They really got rid of raspberry syrup for this
Hey you’re not ugly! I love your look and sound
Wait, they got rid of the raspberry syrup? For the Olive oil? Why lol just why
I still miss the Chile Mocha they had years ago. Wish they’d bring that back.
😄
Damnit now I'll never try it, probably wasn't going to, not now I'll never try it now!
Imagine being a Starbucks exec and forgetting that water and oil don’t mix..
There had to be someone in product development or whatever saying “This is a bad idea,” who was blissfully ignored.
They just aren't preparing it well. If they're emulsifying it with the milk. Mayonnaise is mostly oil, mind you!
I can just hear them now - "Shut up, nerd!"
@@meaganpearce5675 😂 that comment actually made me laugh out loud!
In the most literal sense. 😂
I love how starbucks in japan make the most mouth-watering "weird" drinks like cherry blossom, starwberry & brownies, pancakes, corn & white chocolate, and cola frappes while we have olive oil
What is the corn and white chocolate like? (Genuinely curious)
@@meifennellysieu7510 i wish i knew haha. It’s part of a line of drinks that were inspired by the prefectures in japan, and hokkaido is a prefecture known for its local sweet corn so they created a sweet corn frappe with white chocolate syrup. i wish i could try it honestly
Damn let me get a pancake drink
@@meifennellysieu7510magine the flavor of a corn cereal, such as Kix, mixed into a white chocolate shake. That’s how I’d describe it. Pleasantly sweet and definitely corn-flavored.
Corn is a flavor of some ice creams in Japan and Korea. There was also a corn pie at McDonald’s Korea iirc
@@glowrillaz It was pretty good actually. The sweetness of the white chocolate went really well with the mellowness of the corn. Cherry blossom is unfortunately a huge disappointment every year, the sakura flavour is almost non-existent, tastes like weak strawberry milk. The melon one we have right now is great though!
As someone with chronic constipation maybe I should give this a try
How that went? I'm slightly interested
im late but fiberful granola bars are your new best friend
My mom has always taken a teaspoon or 2 of olive oil when she feels constipated lol. I can confirm it works 😭😇

As an ex Starbucks employee, we were making fun of this drink the second we heard about it. The problem with this is that the rinsing cycle that we do with the shakers and steaming cups don’t get rid of oil residue effectively imo, and other drinks will have a slight oily taste now. Yum!
do you guys not use separate smallware for oleato?? we have one for each drink all labelled with an oleato sticker. i can totally imagine the oil hanging around in other drinks if u don’t use different ones 😭😭
@@nellie6882former Starbucks employee here as well, you would think that would be the case right? I’m completely *FLABBERGASTED* they would even think this would be a good idea💀 complete *laziness* .
Why in the HELL wouldn’t it have it’s own--never mind….
This is all I could think about when I saw it! No way employees have enough time to get all the oil residue off the equipment. Gross
Good thing I only go to 151 now lol
i work retail, and someone literally pooped in a garbage can at my work, and blamed it on this drink. it was the most traumatic thing ever.
Oh my gosh ahahahahaahahahahaah
What?! Don't you guys have restrooms right in front?
Holy ef. What an aweful person.
I was thinking the entire time watching this that it would probably work better than a laxative

We’ve been begging FOR YEARS for Starbucks to bring some of the Japan offerings over here and they do THIS
FR
Forreal, they could humor us with a Sakura frappe made with just red food coloring and milk, but nooo they give us olive oil.
I had to pay BIG money to get a cup from their Sakura collection from this year
Right!! Japan has all the cool Starbucks stuff yet they launch olive oil coffee here.

