- In this video our 8s Traxxas Sledge goes 70 MPH! We start off with 6s. A drive shaft breaks! We fix it. Then, we throw 8s in it.

What I'm very curious about is: did you have to put in another motor for 8s or was that standard Traxxas sledge motor? If not, which 8s battery can you place in it with a standard motor? Thanks in advance.
It was the stock motor. I was using 2 Traxxas 4s batteries :)
I don't suggest running it too hard for too long but, it's great fun!
I don't see why it says right on the box "70+MPH" for the Sledge. it's a bit more work than a gear change.

We got it from Horizon hobby site i believe. Im pretty sure it was around $100

No, this is with a VXL 8s esc. It was tough to get it in but, I managed.

Yes
I definitely don’t think it’s drive line is tough enough to hold up to 8s. I’m not sure it will hold up on hard-core 6S bashing. Hopefully someone makes some beefed up driveline components. Or they just drop a fifth scale version of this
That breakage is wild. I’ve never seen one snap like that.
It was on 6s when it busted so, that was definitely interesting

that's a work in progress. I don't have any tires that will allow that at the moment.
If you gear it up more. 96mph on 8s
The tire size seems to have been an issue as well. I should’ve gotten a taller tire
thought it was supposed to go 70+ on 6s with gearing
The stock tires can't take that kind of speed. it probably will do 70+ with the right gears and with bigger tires than what I have on here.
There's really no point in going that fast if you aren't going to send it. Is there?
