  • For about the last 8 months to a year I have been using this check valve on my Downstream Injectors. These not only help the injectors last longer, since we are removing the ball and spring, but they also actually make the mix a little stronger. We have been able to clean some porous surfaces that have the black algae stains on them, a little faster than using the injectors how they come. They are available on my store here www.dougrucker...

When you take the hose barb off the injector the ball and spring will fall out. So be careful you don't lose it. I always cup mu hand under the barb on the final twist to remove the barb.

Used my dstream injector to clean my 1st house this past Sat. Went great- although when I switched tips (from black/wash to white/rinse, I looked over at my bucket of SH and the water was back-flowing into the bucket of SH, pouring over the edge of my bucket and thus onto the customers grass, where I (mistakenly) had it sitting. What happened, is this normal?

    • @PressureCleaningSch
      @PressureCleaningSch  Před 2 lety +1

When you are changing tips you’re increasing and decreasing the amount of pressure coming from the wand. That will change the Venturi effect within the injector not allowing the chemical to suction. I imagine water is coming out the tube because there is no ball in that downstream injector check valve but I’m just guessing.

I researched these and bought one with Viton o-ring and a Hastaloy spring - which seemed to be the best quality. I diligently flushed mine with 5 gallons of fresh water after each job and in about 3 weeks the check valve was no longer closing all the way and back feeding water into my bleach tank as well as cycling my downloader valve. HUNK OF JUNK for the high price I paid. Not sure about the quality Doug is selling here, but that was my experience with the one I purchased elsewhere. ☹

Would that be 3 gallons of bleach to 2 gallon of water...?

    • @PressureCleaningSch
      @PressureCleaningSch  Před 3 lety +2

Your mix is dependent on the surfaces you're cleaning, strength of bleach your using, GPM of your machine and degree of the staining. For our 8GPM and 5GPM we always downstream full strength. For our 4GPm it's just dependent on the above variables. You have to play with it and adjust a needed depending on what you are cleaning.

Now if you made a list of all the injectors out there,
with the % of each water and Bleach would be very helpful.
I think a lot people will buy that list.
      .
for example: Using 12.5 bleach in a 5 gallon mix.
20:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 1%
10:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 1%

10:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 2%
4:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 2%
2:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 2%
      .
20:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 3%
10:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 3%
4:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 3%
2:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 3%
      .
20:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 4%
10:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 4%
4:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 4%
2:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 4%.
      .
20:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 5%
10:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 5%
4:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 5%
2:1 injector will use ? gallons of bleach to ? of water to make 5%.
      .
Then do the same list but for 10% bleach.
      .
If you sell this idea, please send me a free copy...

O yeah, do one for 1-1/2% mix.
