  • In this video I show you how to set up your downstream check valve injector for your pressure washer. This helps get a stronger draw of bleach to be able to soft wash.
How does the stainless check valve downstream injector work? It draws a higher a strength of chemical by removing the spring and ball and converting to a special check valve. This is the best pressure washer injector that we have used.

A downstream check valve injector is a device used in pressure washing systems that helps to regulate the flow of chemicals or cleaning solutions into the water stream. This type of injector works by utilizing a check valve to control the flow of fluid in only one direction.
    Here's how it works:
The water stream from the pressure washer pump enters the injector, where it encounters the check valve.
The check valve opens and allows the water to flow through, but it closes when the water stops flowing, preventing any fluid from flowing back into the pump.
The cleaning solution or chemical is added to the water stream just before it reaches the check valve.
The mixture of water and cleaning solution then exits the injector and is directed to the pressure washer nozzle, where it is sprayed onto the surface being cleaned.
The use of a downstream check valve injector helps to ensure that the correct proportion of cleaning solution is mixed with the water and that it is being delivered consistently to the surface being cleaned. It also helps to prevent any backflow of fluid into the pump, which can damage the pump or reduce its efficiency.

I diligently flushed mine with 5 gallons of fresh water after "each" job and in about 3 weeks the check valve was no longer closing all the way and back feeding water into my bleach tank as well as cycling my downloader valve. Thought this would be a great tool as long as I flushed and took care of it, but doesn't seem to be worth the money (in my experience). Took it apart, cleaned and lubed it. It worked again for about 20 minutes, then I heard the unloader cycling again and saw water coming out of the pick up tube as well. Disappointed.

Great videos… appreciate you! Recently I was using this with a 5 gallon batch mix and I was very happy with the draw. However, when I turned my bypass valve I was getting water drawn into my chem. Anyone had that issue?

Have you done a draw test on this yet?

@@ExpertPowerWash everyone is putting out videos on these and claiming they put out more. More what? More flow? Higher ratio?? Can’t seem to fathom what is being said.

    Tim,
Pretty cool injector. You mention a higher draw. Just curious if you use 8.0 gpm with a 12% (SH) what's the draw percentage?
Or do we all just need to do a draw test.
That will be a good video on this type injector.
    Thanks,
    Michael C - (WA)

Just answered this question in another comment. Check it out. I may do a draw test in the future because so many are curious of what the ratio is. I know it works better than the standard injector and it lasts longer. I draw straight 12.5 from a 8 GPM.

Do you know why mine will only pull chemicals with the ball valve wide open and not with any tips. Was working fine then quit. Bought a new check valve and same problem

Try the M5DS nozzle. Need to have very low pressure tips. What tips are you using? What size machine? Each system has to be fine tuned

My injector is spraying out water, do you think it is because of corrosion?

Take it out and clean it. Blow through it. If you haven’t been rinsing it, buy a new one.

    what is the draw ratio

    • @ExpertPowerWash
      @ExpertPowerWash  Před rokem +1

Never tested the draw ratio because it just worked way better than the standard injector. I may do a test in the future because so many have asked. I think so many people can get caught of in the scientific ratios and draw rates. This is definitely important for rates when you are dealing with higher strengths of bleach but not as important for house washing which that’s what this is for. It definitely won’t clean roofs. If I had to guess I’d probably be around 1.5-2. Hope that is helpful.
