I notice with some of these that either the country steps up afterwards and consistently gets a top 10 or 5 position or they flop and never again go back to sending quality.
Or they get out of competition like my country Bosnia 🇧🇦 😢
Quality doesn't always do well in Eurovision, so placings aren't to be trusted always.

Bulgaria 2017 scored more than 6/7 winners from other years since the new system was introduced and was still 144 points away from winning…
That year was just messy as f*ck
Bulgaria would be the ESC 2020 winner if was't the pandemic..
2017 had a lot of bad songs, probably the worst year overall when it comes to 2010's
Lithuania 2020 when Eurovision got cancelled :)

In 1998 Malta, despite coming 3rd, was also close to victory point-wise. Same for Russia in 2003.
2003 was close as fuck for the top 3 lol

Yeah, in 1998 Malta was 8 points from victory.
We all know it hurts that Croatia didn't win, like Finland didn't last year, but then again Sweden and Switzerland would have finished second. It is hard to accept, that only one contry can win Eurovision every year.
So we lost many contries from winning dor the first time, but they will be our inofficial winners for ever! 🇭🇷😻
Croatia still hurts my heart T-T... ALMOST....ALMOST WON..I will never able to recover from this shock, also the odds too shout out Croatia as a winner, because Rim Tim Tagi Dim was fan favourite..ugh... I hope next year my favourite will win, otherwise I will say my music taste is shit.. :(

Croatia kinda won, in 1989 Yugoslavia won with Croatian band and esc in 1990 was held in Zagreb
ESC 2023 was held in England, and Switzerland won in the 80s with a Canadian singer, so...

On the 90s they were fire, their songs between 94 and 97 are amazing
but there was quite difference between Poland and Ireland - Ireland had 226 and Poland had 166.
