- Beautiful Places In The Shropshire Hills//We are back at exploring the most beautiful places in the UK and although we live right by the Shropshire border, we haven't been to the Shropshire Hills before. What can we say? Absolutely stunning. We first went to beautiful Stokesay Castle which not many people have on their radar but it's a must see. And then we went to enjoy the breathtaking views towards Carding Mill Valley and its Long Mynd Ponies. Definitely a place to go back in spring to go for amazing hikes. We fell in love with another place and hope you do too should you visit. Oh and by the way: We stumbled upon an antiques shop in Church Stretton hahah.

One of the things I love most about your videos is how fresh and honest you are! If it's cold and windy, you let us know! If a place is a bit of a disappointment, you are honest about that, too (always in a tactful way). It's so great to experience these places along with you for the first time.

You got to go in summer or spring, and bring carrots or apples for those beautiful ponies. 🐎😊 I felt for you, enduring the brutal cold. You must return when its warmer. Very nice antique shop. I walk those hills regularly now - am getting to know them bit by bit 😀 It was lovely to see it through your eyes. It is very exposed in cold weather! I am going again in a few days time to take a friend who has not been before. You are the sweetest people, what a wonderful bond you have. Lovely to see. X

I adored this tour, but I could feel the cold air ..LOL January in the Shropshire Hills. I loved your discourse over the Queen Victoria print. I have a teacup from her coronation. It is one of the loveliest pieces in my collection. I am glad not to be the only admirer of Queen Victoria. Many thanks and please, eat all the cake and tea you want. I love the teashops too.
Thanks so much Jennifer! Oh I LOVE cups like that, very unique. Hahah I know, some people think Joerg didn't like the print and Queen Victoria but he LOVES her, we just have so so many prints that need to be framed that he was hesitant at first :)
Next time you are in Church Stretton Kirsten, try visiting Jemima's tea room, it is worth a visit especially in the summer when you can sit in the garden which has a view of the church. Also you could go for a climb up the hill Lawley which is very peaceful with beautiful views, especially nice in the summer, we take a picnic up there sometimes.

Kirsten, I went visited twenty odd years ago (from Australia) and it was my favourite place. Thank you for capturing it again so beautifully. Church Stretton has a great deli with lots of tempting food to take out. The Carding Mill valley is also beautiful.
Oh yes, we visited Carding Mill Valley (it's in the video) and it was absolutely breathtaking.
I love your videos. I lived in Ipswich as a child, in the 70's. I explored towns and many antique shops with my mom, so many happy memories. I still have most of the items my mom bought and they are loved in Birmingham, Alabama US. Watching you guys reminds me of that happy and magical time.

Dear Kirsten and Joerg...thank you for sharing another part of English history...Being European I love visiting castles..there is a magic about it...trying to picture how people of that era lived and functioned there..and yes..that cold would make me feel how women would feel freezing walking around in dresses inside of stone building..like you said..no central heating...just that fire they made..When sun comes all is different isnt it..Tea places are becoming more modernized...it used to be all soups and sausages when I was growing up....SO excited to see your house hallway....big hug...Jana

Kirsten, these lovely videos transport me to another place in time. Everything seems so old world and peaceful in so many of these cities you and your husband visit. Places I have dreamed of going since I was a small girl. I am 53yrs old now and live in Oklahoma in the US. I suffer altitude sickness which greatly hinders my ability to travel. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your family adventures with us.

Another beautiful video showing us the other side of the pond. When it comes to the prints I think Joerg gets to pick next as the Queen was not quite to his liking but what a sweetheart to along with your choice. (That one really made me laugh).
