Russian language of course due same grammar and meaning. Probably translation is better due ideas of translators, which extend original humor. This is very interesting, but a lot of slavic languages have very same grammar, so speak on another language is just: 1) change some words from mother-language to another language(second group of slavic language) and 2) do not forget that some common words have another meaning. 2), for example, polish dworez means railway station, on russian palace, polish khalupa means house, or russian very poor and bad house, polish uroda means beautiful girl, on russian ugly girl, ukrainians call house izba as khata, but on russian language khata is only clay south house or home on jargon, izba is log house, but with architectural terminology only one room of log house. 1) for example: the verb. see on russian videt', on polish widzieć/zobaczyć, on ukrainian bachyty, on belarussian bachyc', on serbian and latin(!) vidi, so you can build 2 groups/variants: vidi and bachi.

@@zygia I think Witcher was written in Polish and Polish has a certain "vibe" to it that fits style of the game very well.
The game is full of very Polish idioms. While you can't translate the meaning well, God knows they tried, just the fact that actor speaking them understands what they are meant to convey really helps. While in the very hobbled English translation they kinda barely make sense and you can hear the voice actor doesn't get what it is meant to mean.
Also English voice actors are good but Polish voice actors are excellent.
Interesting counter point for me is cyberpunk where the Polish version sounds really hobbled and forced while English version is the "original" imo.

Something about the setting, cybernetic people, dystopic future seemed to call "Ghost in the Shell" to me, and I really liked my choice (even though I missed Ellen McLain cameo). 0:49 The "always bow, ask after your health" (zawsze się skłoniły, o zdrowie spytały) is probably a reference that sometimes if a regular person kills somebody, their neighbours are shocked to tell the news that "he was such a good boy, so nice, always said good morning...". It's kind of a meme.

When a person trips or cuts himself, he cries out, 'Oh kurwa!' This wonderful, concise word expresses so many feelings, ranging from nervousness, anger, disappointment, through surprise, fascination, and ending with joy and satisfaction.
Ku*wa can also act as a punctuator, i.e. a regular comma.
Let's imagine how poor the dictionary of an average Pole would be without a simple ''Kurwa''. We are walking along the street, we suddenly trip and say to ourselves: "I am very irritated by the unevenness of the sidewalk, which suddenly exposes me to a fall. It makes me think bad things about the city authorities." All these and much richer contents and emotions are expressed by a simple "Oh ku*wa!", which sums up the matter.
If Poles were banned from ku*wa, some of them would stop talking altogether, because they would not be able to express their feelings differently. The whole of Poland would start communicating with signs and gestures. This would lead to misunderstandings and unnecessary tensions in the Polish nation.

Ukrainian language is so absolute that it has a lot of old russian words, that is why if you hear their mova, you can not to not smile, because they are talking like medieval rednecks on jargon, changing g on h, i on y, or o on i, this generates very funny words: logic became lohica (loh(лох) means looser, so logic is science to decieve people), cat became kit(like whale), cat female with suffix -ka became kishka, that means gut, the money they call hroshi, this means very cheap money, instead of grivny they say hrivny(hrü, hrü, what say pigs, as they are called by russians), I think, that is why in DLC Hears of stone Olgerd's band(zaporozhian kosaks) are called wild boars like military pigs, I guess, that this was trolling.

I can hear that the dwarf is dubbed by Aleksander Wysocki. He did a great job in diablo 2 dubbing where he dubbed Warriv, barbarian and some other minor characters :)

There is something really underrated about this game which is the camera direction.. in every scene is amazing. All other games such as starfield are so static. The staging is amazing. It adds so much dynamic to all quests.
