After almost a month of travelling here in India, we have finally made it to the south and will be spending one night in a houseboat on the backwaters of Kerala.
We booked this stay with a company called India Vacationz Houseboats. They are the best when it comes to houseboats in Kerala so booking with them when wanting do such a trip is a must.
We booked the Honeymoon suite which is at the back of the boat and gives you 360 degree views of the backwaters and the room also comes with it's own bathroom as well as an aircon. So it has everything you would need.
included in our room rate was breakfast, lunch and dinner, so no need to bring anything else with you. Entertainment was also provided onboard which was so much fun. We danced like we never danced before and must say that we pulled some pretty good Indian dance moves, haha!

that fish you ate is called a Pearl Spotter.( Karimeen in local lingo). Its a brackish water fish, white meat and a lot of bones. its best eaten grilled or fried as whole fish and they also do steam it in a banana leaf with a lot of the local spices.

With just Rs.15/- as passenger fare, one can travel in government boats (Kerala State Water Transport Corporation) from Alappuzha (Alleppey) to Kottayam taking more than two hours
Both my Katie and Emma D have been there, more than once, - and loved it.

I navigated a houseboat back in 2005. Superb and simple food, dhal and rice and some fish curry I think, caught from the lakes. Quietest sleep I've had too

You guys are Simply Adorable and have got me hooked on to your channel, I am originally from Kerala but born n bred in Mumbai since 3 generations and now living in AbuDhabi. We barely have any families left in Kerala but its Soooo good to see it again through your experience. If possible do the India trip again in couple of years and do try the North Eastern states. @@thebuddymoon lolzzz yeah have seen your all vlogs andit may be bit more than 1% only....but still you have waaaay much to cover. You havent even touched the northern and north eastern parts at all.....and me as an Indian who is a avid traveller and had been traveliing to differents parts of India every year, since past several years, still believe I havent covered even 60% till date, thats how big and diverse our country is.
And also if anybody thinks that visiting just a region of India, will give them whole perspective of the country, then they are sadly mistaken as every region has a beauty and experience of its own... its like several countries within a country itself!!!

@@thebuddymoon only few days stay in delhi Rajasthan and Kerala doesn't cover india. India has 28 states and 6 union territories. And u even didn't visit himalayan states like himalchal pradesh, kashmir, sikkim. And then the modern india like hitech cities like gurugram, hyderabad,pune, surat,bangalore etc. There r many many many more. So dont even think u covered more than 1%, I really mean it. If u think so then just open detail india map, u will understand.
