    Tejas and vande Bharat are not luxurious trains , they're just semi high speed trains , India has got many luxurious trains like the maharaja express,palace on wheels ,the golden chariot , Deccan Odyssey etc which cost about 7k USD to 24k USD per person

    Veg cake means no eggs. In India , egg is considered as non vegetarian. Sheera or Suji is made from broken wheat and cashew, nuts and sugar are added. That's called Suji ka Halwa in Hindi or Sheera in Marathi. Again it's vegetarian. Not a pudding, though.

      Sheera and Halwa have different consistency. North India mein bhee sheera hee bolte hain but Sheera has a very watery consistency whereas Halwa is more solid.

    There are only two trains currently which run at 160kmph
    1.Gatimaan express ( Delhi - Agra)
    2.Vande Bharat express ( Delhi- Bhopal)
    Travel in one of those to get the action of Indian railways

    That yellow pudding is called as sheera which is a sweet dish of Maharashtra and also you can find other versions of sheera in different parts of Indian which is customised in different parts of India.I hope it is understandable because some foods you can explain it on words wish you both a happy and pleasent stay in India 😊

    The pudding or the butternut squash (as Dan calls it) is actually an Indian dessert known as Sheera (Marathi) or Sooji ka Halwa (Hindi) made with lots of Ghee (highly-clarified butter), Sooji (Semolina), Sugar and Yellow/Orange food coloring. Sometimes you get it with added dry fruits and nuts like raisins, almonds, cashews, etc. It is the most consumed dessert item in India's Northern, North-Western, South-Western, Central & North-Eastern belts.

    Konkan area of Maharashtra is a very difficult terrain for train tracks. There are often land slides in rainy season. So trains don't run at full speed.
    Sheera is a sweet dish made from semolina flour. From the colour it looks like it was pineapple flavoured Sheera

    The train can reach 160, but the tracks don't allow them to up to that speed. If you want to reach 160, Try Gatiman Express which goes from Delhi to Jhansi.

    Tejas is capped at 130 km/hr. The 160 is the maximum speed, but it is limited to 130km or fewer. The nature of the tracks do not allow the newer higher speed trains to run at hight speeds. Your average speed will be around 75 km/hr.

    It's called shira in maharashtra and sooji ka halwa in northern part of India..made up of sooji / rawa /semolina flour, made of granulated wheat, mixed with sugar and water. In your case they added pineapple flavour with pineapple colour... dryfruits are also added in some parts...

    That pudding is a semolina pudding with some saffron added to it. Regionally called as shira in Maharashtra state. It has different names all across India.

    160 is the max speed of the train. Top speed is limited to 130 Kmph (for the time being, as lines are being upgraded for high speed trains)

    Greetings From Mumbai
    As you were travelling on Konkan Railway region, here the trains speed is Limited to Max speed of 110 to 130 KMPH due to the Terrain.
    You will find the video on youtube of how Konkan Railway route was constructed.
    Thats why the train was not Making the mark of 160kmph, but if you want to feel the real 160kmph speed then you should visit North India for boarding 12049 Gatiman Express.

      Also, when you look out of the train window, you will see large piles of garbage thrown on the tracks by passengers. It is a beautiful sight, all those colourful plastic wrappers, bottles and other muck. We love our India, so we beautify it by throwing garbage everywhere.

      This will need a major nation-wide reform. It is painful to see how ugly we've made our country. We desperately need Swach Bharat 2, this time with strict focus on educating people until it becomes an integral part of our culture.

    You guys have become my fav vlogger couple in the short span of time I have known you you on YT. The way you present content, blend in, try to dissect the dishes, savories and drinks you taste in our country for the first time particularly is interesting. Never been a Tejas Express but glad you guys have had a wonderful experience, and hope you guys did in South Goa too. I live in Margao, less than 2 kms from the Railway station you guys got down. If you guys are still here, do not forget to visit Chandor, and the ancestral/ heritage homes there and the archaeological temple site, then the museums of Goa Chitra, Goa Chakra and Goa Curti - all at one place in Benaulim, Big Foot and Casa Araujo, Figueredo Heritage House in Loutolim, then further South Cabo De Rama, Cola Beach, Kakolem Beach (Hidden Gem), Palolem Beach, and to Butterfly Beach (not by boat but by land - through a short forested trek)

    Trains attains maximum speed at night due to less interruptions but because you travelled during daytime it was bit slower.
    Also new speed constraints reduced the speeds for safety though they have more speed capability.

