If you aknowledge that the “made fun of their parents”-thing is probably fake news, then why are you not deleting this video? Are you intentionally trying to spread misinformation?

It also feels like a dangerous precedent for upcoming years, where people could possibly try things to elicit such a negative reaction
If all a disqualification takes is a police report all you have to do is go there with a group of 20 and just go to the police and EBU 1 by 1 reporting the artists 🤷🏻♀️
I'm 100% sure that's exactly what happened here
@@MatvaNabor I wouldn't doubt someone tried to smear him for his comment directed at Eden. Joost isn't my favorite, but I can recognize that he has a whole lot of fans, and Eurovision owes them an apology, they showed up for Joost. .
It should have consequences AFTER the investigation has CONCLUDED something punishable has happened. Or else people could just accuse anyone of anything all the time..... Which is also happening..... It is just so stupid to do it day before...
YES RIGHT. Time for Martin to leave I think!!
I actually joked about going to stockholm the arena and just reporting random artists from Eurovision to the police, not because they did anything, but to see if they would disqualify them aswell for their interrogations
They could’ve let him participate, but if after the case it was made clear that he did something threatening then they could’ve taken actions.
Honestly, a temporary suspension is usually what happens when someone is investigated for a crime at work. This is the same thing, except you can't just suspend him for a while and have him come back, so instead he had to get disqualified. Hopefully nothing will come of it, but since it went to a prosecutor there has to be some kind of evidence. It's a shitty situation, but I don't think any choice here would've been the correct since they have to make a full investigation and that takes time.
@@sonerkamer2678 yes exactly, that's the best solution, not the "we didn't think it would be appropriate to let him compete during te investigation"
This is both funny and sad at the same time
I'm really disgusted by this year's Eurovision, the EBU has made terrible choices. Some of the press has also had their access revoked, for whatever reason.

He didn’t even fight, the woman wasn’t allowed to record and he didn’t want to be recorded, she continued anyways and he mostlikely just moved the camera down, which is what him got disqualified! Literally nothing bad 💀 (EBU rules were against filming there aswell, yet she got away no penalty)

@@ilpacifico74 that was way before the Eurovision shows it was around March
So he was the first ever who got disqualified in Eurovision for literally nothing? What a shame.
Mwoah, it fits the Dutch pattern:
The Netherlands was one of the originals, been there since the first contest.
The First song ever sung at ESC was a Dutch song by Jetty Pearl, an radio announcer for Radio Oranje during the war. The song was written by Annie MG Schmidt!
The Netherlands was the first country to win twice. Both of those songs were written by Hemert & as this is a song contest the price is for the song writer as well. So eat that Johnny Logan!
The Netherlands is the first country to score a dreaded 0 twice. No, indeed not the UK.
By the by, Norway has the most last places, the Brits are just fond of whinging.
And the Netherlands has the longest NQ, non qualifying streak. We managed to miss the final 8 times in a row.
So this is just another first. I just hope he's doing alright...
@@LeafHuntress when we were supposed to host in 2020 in rotterdam it was also the first time ever that eurovision was cancelled. I guess we just love being the first for everything lol

My boy making history 😭❤️❤️
The loading took longer than the actual video
And if they had to disqualify someone, then they should have done so yesterday before the jury so, so that the 11th place in sf2 could have taken their spot. Now, we've got a running order where no one is 5th. Disqualifying him before the running order would have been another option. And of course, even better if they wouldn't have qualified them at all.
They couldn't promote the SF2 11th place regardless, because it would contravene their rules against revealing detailed results until after the contest has finished.
In the event it happen, contestant with highest score that did not advanced will replace them.
They only disqualified Joost after a police report was filed. Before that, Joost wasn't disqualified. What sucked was the timing. If the report was filed BEFORE the jury performance then they could have promoted the 11th from SF2. But it happened DURING the jury performance.
Beside threaten production team, a country can be disqualified if they violate following rules:
-On stage Contestant (whether Lead Singer(s), or dancers) shall be allowed to lip-sync in such a way as to give the impression that they are singing when they actually are not.
-Pitch-correction (e.g. Auto-tuning) for live vocals shall be allowed in any case for the live Act performances on stage.
-Plugging instruments to play live on stage shall not be allowed.
-Provide song more than 3 minutes
-Submit the song late

As a Dutchie, I didn’t expect Netherlands to win. But Joost Klein could have delivered an amazing show in the Grand Final and at least end up in the top 10 by televotes… because clearly the jury votes were skewed and seemingly NOT in favor of Joost Klein.
IF emphasis on the IF Joost actually threatened to hurt someone than disqualifying him was the best option , I really wanted to see him perform tonight but if there are allegations and they haven't been proven to be false than there's nothing else the EBU can do . If the allegations are false than the EBU are going to be wrong for kicking Joost out but if there true than the EBU made the right decision . Id also like to be clear that me saying this doesn't mean I agree with the EBU'S decision of keeping Israel in the contest , I have seen many people link these 2 situations and id just like to make sure I'm not being portrayed as pro Israel. I think this competition was already ruined with the participation of Israel from the beginning
Same, just same! I think the same.
Let's just hope that someone doesn't get murdered tonight...or idk a bomb explodes or something. Because if it's already this crazy, anything can happen.
