  • Welcome to my DIY on making EASY foaming hand soap using Castile soap and essential oils.
This is a simple and cost-effective method of soapmaking that will leave your hands feeling clean, soft, and refreshed.
This post has affiliate links. Thank you so much for your support!
Start by gathering a foaming soap dispenser and your soapmaking ingredients including castille soap, clean water, and essential oils of your choice.
Once I’ve gathered everything I need, I carefully mix the soap and oils in the dispenser. Then I slooowwlly add the water. Next, I use a wooden dowel (a skewer from my kitchen) and gently stir blending the soap, essential oils, and water. Put the nozzle on and tighten, then, tip the bottle upside down and gently swirl so that the Castille soap at the bottom of the dispenser dissolves into the water.
Be sure you use an air pump with a foam dispenser to create the foaming action!
Not only is this homemade hand soap easy to make, but it’s also cost-effective and better for the environment.
BONUS! Creating this hand soap also allows you to customize the scent to your preference. Say goodbye to harsh chemicals and hello to a natural and effective hand-washing solution. See my suggested blends below.
Let me share my Shopping List and THEN, I’ll share the cost breakdown for the soap I made today:
    Shopping List:

🌟Glass foaming hand soap pump - amzn.to/3T26wa8 (Ohh! This one’s pretty!)

    🌟Bergamot EO - www.naturessunshine.com/recom...
    🌟Rosemary EO - www.naturessunshine.com/recom...
Cost breakdown for creating one “Aspire Hand Soap Blend” recipe:
    1/4 cup (2 ounces) - Castille Soap - 60 cents
6 drops of Bergamot oil - 72 cents
6 drops of Rosemary oil - 07 cents
Plastic Foaming Bottle (ONE TIME cost) - $8.79
TOTAL COST first time - $10.18
TOTAL COST reusing the soap dispenser - $1.39!!! That’s right, only $1.39 or 17 cents per ounce!!! 🤯💥💖
If you’re new to Nature’s Sunshine Products use code NSP when checking out and save 25% off your order. That makes your essential oils (and some herbs perhaps?😀) even MORE COST EFFECTIVE!
Of course, you aren’t limited in which Essential Oils you use. Along with 2 ounces of Castile soap and 6 ounces of clean water, consider also adding these different blends:
SPRING SUNSHINE - Geranium, Orange, Lavender (4 drops of each)
SPA DAYS - Eucalyptus and Lavender (6 drops each)
WINTER WONDER - Pine or Fir, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus (4 drops each)
SHIELD & PROTECT - 1 drop Cinnamon, 2 drops Rosemary, 2 drops Eucalyptus, 2 drops Lemon (or Orange), 1 drop Clove
Nature’s Sunshine also makes an Essential Oil Blend Called “Essential Shield” that is similar to the Shield and Protect recipe shown above and they include a few more essential oils in their blend - www.naturessunshine.com/produ...
I love the blend I made today with Rosemary and Bergamot. Give it a try and let me know how you like it. Or, share one of your favorite essential oil blends for hand soap!

Thank you, Beth! I will order the Castille soap. I use essential oils as well. I enjoy your CZcams presentations. I wish you and yours a Happy and Peaceful Easter. He Is Risen!

    Oooooh 👀

I love this recipe. I have a very strong sense of smell and find most scented soaps and foams to be overpowering. I don’t “notice” the scent from this when using it. But it is there and quite pleasing. It’s nice to wash my hands and not feel like I’m using an air freshener for soap.

I need to do this, my kids burn through soap and it would be nice to have something that I know I am not allergic to.
