I feel blessed to have grown up in Los Angeles watching Kobe's entire career. Will never forget the feeling of knowing we could win on any given night just because we had Kobe Bryant.
Kobe graduated from the highest income zip code in PA but still was humble and avoided the pitfalls that often times come with fame.
Having a strong father helped tremendously
Peace To The Gods!!! Yes I used to live in Philly for a short while. That zip is Montgomery County. However, West Philly is literally only 2 blocks away. That’s it. West Philly is notorious for street shenanigans. North Philly is the worst and most vicious though. So even though Kobe lived in Lower Merion, all he had to do is walk like 2-3 blocks over to West Philly.
The idea that Kobe had a collection of recordings of Jordan moving left and another collection of Jordan moving right has completely changed my approach to achieving my goals.

I was simply saying he had a level of focus, discipline and desire that was extremely rare for anyone, world class athlete or not. That allowed him to accomplish so much that most will not ever be able to do in such a short time. It's not up to us how long we are above ground despite family, projects, accomplishments ect. He passed supporting his daughter and while supporting his sports academy.
Kobe did NOT accomplish everything he was put on earth to do. That’s a backwards coping mechanism thing to say because dude had another 30-40 years to raise his children, be with his wife and loved ones, as well as keep leaving his mark on the world.

Hearing stories like this confirm why I love Kobe so much. Don't get me wrong, he was extremely talented physically and as a basketball player, but somehow I got the feeling that he is one of the very few athletes that truly got 100% out of their potential. And that will always impress me more than someone who is just naturally gifted and coasts on their talent.

For Kobe at that age to be thinking about that.... that's unique and very accelerated thinking. Growing up in a two parent household gives one an advantage over a single mother household child. The calming masculinity that a solid father brings into a house creates order and logic. That cannot be duplicated by a single mother. And we see that in LeBron James.

Kobe was definitely different. Shot out to his parents, Joe and Pam Bryant. They are often overlooked, but they made him the man he was and instilled this tremendous work ethic that Kobe further cultivated. As a Bean fan, I love hearing these stories.