    Tejas Express trains are India's first semi-high speed, fully air-conditioned trains, designed to run at a maximum speed of 200 km/hr. The maximum operating speed allowed as of now is 130 km/hr due to track and safety constraints. Bhopal-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express and Gatimaan Express have a speed of 160km/hr(max) Vande Bharat express maximum speed 200 km/ hr but The Bhopal-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express maximum operating speed allowed as of now is 160 km/hr due to track and safety constraints. Also India government and The Indian railways is building the country's first bullet train from Ahmedabad, Gujarat to Mumbai, Maharashtra over 508-kilometer route. The high-speed train will run at top speed of 350 kms per hour. 25 persentage work has done as of now for India's first bullet train❤❤😊😊

      550 km jeouney for 3200 rupees too expensive..... On a non AC bus it would be 900 rs .... Or d most dirt cheap price is non reserved general coach would be 300 rs

      The distance of almost 500 kilometres will be covered in just 2 hours (including atlest 5 stops in between) by the Bullet train. The fare of ₹3200 is literally peanuts for such a fast service. Which bus does that, pray tell me?

    I definitely recommend do same trip in mansoon season. Visiting konkan/Goa is blessing. And about max speed is not reached, because it was just single track. 😔

    Shira/Suji ka Halwa is a dessert made by toasting semolina in a fat like ghee or oil, and adding a sweetener like sugar syrup or honey. It can be served for breakfast or as a dessert item. The basic recipe is made with just semolina, sugar or honey, ghee, and sometimes milk.

    Welcome to india. In india only 1train i.e., vande bharat train from bhopal to delhi touches 160 speed. Other trains are restricted to speed limit of 130/120/110 depending the section(route) in which the train is running. To taste speed thrills of indian train. Bhopal to delhi either by Vandebharat or Gatiman express.

    Welcome to India guyz and as we can see you guyz are enjoying your journey here however you boarded a Tejas Express which has a maximum speed of 130 kmph. However If yoy really wanna enjoy the speed of 160 kmph you need to board Vande Bharat Train which runs between Bhopal and Delhi. Enjoy

    Hi, You guys should definitely visit Indore, M.P., someday. Indore is the cleanest city and best food hub in central India. There are many places to explore in Indore for food, even non-vegetarian food. The weather here is pleasant for most of the year, and I am pretty sure you will enjoy it.

    Tejas express is best train for this route. Maximum speed of this train is for this Mumbai to Goa route 130 km/hr permissible bcz of the single route.you travelled one of the most beautiful route. That sweet called shira in Local language. Most eatable food in Maharashtra in occasions. Thank you for exploring India and keep travelling ❤❤

    The Konkan (Goa) Railway Line is still not upgraded to support 160kmph. 130kmph is the best it can do as of now depending on the gradient.

      It is designed for 160kmph operational speed with all the gradient and curves. Just it lacks safety certificate from CRS

    160 kmph is a max capable speed which means that if the geography supports this train can achieve that speed ...
    In mountains, or in areas having lot of curves ...trains don't really travel on Max speed due to safety reasons

    The thing is tracks and trains are technically capable of going past 150km/hour but with habitation like towns, villages, cattles every 50 kms its difficult to run on high speeds.

      Indian non-AC LHB trains are very well capable of going at 140 kmph and AC LHB trains are capable of going at 180 kmph, but the reason is as you mentioned, and also that current lines are extremely crowded due to cargo trains as well. With DFC, things will change

      Konkan railway is designed to take a top speed of 180kmph and train can commerically run at 160 kmph, infact it is the only railway line built for 160 kmph commerical operation. Even in 1999 a trail run was conducted at 180 kmph using WDP4 and LHB coaches by Konkan railway CEO. Unfortunately landslide and boudler issue has caused reduction of track speed.

    If you want to enjoy 160kmph in India then you have to board 12049/50Gatimaan Express Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station ( Delhi) to VLGB Jhansi or 20171/72VANDE BHARAT EXPRESS between Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station ( Delhi ) to Rani kamlapati railway station ( Bhopal) and vise- versa
    Or for 150 the train name is Bhopal Shatabdi Express Which runs b/w NDLS ( NEW DELHI) TO RANI KAMLAPATI RAILWAY STATION ( BHOPAL )

    8:19 You don't need to book your food for trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdhi, Tejas, Duronto. But in case you don't want food you can mention while booking tickets.

    The desert is called suji ka halwa Or sheera. It is made from semolina. It is shallow fried in clarified butter and then cooked in boiling milk and later sugar and cardamom added.
