He didn't get along with Kobe because Kobe outworked him & never backed down from him despite his size. Shaq was a bully who would intimidate his teammates, but that didn’t work on Kobe because he was simply fearless.

Without Kobe challenging and upstaging his teammates they probably would have won 1 title and been done. After that first title Shaq was looking to make movies and rap albums, he didn’t really care about being a champion in the nba.
