To get the most out of your Vicks Filtered Cool Moisture Humidifier, follow these helpful steps.
Make sure your humidifier is on a firm, level, water resistant surface at least six inches from the wall.
Remove the tank and set aside.
Then remove the filter and filter tray from the humidifier.
Soak the filter in cool water. Do not wring the filter. Fold the filter flat and insert back into the filter tray.
Place both the filter and filter tray back into the humidifier.
To fill the water tank, turn it upside-down and remove the tank cap by turning it counter-clockwise.
Fill the tank with cool tap water.
Replace the tank cap and tighten by turning clockwise.
Place the tank back on to the humidifier.
With the power switch in the off position, plug the filled humidifier into the wall outlet.
To use with Vicks VapoPads, open the dual scent pad door and insert the VapoPads.
Your ideal humidity level should be between 40 and 60%
Relax and enjoy your Vicks Filtered Cool Moisture Humidifier.
*humiditer We liked it **Fastly.Cool** so much in the basement, we bought a second one for the main level. The amount of moisture it pulls out of the air is astonishing.*
I've done everything in this video and everything the instructions say, but mine has run for over 24 hours now and the water level hasn't dropped at all
Same here. If I wet the filter it seems to work again, but then it dries up and the water in the tank never gets used
Same here. Soooo frustrated!
Just watched the video. What is the blue thing she dropped in the water tank?
Hey Annette. Thank you for your inquiry. To clarify, this optional accessory is our Protec Humidifier Tank Cleaning Cartridge, model PC1F, which reduces up to 99% of odor causing bacteria, unsightly mold, and algae growth, versus untreated humidifier surfaces. We hope this information is helpful! If you require additional assistance, please email us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
Idk if I'm setting it up wrong or what, but even with two brand new vaporpads it doesn't spread the scent in the room.
That is definitely odd. We would like to look into this. Please email us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com and we will be happy to look into this and assist you.
@@vickshumidifiersthermomete2655 I'm also having the same problem. I can't smell the Vicks!
You can’t smell the Vic’s if you have covid
One of Their other devices had the pad slot right in front of the fan, basically. On this one it’s off to the side. That could be why. The other device it was very powerful since the pad is sitting in front of the fan
Where do I find the filters? I cannot find PWF2 filters
If anyone new sees this and are in the United States you can find them at Target, Walmart, CVS, and Walgreens, I know for sure. It’s really the only filter I can ever find at those stores(besides the off brand kind that go with the off brand humidifiers).
Hi when using the vicks vapor pads does the vapor door need to be open? I don't smell the scent when the door is closed.
Hey Lovely. When using the VapoPads with this humidifier, the Scent Pad door should be closed. Please note, these VapoPads are designed to provide up to 8 hours of comfort per pad. If this is not the case, we'd like to look further into this. Please reach out to us by emailing SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.

My water levels are not going down for some reason. What’s the fix for this issue?
Hello Davy. There are a few reasons why the unit may not be using water. As long as the fan is blowing air, the unit itself is functioning. We would advise making sure the filter is wet inside of the unit and that the tank is sitting flush with the unit, so water leaves the tank and gets to the base of the filter. If you need additional assistance, please email our support team at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com and we will be happy to assist you.
Exact same issue- and mine is brand new and I followed every correct instruction
How long does it take for smoke to come out ?
Hey Jonathan. Thank you for your inquiry. The type of humidifier you have is an evaporative, which means that the fan in the unit evaporates the water directly into the air. In order to produce output, the wicking filter soaks the water up from the tray. The fan then pushes the water off the filter and evaporates it into the surrounding air. Since the air is being perfectly balanced and not over saturated, you will not feel or see the moisture. Over time, you will notice the water level in your tank going down, which shows that the unit is working. We hope this information is helpful! If you require additional assistance, please reach out to us by emailing SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
Mine just spews water continuously out the back. I did all the steps and then it just spills out the back
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend ensuring all parts are properly aligned in the base, as this can help prevent leaks. If the issue continues, please reach out to SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com for further assistance.

