrumentation/infotainment.

    Looks like the N is really nice if you're into loud sports cars and you have a space to kick its 4ss.
    For me, I like my car quiet and I don't even like the sound of the "digital angels" that's mandatory here in the US. And I'm happy with the 440+ lb Ft of torque from my dual motor 4 wheel drive I5 SEL when it's not too busy and I get to leave everyone behind at a traffic light or a freeway on ramp. Unfortunately that doesn't happen too often because of city traffic here in Southern CA. So an I5N would probably just be more frustrating. Gotta say, I love seeing all the videos about it though.

  • @volcalstone
    @volcalstone Před 12 dny +2

    11:46 it's around $8K more but they took a lot of features away from the Limited so when you think about it's more like a $11K if anything. Too bad the US spec lost so many features from the international versions. I guess they think we don't want everything fully loaded.
    19:58 why are you a GT hater? 😂 They're the same seats really minus the vented seats on the N. I know everyone is different but I love my GT seats. Went on a 6 hour or so drive recently and didn't have any complaints. The drive back home for 6 hours was fine too. We'll see how you feel about these seats when you have for a week later on. Also I've seen your dedicated GT video. It doesn't seem like fast cars tbh. Efficiency is more of your game which is fine. The GT isn't for everyone and I'm whiling to sacrifice comfort for a more fun to drive car. As long as it has heated seats. 😁
    To go further into this I was set on getting an Ioniq 5 AWD limited for the longest time and then I decided to get the EV6 GT instead. I don't regret it at all for one minute. To me overall the EV6 is a nicer car inside and out. While the Ioniq 5 was only nice on the outside for me. The inside doesn't match the outside at all but I'm glad they're fixing it for this N and the 25 coming later this year. I just didn't want to wait that long and I wanted something faster. I knew this N wasn't for me too as they made way too many compromises for the US spec vs the international versions. I love my opening roof even tho it's smaller over the vision roof as well. The seated rear seats was a must too. The sound system is a lot nicer too. The size is big enough for me as it's not as small as your typical compact car or SUV and I'm a mid size SUV fan. Oh and lastly the EV6 doesn't need a rear wiper!

    • @kimballwhite787
      @kimballwhite787 Před 12 dny +1

      Fellow Runway Red EV6 GT owner, and I agree with a lot of your argument. The EV6 GT seats definitely aren't the most comfortable, but to me, the EV6 has better styling, a far superior 14 speaker sound system, heated rear seats not removed for the US market, etc. Back in March when I heard that the US I5N wasn't getting a whole bunch of features (HUD, heated rear seats, rear sunshades, sunroof, etc.) I knew it wasn't the car for me either. If the I5/I5N wasn't so stripped down for the U.S. market I would be more interested.

    • @volcalstone
      @volcalstone Před 12 dny

      @@kimballwhite787 yeah styling is subjective but I wasn't a fan of the EV6 rear at first at all but the more I saw it in person it wasn't so bad. The EV6 looks better in peeps than pics imo. The GT just looks so nice and it's mainly the rims and brakes of course. Do I wish it was more aggressive looking vs the GT-line, yeah sure but I don't want it over styled like the 10th gen CTR. Tbh even the 5N is a little too much for me, call me old. I do like the upcoming 5 GT-line looks tho.
      Also to be fair the 5 never got rear heated seats to begin with. That was one of the reason last minute I decided that the current 5 wasn't for me. I do think about my passengers comfort as well. BTW I got a snow pearl white GT. Recently blacked out the roof. It looks so much better now. Again styling is subjective. 😁
      Edit: Also I forgot to mention that I got the GT over the 5N was the price too. I got my GT for only $50K a few months ago while the 5N right now is going for $87 at some dealerships. Someone is stupid to pay that price as I could think of a lot better cars out there for $87K. Even at the MSRP of $67K. I also edited my original reply to add more comments on the GT section if you want to read more of my novel. 😊

And, although the 5 N has even stiffer suspension tuning, there's definitely more comfortable ride settings (even in Sport) on our Ioniq 5 than the EV6 GT. with what Tesla did this past week, we're not getting v4 Superchargers that will do anywhere decent charging performance, and there will be too many cars for the number of dispensers by next year. Clogged superchargers that you have to wait at, that only deliver 100kW doesn't sound like an improved experience for eGMP owners.

    beautiful car. However despite it having over 100 + more horse power it is still slower than the new Tesla model 3 Performance (2.9 seconds). This starts at $66k before the dealer mark up.
