Found a old push mower in the trash, I welded up the deck as it was cracked, painted it, Rings were worn so I homed and threw new rings in, thing ran like a champ, Gave it to my neighbor, someone stole hers. Love finding stuff like this to work on.

Oil pressure issues. Just replaced sending unit, about $16 OEM online part. Had intermittent engine stops for about a week prior.. began seeping oil through wire connection threads.

Careful with those side panels. They get heat brittle and start to break up. Just used a couple of big tubes of JB weld and hail screen to put both back together.

Dont tighten belts too tight, it will ruin the bearings with alot of tension.(old man wisdom) if they are squealing, the damage is already done. Also mowing decks should be setup slightly lower in the front..(little known tech tip)

That cylinder piston end that was first loose then tightened up even with the set screw removed. I do not know if your torches have the ability, but with a torch rosebud I used to heat them up red hot. If red hot they just give up no matter what. In your case the piston seals would first be removed so as not to melt them to the piston. With proper maintenance these bushings will not be worn even after 20 years is greased every morning like farmer's do with their equipment. Unused equipment can just sit until needed, then grease before use. If not being used greasing all the time creates messy headaches. With the house removed your chances of getting hurt rises drastically on a tip over.

I bought a Allis Chalmers AC130 lawn mower for 50 bucks, wouldn't run, and needed a spindle, I got it it running, cleaned the carb and that was it, and the spindle, I cut one in half that was on a craftsman tractor and welded it to the Allis, been great for the 2 years I've owned it. Had a Troy built Pony that had a Kolar engine I got for free, threw a rod and sat for years, I put a 23 horse briggs on it, and sold that thing, Love finding stuff like this and fixing worn out stuff others deemed junk.
