"Occasionally the USSR won't declare war on you"
Accurate polish history
Imagine Hitler and Stalin's face when the reports came back that tiny little Poland is absolutely crushing their military lmao
I imagine hitler would be tweaking a good bit more than usual and the soviet military purges would be infinitely worse
@@thetibbiesshow Hitler probably coping about steiner
Well if this actually happened germany would be doomed as the british and french definitely would of started attacking and then probably also declaring war on the soviet union had things been going so well and japan probably would of attacked the soviets if this was the case too. I'd guess japan would hope people would kinda let the whole china thing slide and just say we will have these freezing shit regions of russia and lay down our arms 😂
@@zackgrainger7510 Those are far from "shit". The russian far east is full of oil and minerals, and a major oil deposit lives under sakalin island. It would avert Japanese ambition for the other parts of China and Asia, because those matters are difficult, but you could colonise the empty far east
Id imagine it would sound a bit like......NEIN NEIN NEIN!!! lol

Me as a polish guy I played Poland in HOI4 a lot and I think the most effective way to play Poland is to rush right sanation wing to be able to do diplomatic annex of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia getting all their stored weapons and units so you will have ~5 24/24 division of 20 width at the time of Germany starting a war on you. For min/maxing its better to ignore artillery and do only anti-air instead as Germany will have full air domination on you. At January 1939 I'm starting to build bunkers, usually your first losing point is Poznan so keep it in mind. To have easier war its always good to focus your main power to occupy east Germany even if u might lose few provices on the west, when u take east Germany then with all ur forces u shouldnt have a problem to stabilize western front, also keep in mind that u will be attacked from south later so you can start building bunkers here in war time since these provinces are not attacked yet
I’m not sure if diplo annexing breaks the rules of the challenge or not… and I’m the one who made the rules lmao. It’s very very very clever for sure. Nicely done.
@@thetibbiesshow it wouldn't be historical, there is no way poland would annex baltic states
Yeah on polish youtube they almost always do sanation wing but they almost always lose half territory to germans and then slowly gain power and attack back. for me its funny how they all doing worst as poles playing poland than you. i think you played it alot better than most of them poles who probably tested 1000 different games each to be able to win with germans, its funny actually.@@thetibbiesshow
@@SkyIsThere. Well then, I guess we were doomed to lose that war, since we "played" ourselves in that time. ;-)
It is not SANITATION but SANATION it is from party name, in Poland it was called Sanacja and it is from latin word Sanatio ^^
😂😂
At this point, I think he's doing it on purpose.
You sound like an "American" complaining
Unfortunately I’m just dumb. Really really dumb.
real quick why is it called that, like what led to that name? idk much abt polish history sorry
I love the Taureor vibes these videos give, no over-the-top editing, just nice and calm haha
Nice going with the run. I probably would’ve tried to make some tank divisions or add field hospitals though to limit manpower losses and hun deficits, but it’s actually good to see someone actually attempt historical Poland for once finally.
Definitely should’ve done tanks in late game, I had the industry for a few at least. I usually just default to CAS spam
Field hospitals are very expensive, but they do keep your divisions functioning longer

Hoi4 and vicky3. Ever since I made this channel, I’ve had so many small hoi4 and V3 CZcamsrs pop up on my home page. Very happy with that.
Really cool video man. Love how chilled out it is. A lot of HOI4 playthroughs I try to watch are so frantic with a bunch of screaming and rapid editing and fast talking. This was just my speed. Keep up the good work!
Love the videos, your Qing guide was great. Got both achievements first try. Keep it up man
I love to hear that, thank you.
When killing enemy divisions in ports, you can select your divisions, and just Ctrl + click on the enemy division. That way, your troops won't move into the tile after winning the battle.
Why did I not know this before, and I was just beginning to understand the naval system. Where did you find this info so I can look more stuff
ah yes the soviet art of 1000 unequipped siberian conscripted children on one tile
Absolutely banger video thanks for making it!
This is personal to me because my very second play through ever was this and i was woefully unprepared. I didn’t know that paradox games are so hard, and that Poland is such a nightmare. I mean, i know my history but i thought it would be less… that
Sounds like a hell of a second game lmao. My first game was as Ethiopia and it went just as good as youd think it would.
this vid was a complete W. i could fall asleep. music was a good pick and your voice is very calming good job.

