  • Doing the dragons muscles this time around.. and now its REALLY taking shape! Hard to believe I have gotten this far in just 4 videos! This just goes to show that if something at first seems too hard to do, or even intimidating, that only by taking those first few steps will you ever know if its possible. I am having so much fun with this project... I almost don't want it to end.. Like a GOOD book, know what I mean? Drop me a comment and let me know what you think? Are you as excited as me? We should start talking about final details now, being were so close!! Hope you enjoy this, and thank you so much for watching!!

    I came across your dragon because I'm making a spirit doll and needed more ideas for making an armature and covering with Polymer Clay. Your films are SO interesting and informative. Thank you SO much!

    One more thing... This is not a commissioned piece, or a business deal. Its a "fun" art project and learning experience.. If I fail, that's o.k. It seems too many artists worry about what other people think.. too much. The meaning of art has changed greatly in this competitive world which we live in today. I see art in a different way. As a form of relaxation, expression. And If this turns out weird, I will be just as happy for trying.

  • @chriswise7786
    @chriswise7786 Před 8 lety

    I just started sculpting and that was great... I just wanted to point something out as far as detail is concerned. I have seen other Sculptures do and it looks amazing. They will sculpt a "Rib Cage" , "Hip Bones" on top of the armature and then attach muscle to it much like you did so that you can see a Hint of the "bone". That helped me with sculpting People. JC Cappelletti comes to mind. But you Probably have figure something out that works for you so disregard if it is something you know already. Thanks for the videos.

    I forgot to add. The back legs should be wider then the front legs. For stronger muscles and ability to push off of the ground if the wind doesn't add enough lift. So cool. For a second there I thought it reminded me of the "Dragon Booster" series!

    @nopseudosleft56 Před 12 lety

    Wow this is great, coming on really good, the muscles are amazing! The only thing that I'm not too sure about is the tummy area, it looks a bit straight to me. You know how when you look at a dog or cat from the side, the chest comes down and the tummy part arches up a bit? I reckon that would look good on the dragon, I mean just a small difference between the two that's all,just to keep it from looking too straight. Don't know if you agree with that at all?But anyway, it looks amazing!

    Good question. I'm still not sure if it will be "just"the dragon, or if there will be small patches of earth under each foot... As far as a whole base for him to stand on, I'd rather not.. He's stretched out awfully long lol Something like that could be added later, so I'll have to keep it in mind.
    * If I do small round disks for each foot to stand on this will also help protect the dragons claws from becoming damaged. I could always paint them a high contrasting color so it doesn't confuse

  • @TheBroodingTom
    @TheBroodingTom  Před 12 lety

    I can't explain how, but in my mind I see it just fine. Another way to look at it is I can make the the heads a little smaller... Kinda like the glass is half-full, half-empty theory.. Its just a different way of looking at things. lol
