Couple of tips from a Union Carpenter who spent more time in one of those than on the ground. 1. Make a rubber cover to throw over the top control box to keep snow, ice, and rain off the controls. Just zip tie it to the metal half cover and flip it out of your way when in use. 2. make a metal box that hangs off the back rail next to the control panel to store tools, screws, nails etc. Lots of guys just store stuff on the platform and they keep tripping over their own tools. Mine I make removable to fit on Scissor lifts Baker scaffolds. They do sell them, but they are pricy and made of cheap plastic.3. Whenever you go up in one make shure you have your phone with you to call for help if the machine dies the emergency electric back up can only be operated from the bottom control board. I was in a 120' and the engine ran away. Had to wait 2hr. to get down. At least I was still on the pay roll. Great buy. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year.🍻

Some questions Why didn't you replace the O-ring on the third injector? It must be in the same condition as the other two.
Are you sure the current battery is big enough to start the engine after using power tools? Is there space for a larger battery?
You definitely would fix the basket and paint it. The boom might also need pain. Same goes with the gray area behind. The rest looks great. Nice video.

Agree on the 3rd injector 'O' Ring. Just a matter of time. I have heard plastic in line fuel filters can be problematic when close to a heat source as opposed to the metal filter you removed.

The thing you refer as fuel shut off solenoid is the oil pressure or oil temperature sensor. The fuel shut off solenoid is behind the fan shroud. You need to remove the belt tensionner to access to it. It's bolted in the front of the engine.

Nice work. Those Redi-line motor generators are great but be careful about the load you put on it. In order to get the rated output, the motor-generator needs gobs of current, especially if you expect it to start up quickly under a heavy load. (You risk sagging the AC voltage to your tool at startup if the current requirements aren't satisfied) At maximum output, you can expect to draw more than 150A continuous from your battery. I'd upgrade to a large deep cycle battery or two and move to 0AWG cables everywhere.

The first rule of cleaning ANYTHING is to start at the top, otherwise you are washing the dirt onto the surface you have just cleaned, wasting time energy and materials, also more wear and tear on any equipment, it also has the advantage of the lower parts get a soaking to release dirt while you work your way down possibly speeding the job up and saving on materials.

Instead of repairing the harness the way you did. I would recommend just changing it over to a Deutsch DT style connector. Much better quality and finish overall that way. I know you keep everything on a pretty tight budget, but its not terribly expensive. Rough estimate $25-35 to redo the wiring and replace with a DT 12 pin connector (they don't have a 10 pin), and the off brand crimpers can be purchased for cheap as well.

Nice lift and great job so far! I would definitely paint the boom once all the bent metal is squared away. Maybe you can get away with paint 'touch-ups' on the main boom. If I was going to keep it for myself, I'd also fix up the boom control panel so all the controls are well labeled and easy to see (it looked like a mess of splashed paint and worn off markings). Someone else mentioned a rubber flap cover for the panel to keep the water off of it, which is a great idea also. Keep up the good work and thanks for bringing us along. Looking forward to Part 2!

Great job Darrell. We hire a lot of those Genie booms and they are pretty reliable. The timing belt on those Deutz engines does get over looked though. Nice mod on the basket power! Keep up the good work brother 😊

@@TheHomePros6221 well hopefully it won't last long but I know laying in the bed all the time doesn't help anything....the more u get up and force yourself to move around the better .....laying on your back too long can cause pneumonia to set up...and that wouldn't be good since u already have COVID, but to each their own....hope ya feel better buddy. And let me know what ya want for one of them drones before I go and spend the money on something else.