Great play. Great video style
You did it, well played!
The east border with the Soviets is hard to defend, if they control Lithuania, maybe it would be easier, if you retreat a little bit and make the frontline shorter and easier to defend.
Great video !
I really wanted to avoid retreating before any wars and to try to hold as much land as I can. That was a mistake and I should’ve done exactly what you said tbh.

this is very satisfying. If only we lived in a world where Poland just kicked Germany's ass and that was the end of it.
So many horrors could’ve been avoided. I do wonder how the world would look today if things went differently during 1939.
Would that have been the end of it, or would Stalin have taken all of Europe? I'd say if only we lived in a world where the US didn't join WWI and allow the Treaty of Versailles to occur. Without it, Hitler never rises to power. But hey, we always have and always will enjoy interfering on the global scale.
Loki is right. Stalin openly stated his plans to invade Europe.
thank you for saving Poland sir :)

great video, your micromanagment was the real deal
No joke, my wrist was so sore afterwards ahaha
great vid it was fun to watch. A lot of funny moments in it too
Glad to hear it!
Not bad at all. Idk if you did collaboration governments with Germany or it, helps a lot.
My strategy for historical Poland is to start the was as soon as possible. I go for annex Lithuania and then conquer Czechoslovakia. Then, when Germany goes to annex Sudetenland I refuse (as I control that territory), and that starts the war when Germany is still not that strong. Initially I defend griding down their forces, then go on the offensive. The key is to be as quick as possible as USSR will strike you from the other side as some stage, but when I applied this strategy I had enough time - Germany capitulated quite soon after USSR stuck, so I was able to transfer forces over and then fight and in the end beat the USSR. It was nice to see Sanationist Poland from Cologne to Vladivostok :D
Is not historical if you don't get the war in the historical date, but seems great though, you might try the Habsburg monarchist path.
i don't mean to be one of those npcs but this seriously deserves more views!
NPC away! Comments like this make all the editing hours very much worth it

A pleasure to watch:)
If you survive as historical Poland, then it’s not historical Poland. But a historical Poland it is.
Chillest hoi4 youtuber. Love that vibe.
As a Pole watching this was something beautiful.
Well done!
A tip from a beginner Hoi player (700 hours):
When playing Poland it is crucial to crush Germany as soon as you can. Soviet Union doesn't really do anything, you just need to have army stationed at the border. It is not easy to capitulate Germany, it certainly takes some time. And Germany strikes really hard - if you are pushed back right away in the first week then you're done.
My best playthrough was the Bermontian Poland focus tree. I took Slovakia by completing focus, and after the DoW I annihilated Prussia, defended for a bit, and in the beginning of 1941 Germany was a goner. Of course before attacking Soviet Union (with which I was already at war for a year) I had to complete a side quest involving the capitulation of Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Italy.
Soviet Union AI is miserable, really. You just need to draw an offensive line on Ural mountains and sit back and do nothing. And of course provide enough manpower and guns. Shouldn't take more than a year. Depends on your skills, my first USSR capitulation as Poland was in 1946. Yes, a 7 year war.
As somebody with 3,900 hours in Hoi4, I hate that I agree with you that you are a beginner
@@aprilruledearth Well, I'm not proud of my skills, but I'm happy that I can beat Germany without a problem now.
On the contrary, I did it only once in HoI2, it took me a lot of attempts to make it work there.
@@koulematon7359 If you can beat germany you should be proud of your skills, that's an impressive feat!

i remember playing as poland, ended up holding warsaw until 1943, still had a few ships and a few hundred planes which went to britain
the ships were evtnaully destroyed after many fights, and out of a few hundred planes, at wars end only 13 remainsd
I actually found a very easy way to survive Germany as historical Poland.
First of all you just boost the relation with Germany to max. Then you get license production, military Access on both ways. All of these make the German ai think i will accept their ultimatum. Because of that the ai has only 5 division pn our border and when they send the ultimatum and we say no they start getting troops to our borders they declare war without having any troops in Konigsberg and the other state. So you can just take it without any issues, they might get 10 divisions in Konigsberg but you can easily kill them since they are unorganised. The troops in the other border are also completely unorganized so you can push for 2/3 days. After that they will push back some tiles but since you have dont have to worry about Konigsberg its very easy to hold. Then they go to war with the Netherlands and Belgium and they other start dying from the Benelux area or from you
Ah man.. i changed one letter and lost the like button from you.. anyways idc. I tried this again and it didn't work. And then i tried again and it worked so theres a bit of luck involved
Your voice is so relaxing and pleasant to listen to
Great video!
Cool Video greetings from Germany

"Berlin has fallen to the polish army"
Okay now say it much slower with ASMR voice.

