  • The first Jurassic Park games are 30 years old! To celebrate, here's a video about the rarely mentioned PC/DOS & Amiga version of the classic dinosaur game. Which seems to have been forgotten for being both a really good Jurassic Park game AND a technically impressive, pre-DOOM, first-person shooter!

    Great, thank you! :D
There are slight similarities to Oceans`s "Last Rites", but that was released in 1997, needed stronger Hardware and lacked the capability to look up and down.

oh wow, I've never come across Last Rites before, and it's even available on Steam. It's always great to discover old FPS I've never heard of, the good and the bad. Thanks! Looks like they were trying to out-gore Doom and Triad :-)

@@cunningmunki Sure, I recently saw it in an Video and looked it up. The first Level is ok, but the second is an Mall, what could be cool, "Dawn of the Dead"-Style, but it's an dark and ugly Maze xD
Yeah, it is very gory, but not like "Gloom 2" on the Amiga :D

I think Last Rites had mouse aiming...also something like diffrent colour lighting and transparency (not every 1997 fps had that). The levels architecture goes better and better by every map. Worst thing are sprite enemy, look ok by desing but polygonal models were standart those times