Hey there! Starbucks barista here. We were actually brought into a meeting to taste test these new "spectacular" drinks. And I straight up told my boss it tasted like dirty water, and to which he was not pleased. I hate that I'm having to tell customers that its "velvety" When I'd rather tell them it's a shitty drink and to not order it. Some nights when it's a chill shift I'll end up telling customers that it's not my taste, and i'd really get something else. Our store still does free tastings in the mornings, however. boy. the look on peoples faces. Now I loved the raspberry syrup, but getting rid of it for olive oil...it's just ridiculous. I for one do not think starbucks is okay, I think they know that they are manipulating customers into trying out these new drinks, I feel like it's a test. And it's pretty...dumb. I hate making it and I hate that I have to LIE saying it's a good drink.
and to think customers are pissed because their baristas (and whoever makes the payment software [yup, they get a cut, too]) are basically e-begging for tips i wonder why they are upset about paying for BAD advice and LYING...? i know it's not the coffee servers fault, but people are getting increasingly pissed about this type of stuff.
HOLD UP. THIS is why I can’t get my iced blonde roast latte with a pump of raspberry? 😡
@@mmm-mmmpeople have always tipped baristas at Starbucks. It has nothing to do with the iPad POS that asks for tip for all other services that traditionally do not get tipped. If you’re mad about this, how about you vote for politicians who raise the base wage so you don’t have to tip anymore?
I'm not a fan of Starbucks coffee, so I can't imagine olive oil could make it better
You shouldn't have to lie for any company. It's a Great time to look for another job, Everyone is hiring!!!
Hearing about this helped me to make the decision to never go to Starbucks again. This right here is proof that they actually have no idea what coffee is, or even how food works.
Especially food, their food is garbage go to Pete's
I've been knowing this😅
Italian person here. Besides everything wrong with this drink, It’s common knowledge in Italy that olive oil acts as a laxative if you ingest too much (2 tablespoons on an empty stomach). Coffee can have laxative effects to some people. Add the two together and the result is… well… you know.
😂 I guess anyone who’s constipated know where to get a cure now 😂
Coffee + dairy + oil
🫠
They want everyone shitting themselves 😂
People dumb enough to fall for this will 100% shit their pants and they deserve it
@@Swagberryyapparently
Can't we just ditch all of this weirdness and get diary-free milks without a surcharge?! THAT'S ALL WE REALLY WANT!
YEESSSS!! 👏🏻👏🏻
They are starting to up charge for no ice/light ice...
@@wowerz82well that makes sense because with no ice or light ice you are getting more drink/more product so the up charge is justified...
No. They just put the ice on the side and offer the option of just getting the drink without the top up or the extra dollar for the top up… and let’s be honest that a dollar is over priced. At max it should be $0.25 or $0.50 depending on the drink size. Because it’s not that much more that goes in anyways.
Yeah because non dairy milks aren’t more expensive than regular milk in the stores 🤦🏽♀️
I couldn't stop laughing for minutes! When you introduced this, I thought "Okay, wurgh, sounds greesy...but okay, if the coffee is hot enough and you drink it fast enough it might actually work..." AND THEN THEY PUT ICE IN IT!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I was in a Starbucks in Italy when it hit the shelves. They put signs and everything. Did I try it? No. Did anyone around me try it? Definitely not. Some guy looked at the promotional photos, shook their head and keep on having lunch. I told my mom and she answered me "🤭💩". Good luck competing with Aperol, Starbucks.
As a Starbucks barista, the most aweful thing I have to do daily is convince customers that the drink is good😭 when no one is looking, I make sure to warn the customers lol
I'd let customers know it's company policy to lie about the quality of certain drinks.
Then say but yah it's good
I would ignore the drink offer but would start a conversation about everything else 🤣
@@romossaeelee2162 really is nah 🤣🤣🤣
I tried it and it was good initially but then had the worst after taste… my brain went, oh… that’s the olive oil lol
My store dosnt serve Oleato drinks and honestly i'm so thankful for that. I started working just over a month ago and I havent heard about what the Oleato actually is until about 2 weeks ago, so watching this video i'm happy I dont have to serve this.
Olive oil makes box cake really moist. Starbucks should have gone with coconut oil. While it will harden in the iced drinks, it's still more palatable
Even almond or pistachio oil would have been better
Butter is pretty good. In hot coffee it basically becomes cream. And at that point you just have normal coffee again.
The closest thing I can fathom would be “bulletproof” coffee; which is a keto coffee beverage made by frothing a tablespoon of butter (or ghee, or coconut oil) into a hot coffee, making it creamy without adding carbs. However, it’s usually suggested to add sunflower lecithin (a natural emulsifier) to this, to help disperse the fat throughout the drink, rather than separating and floating to the top.
Yeah and it was usually meant to be in hot coffee and done with grassfed butter for all of the additional vitamins and minerals in that that aren't in other butters/dairy products
Difference is, MCT, medium chain triglycerides, actually have a host of health benefits, which is why they recommend it.
This drink is definitely giving me “Omg this stinks, smell it” vibes with the amount of ppl trying a drink knowing it’s gonna be nasty
same with the pink sauce
like at first it was cos it was a pink sauce, then it was because it wasn’t safe😭
i’ve actually had olive oil cakes and olive oil icecream before it was pretty good. so i went into the oleato with a positive outlook. shat myself. never again.

