I think if you've made the HOF you should get a vote. I'd definitely like to see coaches, players and ex-players get a heavier vote (particularly if they aren't allowed to vote for their teammates). JJ was a journeyman player who could shoot 3s. He was never a number 1 on a team, and only knows analytics. The league expanded by moving veteran players to the new teams. The good teams stayed good, made the playoffs and were not watered down. They did not just bring in a whole lot of new players to expand the league.
