In this video, I show you a simple and cost-effective method of making Do It Yourself shower gels using essential oils and natural ingredients that you love!
I create His and Her shower gels; one for Mr. Sweet and one for me using the same basic recipe. But then, I switch up the essential oils we use so that we each get the uplifting and soothing shower gel that we love.
Start by gathering your empty shower gel bottles and your soapmaking ingredients including Castile soap, glycerin, Vitamin E oil, raw local honey, and essential oils of your choice.
You can find the basic recipe on my website: www.sweetherbinlivin.com/herbs-essential-oils/diy-essential-oil-shower-gel
Creating your own shower gel allows you to customize the scent of your body wash to your preferences. Check out the video where Mr. Sweet and I do a sniff test to determine which blends we like best: • HIT or MISS - Creating...

    I just like simple vanilla.

That sounds like a yummy option. I might try that for the winter, but I’ll need to purchase vanilla essential oil. I think that’s one I DON’T have.

@@SweetHerbinLivin I love the warmth of vanilla. I do like pairing it with other oils like orange, clove, clary sage, and peppermint. (Not a specific blend, just a list of oils that I like pairing it with.) But, I love it on its own.

@@busywithdogs I might try vanilla, orange, and clove. That might even make a great combination for a relaxing bath.

Do you have a recipe for DIY shampoo and or conditioners?

I haven't tried this before, but I think I would use lavender, patchouli, and peppermint... that's a blend I like a lot. How long does this shower gel last you?
Would need a warmer blend for the wintertime. I'll have to think about what that could be...

That sounds like a great blend!
This should last a couple of months or so.