The one thing I'm confused about is, why basically everyone ordered it iced- it's common knowledge that oil will separate faster and 'harden' when put in cold.
Another thing I'm confused about is, why the hell would Starbucks even have an iced option on the menu.
This is exactly what I was saying. Like people put oil or butter in their hot coffee and I’ve seen it done many times (never tried it myself lol) but why offer an iced version??? It never works well
well, "common knowledge" seems not to be so common. i mean, at this point, i think we're done as a country... people as actually proud to be stupid now.
I have to wonder how much someone has to hate themselves to order this drink. They have mocha frapes, hot chocolate, caramel. In what world do you wake up one day and decide “hey I wanna order olive oil coffee”.

Lemon sounds amazing! Citrus is underrated. I bet an orange mocha would be amazing.

I can just see the person who originally suggested this (desperate for an idea and on the brink of getting fired) standing in their kitchen at 2am, eyes glazed over in existential dread, looking at their row of expired cooking oils and being like "you know what?..." I'll pass on that congealed mess.
I wonder if they walked into the boardroom, slapped their briefcase on the table, and proudly announced, “I’ve got it!!” Popped open their briefcase to find that the peanut butter they thought they had grabbed instead turned out to be olive oil and they figured they’d just go with it. 🤷🏼♀️

Believe me when I say that I worked for Starbucks for seven years, and I was part of two of the Barista Championships, and there is literally nothing as cringe and nausea inducing as the weird Starbucks cheerfest where they force you to be overly excited about everything. I won up to the point that I went to the Area level and just basked in the free coffee and left.
As an ex Starbucks employee, I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels this way😭 When we had corporate visit for our new uber eats, they had to make the uber order themselves because no one would order anything, and then cheered when the driver got there. At a fancy Italian gelato shop, I once had the olive oil gelato and it was amazing. I thought it would be awful, but the savory and sweet was mild and delicious. That being said - this was at a niche specialty small-batch gelato shop, not a Starbucks. Starbucks execs are deluded to think they could make a tasty cold drink with olive oil. It's like taking a Gordon Ramsey recipe and letting McDonald's take a swing at it.

That because 4th are using real genuine olive oil. Most of the “olive oil” in the US only contains about 10% olive oil and the rest is canola/vegetable/cottonseed/soybean oil. Which in my opinion is all really not great. Actual olive oil actually has a very sweet and smooth flavor profile and could literally be eaten by itself if you wanted. The stuff we have here is nasty

I just started working at my local Starbucks and we've been talking about this and how it is probably going to be a terrible idea. This is just confirming our suspicions. better warn people beforehand who try to order it that it causes explosive diarrhea. you know, just to prevent anyone having to clean up the mess :)
Mct oil has no taste vs. coconut oil. Some people don’t like coconut oil taste. When I was doing keto I did the Mct oil and coffee, sometimes I would add melted butter as well and as weird as that sounds if you blend it all it made the coffee really creamy and delicious. But as for olive oil and coffee, the two should never go together, I wonder if it was the cost of Mct that made them go with olive, but if they went with Mct they might’ve had something there.
@@SC-cb2pg who knows, but we’re still waiting for it.

You younger people might not be old enough to remember this, but in the 1990’s a half-fat potato chip was introduced with an ingredient called “Olestra”. 1:05 Oleato sounds a lot like that and before I finish watching this video, I’m making a prediction!
Just like Olestra did in the 1990’s, I predict Oleato coffee will make people poop their pants (they called it “anal leakage”!!). It will happen at work, in the grocery store, when you’re dropping your kids off at school, or when you get to school, in your gym, in the public swimming pool. While you’re standing at the altar trying to get married. People will be “loose” everywhere! Another Worldwide Craptatsrophy thanks to Starbucks. Mark my words.
Edit: yeah, like that!
I'm old enough to remember Olestra, but not old enough to remember the poop disaster it apparently caused for everyone 😆
@SheWho....can't wait til folks wear their summer white shorts and order up these shi**y drinks. And the restrooms are in in use. And there is a long wait time for the restroom. Stop buying this crap. Literally.
Yup. Anal leakage. It was a terrifying experience. When you are young and oily poop starts leaking out your butt. No amount of clenching will stop it.
I remember that, but you've also unearthed my memories of that fad diet pill "Ali" I think it was? Which basically stopped your body from absorbing fats, but because people didn't realize that all the fat they ate still had to go _somewhere_ after they ate it, it resulted in them having oily secretions leaking from their ass? And the company had to make a statement to stop eating high fat food while on the pill 😂
I remember Olestra and how it was touted as a miracle product for weight loss and let me tell ya...I'm super glad I didn't try it. How it got past product testing is beyond me. Same for this drink.
My cat would like it. His name is Oliver. If we didn't put the olive oil in the cabinet, we used to leave it on the counter, he will lick the cap. His life's motto comes from a different Oliver, Oliver Twist, "Please Sir, I want some more". We feed him enough, he just loves food.

