Quick correction - for some reason the text changed at 15:00 to say 2-minute measurement for the SDNN time-domain metric, that is not correct, as I said in the video you will want a minimum of at least 5 minutes for SDNN readings, and ideally 24 hours

Hey, man! Thanks for the amazing introduction video to HRV world. I find it very useful. I have just started using Polar H10+ strap and Elite HRV. Metrics in the app are so confusing, and there are quite a lot of them. I would be very grateful if you could make an in-depth video just about the metrics, more scientific, more defined. Thanks!^^

I have a Polar H10 and came across this phone app. I wish polar had this level of detail in their app. But a free Elite HRV phone application for a chest strap I already own is perfect! Hi! thank you for your incredible videos about HRV and its measurement. I also bought a Polar H10 and downloaded Elite Hrv. I did my first morning HRV reading today, but there is no score about my morning readiness and there is no symphatic or parasymphatic activity scale. There are domains that you mentioned and average hrv/hr data. I guess second day the app is going to compare between today and tomorrow thats why i can not see some datas right?
Hey Kyle, pretty awesome piece on HRV. Appears you definitely did a lot of research. I personally use whoop strap and am seriously questioning the data. My HRV scores range from low 20's to high 40s. Even on days when the app says Im only 35% or 50% recovered and not well recovered with low HRV readings, I feel great and dont see any slump in performance. I wonder if whoops HRV is time or frequency domain? Looks like that HRV you use is about $165. Id be curious to see the differences between it and whoop. I matched my whoop against my polar and HR was accurate, but HRV is another story. Thanks again. Lastly, I was wondering how you like your IR sauna, the cost and what is the max temp you can turn it up to? Glad you one of the badass connoisseur's of ice bath craziness. My wife and I are full on with that program, coupling it with Wim Hof breathing for 3 rounds prior to going in. We are currently at 38F for 3min and loving the results. Life changing, no doubt in my mind. Rock on!

Another great video, thanks! I have a low vagal tone, I suspect that low HRV base line is the same thing? I mean.. My optimal HRV is 25-30 according to my Garmin watch. That is a very low base line. I have a very small "battery", which means a very small exertion is making me fatigued. I can't work right now because of it.. And I can't live an active life. I used to go mountain biking, running and lifting weights. Can't do anything but slow walking and yin yoga.. Is increasing/pushing my HRV above my base line over time increasing my vagal tone?