If you take political Loyalty instead of tenacious defense you get stability scaling with ruling party popularity
I always forget political loyalty exists. That’s a very good idea

GREATER POLAND!😂
Awesome vids very chill watch
honestly of the German and russian front, i found that the german front is alot harder to hold, while the russian front is trivially easy. Pretty much all that really matters is northern russia, but other than that set up a defensive line along your supply hubs and you can just trap the entire soviet army in a supply deadzone. Meanwhile on the northern front if you can take their one supply hub near their front at the start you're pretty much secure. For reference i did a poland game without taking guns at all from the allies and russia declared the second they could (i assume because i didnt raise relations so they didnt wait to start justifying their war goal)
and i managed to crush the königsberg front with one army, hold slovakia with 12 divisions, hold the german front with 60 divisions and hold the entire russian front with just 1 army, ramping up the numbers as
1. russia started building supply hubs
2. germany started bleeding out
Similarly in the Northern front for germany their entire supply comes from a single port, and between that port and the nearest supply hub there is a small supply deadzone which you can exploit to run your shock troops through. Alternatively (which i did) simply just run your shock troops straight to the port and encircle the entire northern pocket when they starve.
Timeline goes pretty much like this:
1. Germany starts war
2. Close Königsberg front
3. divert Königsberg army to hold your supply lines on russian front
4. germany declares on benelux
5. Take german port on the northern front
6. encircle northern divisions and crush them.
From there, holding the short german front only requires like 2 armies
holding the slovakian front only requires half an army
holding the russiaj front requires one army
you have half an army left over to guard your port, which you realistically only need like 4 divisions for, and 8 divisions to take Lithuania for free when russia "annexes" them (gifts them to you)
if you wanna simplify it even further you don't even need shock troops to do any of this.
p.s. not saying this is the best method or the most reliable method or the most fun method its just the one i came up with
STOP SAYING SANITATION ITS SANATION AAARRGHHHH LOVE UR VIDS
I’ve learned my lesson, I swear lmao

How did you get 24 military factories by August 1938? You start off with 9, but since you've been using a bulk of your civs to improve your spy agency, I can't imagine constructing 15 of them in 2 and a half years?
Focus’s give a few (don’t remember how many), and I got that consumer goods debuff early game which helped me get more use of my civies. I built in high infrastructure states first which aids in construction speed. I don’t remember all I did, but tbh, it’s not hard to get 24 and I probably could’ve gotten a couple more if I really tried.
Space Marines with Poland. Very hard to defend against Germany without the armor bonus.
As a pole I feel you bro I cry every Time
I'm curious why you asked for lend-lease so often, but then ignored all the lend-lease offers that GB was making to you during the German war...
Britain gives very few guns compared to most countries, AND there’s a massive chance the convoys would be sunk losing me more guns. It’s just a habit that I only accept lend lease if I have a land border with the country. Of course there are some exceptions, like occasionally I accept lend lease from the US, but i don’t do that often, even if I have enough convoys. Losing convoys tanks your war support as well, so there’s another great reason to not ask the UK.
It's honestly insane how we can determine how WWII could have possibly played out better if allies could have predicted the enemies moves better, not let ideology get in the way of strategic planning, and made better alliances ahead of time, then be able to play that out in a little simulator.
There are so many features in HOI4 I haven't discovered yet. What are they grey dashed lines on the map?
You can press "S" to take half of the units you have selected.
i love your voice ^^
Bro's gonna say "Sanitation" like it's a polishing session all along.
am i the only one who saw that the uk was sending alot of lend lease 😂
Wasn’t worth the convoy loss I’d get due to German subs, giving me debuffs to my war support.
yeah but there were so many diferent messeges. like a whole row 🤣 i’ve never seen that before 10/10
Why do you do the field marshal frontline with separate armies? I always find it easier shift clicking and making just one merged front.

Can you imagine how stressed your supply officers were trying to work out how to disperse replacement parts and ammunition for eight countries worth of guns?
I bet modern Ukranians would blush lmao
The allies were huge jerks this game. France not doing anything, and the UK kicking you out of the faction twice!
I would never keep pushing after fall of Germany, but you were right!
When you chose static warfare: STAND FAST THE BUNKERS WILL HOLD!
You can put cavalry in your light tank divisions since you dont have motorized. Im a Poland Main.
“Gonna request guns from everyone”. That was not Poland, that was Ukraine! Lol😂
💀💀
Pretty good strategy, but I don't like your exploit on Memel. I find playing hard defense and bleeding both Germany and USSR their manpower, while they still going to declare war with each other, and having Allies also fighting USSR, is not only more satisfying (for me) but also would make "no more partition" achievement is achieveable.