I know this is 11 months old, but all the liquid creamers from the grocery store (coffee mate etc.) they're all mostly just vegetable oil anyway. It makes the coffee super creamy and delicious. If you put plain milk or plain cream into your coffee it won't be as creamy as the oil creamers.
As a European who isn't from Italy I can confirm that even when you're not in the center of olive oil high life there's still a ton of incentives to cook with olive oil and if it's just to put a swig on your salad. Honestly, that's my standard salad dressing: Bit of olive oil, salt, pepper. That's all. The oil helps you digest some of the raw ingredients, like carrots. The fat wont infuse without the vinegar. You're doing yourself injustice.

What really boggles my mind is the fact that so many different people had to approve this and give it the okay for it to end up in stores. All of them should be fired.
I’m pretty positive that iced or hot the olive oil needs to be properly emulsified into the coffee or foam or whatever. The higher ups approving this probably had a properly made drink, whereas on a large scale in the retail locations, for whatever reason, this isn’t being done. I still think it would taste like shit, but I doubt people approved of any drink with a visible floating layer of oil on it 🤮

now im curious too
Only one way to find out!
Right??? I was thinking the same thing 😂
I worked for Starbucks for 16 years and I am BAFFLED as to HOW this was even approved by ANYONE from corporate. 😂 GAG !
I think someone wondered, how can we get everyone to talk about Starbucks again? And someone thought if they made something so out there to serve during the summer we would start talking about Starbucks again.😊
Loved the knotting hill reference 😭😭
Okay so this situation i think is technique based. I have a feeling the olive oil needs to be added to plant milk (that has micro particles that the oil can bind to) and mixed in a blender at high speed
I make lemon water at home where I blend the whole lemon with water, honey, ginger and olive oil and after straining the lemon residue im left with a white milky looking and tasting liquid that i drink in the summer. So based off that, I think that in the same way, in order for the oil to bind into a liquid, in this case the milk, you should be using oat milk / almond milk or cashew milk to make this work.
Other than that, next time im consipated, i know what im drinking xD
I think there's a technique issue. The video I saw of the test audiences didn't have a separate layer on the drink. Which tells me they emulsified the oil with the oat milk and then add it to the coffee. Which I've seen done with keto coconut oil coffee drinks. (They use oat milk because it almost always has an emulsifier in the ingredients. So maybe part of the problem is that people are ordering it with dairy milk.) Also, it looks like they're using waaaay too much oil.
Like, it's not a terrible idea, but it'd be tricky to get right. Which means it's a terrible idea for mass-market fast food.
Yes, chain restaurants bruh.
I literally had the same thought, like oil can probably go into coffee quite well when emulsified, but you’re gonna ask a sixteen year old to do that? Something that professional chefs admit is a tricky process? I’d totally try this at a bougie cafe because I’d trust that the professional baristas could handle it, but it’s unfair to ask Starbucks employees to fulfill a difficult task like that.
Interesting observation! I wondered how the showcase examples didn't look disgusting, but figured they must've only really become gross when the drink became cold. I wonder if corporate has fixed this issue with retraining by now.
I use thc infused coconut oil in my coffee and have no issues but I use steamed almond milk so maybe that's it...or maybe I'm just slightly high and everything tastes lovely!!?🤔😁✌❤
I love coffee. I drink it every morning. I love olive oil. I cook everything in it. I REFUSE TO DRINK THAT.
This is the best video I've watched in months. Subbing.
Look at you talking science. LOVE IT!
Does anyone else remember the Olestra chips in the 90s?!?!? Poop galore indeed! And here we are with Oleato....how soon we forget 😂😂😂
This was literally the FIRST thing I thought of when I saw this stamped on the door of the Starbucks near me in Seattle. With that name , I truly thought they were bringing back the fake fat from the 90s that caused anal leakage, and it looks like I wasn't far off!
Were those the chips that left that film on your teeth like socks ??
@@scray00 I was too afraid of pooping my pants to try them
I’m lactose intolerant, most of Starbucks food items already cause stomach problems for me anyway so this drink is very on brand
Same ♥
Me too. And foods made with almond milk, cashew milk, and oat milk is expensive! Look on the food labels and many things say ""Contains milk"" :( And the Lactaid tabs are also expensive. ** Sigh ** The lactose intolerant life sucks :(
Yep lol. I’m lactose intolerant and have IBS. I’m pretty sure this oleato line will make sure I wouldn’t be getting of the toilet for an entire day
“Olive oil consumed in large amounts may cause diarrhea”
@@kittygoddess4477 Idk if it helps but I know Walmart has bigger cheaper lactose pill in their own brand. I get it for my kids.
