I headed over to the Shropshire Hills for the first time ever for a lovely hike over the Long Mynd, visiting numerous peaks along the way. It was in preparation for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in a few weeks time and to get the legs used to going uphill again! About 1/3 of the way along the route we summited Pole Bank, the highest point along the Long Mynd.
What a spectacular place to visit!

Just beautiful I live in Shropshire my favourite walk. I also love Hope Bowdler and Caradoc on the other side. A wonderful area I'm so lucky to live in Shropshire.
I was looking at walking this part next time I head to Shropshire.
It's beautiful. Hope Bowdler and Willstone Hill Battlestones. I do this walk every month. Also a summit called The Yearlet on long Mynd. The views are amazing. Also Corndon Hill is lovely in Powys.
Beautiful place and nice video. I’ve wild camped there a few times which is stunning but you have to be careful the wild horses don’t come over and take an interest!
Excellent production 😊
Thanks for the video. Doing this route for the first time later this month, hope the weathers as good 😁
Its superb and im sure you will have an awesome time! 😁
Great walking in Shropshire. My favourite walk. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Beautiful views Joe and another great vlog. Thanks for sharing.
That is truly stunning! And another great video from you.I’m going walking around Offas Dyke in the summer - I’ll have to head north to Shropshire while I’m there. Thanks!
Thank you! Offas Dyke is only about 12 miles away so you will hopefully see them on a clear day but definately worth a stop off! 😁
Once again, a fantastic video, Joe.👍 The one and only time that I have been on the Long Mynd was some 60 years ago. At that time, the Mynd was used as a centre of gliding but I presume that now it is used solely for recreational walking.
There is still a gliding site about 2 miles south of Pole Bank so they are still there!
Thank you Joe for another wonderful walk! The views of the waterfall are amazing. I love your hat with a fox on it. All the best to you from Massachusetts!😊
Thank you! Its a Fjallraven hat so you might be able to get hold on one! 😊
What a fantastic walk! I have been only on the car tracks, still ok, but not as FAB as your route, you showed the route in the vid, but to me no marker points, could you mark your actual route, on say a OS map, so the actual route could be identified.
I think in later walking videos I show where I am on the route each time there is a piece to camera so help show where bits are on the walks 👍
What is a postcode for starting point please?
Unnamed Road, Church Stretton SY6 6JG

Thank you
They diverted that footpath so that people would STOP walking all over the shield barrow...yet what does everyone do? get off the nice surfaced path, and go tramp all over the shield barrow and further erode it.....
