- 👉 Episode 1 - Welcome to my exciting travel journey in India! In this series, I invite you to join me as I explore the diverse and fascinating aspects of this incredible country. India is a country that is full of surprises, and I was blown away by the hidden gems that I discovered on my trip.
Starting from Mumbai, I was amazed by the bustling and productive slum of Dharavi. This unique community showcases the ingenuity and resourcefulness of the locals. It was a humbling experience to witness how the residents of Dharavi have made the most of their challenging living conditions, and it truly opened my eyes to a different way of life.
Next up was Goa, where I fell in love with the beautiful beaches and lively nightlife of this region. As a Chef and foodie, I was thrilled to try new dishes with unique flavours and spices that I had never tasted before. From the famous seafood curries to the mysore masala dosa, the cuisine in Goa was truly unforgettable.
To fully immerse myself in the local culture, I also rode a scooter like a local. It was both exhilarating and a great way to explore the area. I felt like I was experiencing India in the most authentic way possible.
I hope you enjoyed this vlog showcasing my incredible adventure through India. Be sure to check in for the rest of my Indian series, where I'll be exploring even more hidden gems and sharing more of my unforgettable experiences. And don't forget to hit that subscribe button so you don't miss out on any of my upcoming travel adventures! Joel Mielle.

What Is the camera that takes these wonderful shots?

It's not the camera, it's the operator 😂
Congratulations Chef Joel on reaching 1M Subscribers! What an amazing Video!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much Rose! ❤❤
Excellent video Joel, amazing to see the slums of Dharavi. People seemed happy so who am i to judge. Then to travel to Goa, what a complete change. Thanks again for being our travel guide
Thanks Randy, yes there's a lot of contrast in India, glad you found it entertaining.
Unless you visit kolkata you cannot understand India. Its a place of quality food with the most lowest range of price. Within rupees 30 you can have your lunch with rice, dal , bhaji (fried vegetables), sabji ( vegetables with gravy), alu chokha ( boiled potato ), papad and salad. .....very very reasonable for poors
True 😊
Then I have to go back! ❤
@@recipe30 surely. I can suggest you, in the sweet category you must try Rosogolla from chittaranjan, Sandesh from Nakur and bhim nag. Try local street food fuchka , jhal muri, kathi rolls, , bengali cuisine at 6 Ballygunge place, chinese cuisine at the china town......bengali cuisine consist of sukto, daal, jhuri alubhaja, chochchori ( you can not spell 😄) elish mach ( hilsa), prawn malaicurry, mutton kosha, misti doi( sweet curd), gondho raj ghol, misti pan
Beside this I just love your way of presentation, the way your picking up the pepper pot, and you irish setter
Congratulations on your 1 million subscribers....I loved this video and the way you captured this episode...so much compassion and humble...you did not say anything negative...you are great chef
Thank you so much Regina 😀
You ride like a proper Indian, chef! 😎😈😍🤗
Love your recipes Chef Joel! And a very warm welcome to India! India is a land of diversity - from the filthy rich to the poverty stricken.. but there are a LOT of people in between these two extremes. You should visit the places most Indian middle class people visit and enjoy the variety of cuisines - I assure you, you will not be disappointed by the love and warmth of the people and the delicious dishes they make!!
Yes I was suppose to visit a couple middle class homes and see their cuisine, however timing made it impossible which was sad.
Thank you for taking us on your journey to India, great video 👍

You are in India. What a surprise. Please do visit Chennai...
Not long enough I'm afraid, next time!
Beaches are gorgeous, but everything else ..... I'd rather stay home. 🙂
Depends what you're looking for. I love a total change of culture.
Jalebi is a dessert, not a main breakfast
Everyone was having it for breakfast.
Здоровья Вам ! Берегите себя!...У каждого своя Голгофа, ..Здоровья жителям ! 🙏👍Health to you! Take care of yourself! ... Everyone has their own Golgotha, .. Health to the inhabitants!🙏👍
Cheers ❤
I'm from goa and i do watch your videos.
Awesome! ❤
1000000 ОК
Chef, thanks for sharing this video; very educational and really enjoyable!
I am familiar with Jalebi, the minature clay pots (which is called Deyas in my country), cocoa and coffee. I love Jalebi, which is mostly available during Eid-Ul-Fitr, the Muslim holiday, while the Deyas are used by the Hindus during Diwali.
Trinidad is a diversity of culture and we are privileged to enjoy all of it!
Sending love and hugs to Whiskey ❤
Thanks for the info Nat, love passed on to Whiskey! ❤
@@recipe30 Welcome and thanks dear Chef 😊

It's exquisite leather because the workers have poured their life-force into it. Underpaid.
I am leather bags designer from Mumbai dharavi any 1 want to visit
Chef, will you go to Vietnam soon?
It looks like you love Asia.
It's on the cards!
@@recipe30 lucky you.
U should visit Pakistan 🇵🇰 n feel the hospitality
Who’s watching the dog?
My parents
Are you still there? If you get to Mysore, you must experience the castor oil bath at Three Sisters Thali!
Where is the dog now?
Everyone is concerned about the dog, my parents are looking after him. 😂
So, you came to Mumbai to show slums? Why don't you show the developed parts of Mumbai like Bandra Kurla complex, Hiranandani Powai, Cuff De Parade, Tardeo, Marine Drive, etc.?
That is one country I would never visit 😢 why would anyone want to see so much. Misery ? You didn’t eat anything from street did you ? So much difference between classes 😢😢
For me exploring diverse cultures and experiencing how people from different walks of life live, whether they are affluent or less privileged, is an excellent way to broaden my horizons and gain personal growth.
Welcome To India ... Our Great Motherland ...
Cheers!
Why this ppl gng Dharvi
Why not? All cultures and way of life are interesting.