Enjoyed the video, followed when I saw the African grey haha
❤Your lil birb is so cute❤
Oleato literally just makes me think of the Olean chips that gave everyone upset stomachs around the 2000s.
I forgot about that! and there were these diet pills called Alli with a similar ingredient that made my friend 💩her skirt on a date with her bf. she tried to write it off as a one time incident, even though I warned her, like "don't do it girl" but she wouldn't listen and ended up doing it again at a Texas Roadhouse
That was SOY oil and it’s a serious trans fat that DOES NOT break down in the body. Hence, if you overate it, you got the runs. Same with diabetic candy and treats that has “sugar alcohols”.
Lmao I thought those chips were made up! Like strictly a prop for a funny scene in "the Sweetest Thing" 🤯
I had the same thought!
@@tablescissors67 someone managed to make those triglyceride molecules so damn big they could use our intestines as slip-n-slide 😭
I don't mind the concept of olive oil in coffee. I've had an olive oil latte (hot, blended, made by a professional), and I think it can be good. I imagine the trick is to 1). not use a ton of oil in the drink, 2). blend it VERY well, and 3). drink it quickly. Definitely don't serve it cold, as you said. Also, 4). don't serve it in huge quantities. To solve both the issue of digestive problems and oil layering, maybe a tall drink at largest.
I imagine the heavy promotion is due to the unusual combination, and trying to convince customers through a larger output of testimonies from connoisseurs.
Exactly 👏
Yeah I can understand it in a sideways way. I thought butter in coffee sounded weird, but then I realized it's similar to the way butteriness works in toffee; it cuts bitterness and blends with sweetness in an amazing way. I love it now. Olive oil seems a little weird to me (especially cold! wtf?) but I can grok the idea in a hot coffee for sure.
This! So much this.
Yeah that’s exactly what I’m thinking! When I first heard of it I didn’t think it was gonna be that bad because I pictured like a… hot drink served in a small quantity 😭😭
Exactly! You can even take it to the next level with a little cocoa in the mix!
When olive oil first came to Sweden in the mid 1900s it was exclusively sold in the pharmacy as a laxative. :)
I use to be a hairdresser too and had fun recalling the cosmo parties
I've seen so many awesome suggestions that people have made for drinks, like lavender syrup, or some ideas borrowed from Starbucks in Japan. But no. We get olive oil lattes. What the actual Hell. Lmao
Omg I want lavender syrup soooo bad.
jokes on you if you drink it, mwahhhh, SATAN........
@@joesmith9216 👀
It's amazing! Really good with matcha, too.
When I make iced coffee at home, I often add lavender syrup.
We have our hospice patients add a little bit of olive oil to their coffee if they're constipated. Works like a charm!
I know it’s a real thing to add butter to your coffee and as a barista I’ve seen older gentlemen do it but it would never work iced. I worked for Starbucks and other cafes and like it becomes common sense that stuff mixes better when it’s hot and there’s limitations when making iced beverages. As a side note if I knew something on our menu sucked I just told the customer straight up. I’d rather someone do that for me so I don’t waste my money.
I missed this entire fad and I'm not sorry 😂😂😂 thanks for taking one for the team ❤😂
Crazy weird how advertising works sometimes. I am chronically online and have never heard of this.
Same!!!
same, and on tiktok i see tons of iced coffee people even though i don't drink coffee at all
I drink coffee in the mornings because it’s delicious and it keeps me regular. Adding olive oil to that sounds like a literal fight for my life.
Ooohh hey! I live in Missouri too! Springfield! I had no idea you lived in MO too. Cool.
Loved the old school Rachael ray reference toward the end !
My $120 Delonghi espresso maker was DEFINITELY worth it now 😂 Starbucks has gone wild and the prices are too 🙃
Espresso machines are definitely worth the investment
yes!
Oh, I have been looking at them. Can’t decide which is the best. Any advice?
absolutely; you can also drink a much higher quality coffee
As a former sbux barista and a current hairstylist, i felt you deep in my soul when you talked about the partners meetings lol. Like this is what happens when you jump on trends without researching. Coconut oil is the best tbh. I had a gym make coffee with coconut oil(HOT OF COURSE) and of course you get the good coconut flavor but it's not as thick. But I'll take a good old coffee and keep my oils on FOOD
Coconut coffee creamer with a bit of its natural oils (in the creamer) is really good honestly, this oleato is sjust disgusting to look at, and it's not worth getting a sick colon in my case. I have actually never tasted anything good in Starbucks, I don't really like any of their drinks.
i have been drinking olive oil and unsalted butter and occasionally coconut oil in my coffee for years its just bullet proof coffee... this is just going viral because people like to make poop jokes
Yeah I know people who use butter and they say they prefer it over cream but it’s always with hot coffee.
What a good sport. 👍 Being willing to change perspectives is so important ❤

