We speak with renowned Israeli historian Ilan Pappé about his recent trip to the United States, when he was interrogated for two hours by federal agents upon arrival at Detroit airport about his political views on Gaza, Hamas and Israel, as well as demanding to know whom he knew in U.S. Muslim, Arab and Palestinian communities. Pappé was only allowed to enter the country after agents copied the contents of his phone. “They refused to tell me why they stopped me,” he says. Pappé, author of The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, also discusses the Nakba, growing support for Palestinian rights, and why he believes “the collapse of the Zionist project” is imminent.

I was interrogated for 4 hours at Detroit airport and denied entry and ultimately, deported, the following evening.
What did I do?
Nothing, other than come over to the USA, to visit my 2 US Citizen children.
That was 8 years ago now and I've been denied a visa to visit the USA ever since.
No criminal record, no breach of US immigration rules/laws/regulation, no intent other than coming over on holiday/vacation.
No humans rights for me....
It should be considered a badge of honor to be denied entry to America until there is a fundamental regime change .

No, you fought in WWII to protect allies against Nazi Germany and stop Hitler. The genocide was continuing unimpeded. Allies did not bomb the railway to Death camps, while they clearly could, as they flew over them, with knowledge already of what is happening there. So US involvement in War was not to stop the genocide. Also US did annhilated 215 000 people in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, so they committed a huge crime themselves. BUT, I hope that this time US will actually do stop the genocide, instead of arming the killers.

Israel has become a pariah state. Palestinians need to have the ability to return to and/or live safely in the territories of Israel and Palestine. The world must support these demands.