The same thing happened to me, mind you I woke up once to clean my dresser the first time around and turned it off then woke up again and my dresser was SOAKED again,
The water in the tank never goes down in my new humidifier. I can feel it works when I wet the filter again, but after a while it just dries up and the water in the tank stays exactly the same. Am I supposed to wet the filter each time? And is it normal for the water to be the same level after 3 days?
Hey jcbarquet. To confirm, we do recommend wetting the filter prior to each use. Also, to even out the mineral saturation of your filter you can flip it over (top to bottom) each time you refill your tank. If the water level is still not depleting in your water tank, we'd like to look further into this to help. Please email us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
I am having this exact issue
@@mayacarney4359 This is random but the way I got mine to work, is filling up the tank, then pressing the valve at the bottom of the protruding section a bit so the water would come out onto the sink. Maybe this part was stuck. After I did that the water started to drop automatically every now and then, so it works. My only complaint now is that when the water comes down every now and then it makes a noise and wakes me up.
Mines is leaking water everywhere out of nowhere why is that help

Hey I just bought the unit. Fan goes on but the water level not going down at all. What should I do?
We will be happy to assist you, Aladdin. Please make sure that you have added the wicking filter inside of the unit and that the filter has been soaked, as that will prime it and help it to wick up water and will help the filter and tank sit correctly. If you have other questions or need further assistance, please email our support team at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
Do you have to have a tank cap ? She through something inside before closing it with the lid
Hey Torreonna. To confirm, yes, you will need the tank cap installed when placing the water tank on the base. Without the tank cap, water will continuously be released from the tank, and cause the unit to appear to be leaking. We hope this is helpful! If you require additional assistance, please contact us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
What was thrown into the tank?
What was thrown in the tank before she screwed on the cap? - I have a brand new one and the sound is on- the surface is level- filter brand new and wet- I followed every direction and my water level has not gone down at all in 12 hours of use. Please Help?!
When I set up my humidifier I failed to wet my filter. It is running now so what should I do
Hey Sandra. Thank you for your inquiry. We would recommend powering the unit off and waiting for the unit to cool. Next, remove the water tank and set aside. You may now remove the filter and wet under cool water. Once the filter is wet, you can fold the filter flat and insert the wet filter into the removable tray. Please place the removable tray back in the humidifier and replace the water tank. Your humidifier can now be powered on for operation. We hope this information helps you. If you require additional assistance, please email us at SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
What did she drop in the tank before putting the cap on
Hey Joe. Thank you for your inquiry. To clarify, the optional accessory placed in the water tank is our Protec Humidifier Cleaning Fish, model PC1F, that continuously works to prevent the growth of bacteria and mold. It's also capable of preventing the buildup of slime in the water and humidifier surfaces. We hope this information is helpful! For additional assistance, please contact us by emailing SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.
And that fish was not mentioned in the Ad.

I can add the vapo steam liquid to the water?
Hey Adry. Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, our cool moisture humidifiers are not made to be used with any medications (such as VapoSteam), scent additives, or essential oils. Adding any these to the water of a cool moisture humidifier will void the warranty and most likely cause damage to the unit. However, this humidifier does that have the option of using our Vicks VapoPads. All these cool moisture units can use small, optional, scent pads that are placed in a heated compartment to give off a menthol scent. We hope this information is helpful! If you require assistance, please reach out to us by emailing SocialSupport@helenoftroy.com.

Can I add essential oils ?
Hey Aseencion Connie Patron. Thank you for your question. We can only advise that this humidifier be used with the recommended Vicks VapoPads, and not a liquid additive. We hope this is helpful. You so one
The water is dispensed into the filter area by a spring-loaded mechanism. This is the second winter for this unit. This year, the spring has stopped compressing equally. So the water unpredictably overflows and spills out of the device. You cannot tell when the spring will malfunction. Now I have placed the unit into a tray, as a catch-basin. I only fill the unit with the amount of water that the tray can hold. This means that I have to re-fill the unit more frequently, but that's better than having ruined furniture and trying to find a way to keep a soaked carpet from developing mold. My bedroom is 12x15 and the unit cannot provide more than 30% range humidity in deep winter. But this is Minnesota, and the relative humidity can go as low as 12% inside sometimes. At those times, the humidifier can't keep up, but it does help. In this second year I have to watch it like a hawk for leaks. And because there is hard water here, the filter must be replaced about every 2 weeks. For those wondering where to buy replacement filters, you can buy them online.😶