In the Mediterranean region we have straight up olive oil to ease our tummies like the Italian guy said, hell my grandpa used to take a shot of olive oil each morning he's the healthiest person I know at age 90 but never EVER have we mixed it in coffee.
@@mikassaakermann5561 My grandma is a very healthy 93 year old and she has never once taken a shot of oil so I don't think the two things are related.

I love your videos. You’re like a blend of Jennifer Coolidge and Melissa McCarthy in your comedy. I mean that as a compliment. Keep up the great work!
I thought it was obvious if you add olive oil to cold coffee the oil solidifies. Like the hack where you use an ice cube to remove fat from broth or whatever 😂
I recently lost my mum. Grieving hard. But whenever I feel really low I watch you and you crack me up. Thank you xxx
So sorry for your loss. Hang in there. Take care xx
Aww honey I am sorry for your loss 😢. Hang in there.

So, regarding the infusion part.
Milk is an emulsion, so it has sustances in it that act as emulgators. So, if they actually "infuse" the milk with the oil, the oil should theoretically not seperate. Seeing, how the oil sits on top in a layer, I'm pretty sure that they either a) did not actually properlly mix the oil into the milk first or b) used too much oil, and thus the oil kind of "out competes" the emulgators (essentially there aren'T enough emulgators to bind all that oil)
So in theory, it should work to add olive oil and have it not seperate, but they aren't doing it right. I suppose if you wanted to recreate this drink, you could try out the effectiveness of emulsions with different types of milks.
I could imagine that this works really well with low-fat-milk as milk-fat has been removed from the milk, so another type of fat can take it's place. How sensible that is, I'll leave up to you.

a chemistry major
This is the first video I watched of yours, you are so funny and I like your face :)
I'm so glad I bought an espresso machine and know how to make syrups myself 🤣 I worked for Starbucks corp twice, it was a nightmare and they are awful to workers. All their toasted vanilla drinks failed and so did the olive oil drinks, meanwhile they're raising prices of their bread and butter drinks/syrups/add ons. It's about time the monsters who run this company were brought down a peg.

It makes so much sense that this oleato would have done well in Italy. Italians SO SELDOM drink cold coffee. When I went on my honeymoon, a tourist area was marked by the offering of iced coffees. Also, you’d only find coffee with milk in the morning- most of the time you just have espresso.
Italians DO NOT PUT OIL IN COFFEE
Can confirm. Same for Portugal. Also, lattes are traditionally kids' drinks. Like, if you're in a coffee shop with grown-ups and you're younger than like 15-17, and your parents don't want to buy you a fizzy drink or whatever, they may ask for a very, VERY mild latte in a regular water glass, and you drink that as a treat. I also used to make myself lattes for breakfast as a teenager. But if you are old enough and you go to a coffee shop, you get black espresso. It even used to be a rite of passage for Portuguese teens when I was one (not sure if it still is.)
Just started watching you and I’m subscribing because of your bird! Ok, your content delivery is great, too.
Used to work at Starbucks, the cold oleato has oat milk added for last: you basically shake olive oil, espresso shots, hazelnut syrup and ice, pour it in the cup and add milk
