  • Data shows that Ukraine's defence is crumbling. Russian attacks have become more lethal than ever. Ukraine is shooting down a far smaller proportion of Russian missile attacks than it was earlier in the war.

      Depends on what side of the spectrum the fool was on. One side believed like Russia leadership that Ukraine would collapse in weeks. The other side believed that Russian people would stand up to its government at the losses of their children and their economy collapse. Both fools still have hope that their predictions will still come true in time though the cost is far worse then either predicted.

      Wrong!!!!! Russia has lost this war, they are losing 1 solder every 30 seconds, that means by the end of May they will have lost half million, KIA,,wounded, or taken. And are now spending 25% of it's GDP on the military. The west can not afford to let Russia win and the US, UK, EU alone has $200 trillion wealth, Russia now $1.6 Trillon, same size as Italy! The S-300/S-400 parts of this report are hurting my ears. Those are air defence systems, not offensive. Even if Kiev keeps repeating that Ru is using S-300 missiles to attack ground targets, in an effort to blame Ru when Ua missiles hitting apartments instead of targets. (Both are capable of attacking surface targets, but it makes no sense to use them as such when you have hundreds of cruise missiles and drones a month for that.)

    • @Matt-en3mv
      @Matt-en3mv Před 5 dny +1

      @@imrekalman9044 You have to first understand that S300 missiles are over stocked due to their age ones that are no longer viable could be repurposed for ground attack roles. Of course Russia and Ukraine will claim their own mistakes, failing equipment etc were the other side. Repurposed s300 missiles is an old story, and it matches other systems that should have been destroyed over a decade ago due to high failure rates caused by age being repurposed. Russia has no concern about unexploded ordnance and will fire everything at its disposal.

    Russia's Security Council is the most powerful organization in Russia, it oversees security in all of Russia. It's different but not a step down for Shoigu.

    • @kvdp3806

      Here, Reggie, I wrote this for someone else but you seem to beg my question as well.
      Approbation, Elevation and Castration. Now he will have responsibility without power. The life of Putin's freshly minted court eunuch is now the 'Gui Man's lot.
      Why is there denial of this? His performance was not so great lately. He got... rebranded and removed from military authority. Why is this so effing hard to process?
      Good grief, Russia would do well to make more changes and adopt a more dynamic approach if it wishes to actually achieve its stated goals.
      Clearly its current approach is not suitable to the desired outcome. Why is it so hard to accept that this is not a reward?

    • @stephenhall3515
      @stephenhall3515 Před 5 dny +1

      Correct. The Security Council (then under a different name) was created by Yeltsin in the mess left by Gorbachev and around the time a young ex-KGB officer name of Putin showed energy as a politically adept inspector and organizer of personnel structures -- including industrial boards and bureaucracies.
      Just as Yeltsin had been known to drop in to see workers, Putin was even better at this, being younger and fitter. We tend to forget that Yeltsin had his first stroke in 1992. But what city lad Putin lacked was knowledge of Russia's greater regions and diversity of languages, ethnicities and sheer extent.
      The Security Council has duties in all civil resources, representation, policing, utilities and very large projects. Shoigu was 20 years in the south Siberian vast area stretching from the Caucasus states through the steppes to the east border of Mongolia and China -- notably along the railways on a scale we can scarce imagine. As a post-graduate civil engineer and logistics expert operating 4000km away from Moscow, Shoigu became part of the army because military organization suited the tasks in hand but was never a combat soldier nor pretended to be. This type of organization had been successfully used by the British well into the 20th century.
      When Putin became PM he wanted to see how the remarkably able Siberian fared in boring politics so made him the political head of the Moscow region (a sort of mayor) for 4 years then brought him into the cabinet as Defense Minister. That post in Russia is not like in western countries insofar as he is not in actual charge of the military. It is really a 'front man' post linking the PM's office with the president and economists in the PM's office. The Foreign Secretary is closer to the president's office, with duties worldwide.
      Shoigu and Gerasimov agreed that there was confusing overlap and were also concerned about efficient spending -- as were Putin and the PM's office. The deputy PM (now Defense Minister) was the key economist the main men talked to and even before the Ivanov corruption hiccup (Shoigu offered his resignation but was refused by the others), Putin spoke about firming up the Security Council ready for various implementations of major developments east and south with the CIS, Turkey, Iran and both south east Asian Russia and the Arctic. The obvious candidate was Shoigu the Siberian and speaker of several Turkic languages and Yakutian.
      He will spearhead these developments with teams prepared for ages by the president and PM offices, inclusive of orderly immigration and population of Russian central Asia.
      SO, not a demotion or sideways move but actually a vital stage in what Russia has naturally become. Gerasimov is also not a European Russian by a few km as he is from Kazan Tartar stock just a bit west of the Urals (where Asia technically begins).
      He is a member of the Security Council but often sends deputies to meetings as he is primarily a career soldier and historian rather busy with Ukraine at present and expanding the army engineering sector for the major works mentioned.
      The oft photographed Putin/Shoigu fishing and riding trips are mostly taken at Gerasimov's small cooperative estate (owned by the Tartar people) near the Volga and although he participates he is a bit camera shy and disapproves of hunting wild fauna -- very unlike his father and son. He is more scholarly and more like what Patreus pretended to be.

Russia is the second strongest military in the world, Ukraine is no match for Russian tanks, Russia has destroyed more tanks than Ukraine possessed despite capturing large depots with tanks. Russia has destroyed all patriot systems, Russia hypersonic missiles cannot be intercepted, Russia takes civilian out of hiding to protect them as Ukrainians fire on their positions. Ukrainians use civilians in Mariupol as human shields by forcing them to take cover in basements. Ukrainian civilians complain that Ukrainian soldiers fire on them once freed by Russian army, shows man wearing camouflage standing near armored Russian military where he was fired on. Russia protect civilians by maintaining civilian corridor to Russian controlled territory open while leveling cities.
