It is not uncommon at all for CZcamsrs to advertise products, so it seems unlikely he would be giving advertising away just for the chance to review a car. So my hunch is that like other YTubers he also charges a fee for promotion.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I loved my tiburons!! I drove a 2001 for 7 years and then bought a used 2003 tiburon and drove that for another 5 years and had minimal issues with either. They were so much fun.
I loved this review. You had fun with it and the experience with the car really comes through. Great one!

@@afrosheenix on some BMWs that have an electric water pump it will keep the coolant circulating while the car is off so you can use the residual heat of the coolant to heat up the cabin while the engine is off. Not sure if it is the same with this Ferrari.
My vw has the same button, after you turn off the engine it will keep heating the cabin for 20-30 mins
You can stop at a rest stop on a cold day, take a nap but the car will keep itself warm with residual heat from the engine.

I don't normally watch Doug's car review videos (I'm more a fan of classic, goofy Doug videos), but when I do, it's because I have a good feeling it's gonna sound great. Did not disappoint today Doug, well done!
Side note, flying buttresses were used on numerous cars in the past, was more frequent back in the late 60's, early 70's.

Another great review that gives me nostalgia, I remember reading about the GTB Fiorano version of this car in 2009 in a Rob Reports magazine I got for Christmas that year and at 22 I thought the custom work done to it was awesome, it's also really special that the 599 is the last Ferrari with the awesome gated manual and being naturally aspirated. I distinctly remember winning one of these in a playground game on FH3 and driving it around Australia. It's really cool the interior is all swede and alcantara.

REST is a function for keeping your car warm after you shut it down, it blows warm air when engine is shut off. Quite a good feature if you ask me.
This car, this spec, that engine, that noise. Probably my most favourite car of all time.
The “Rest” button is for keeping your ac/heat on after turning off the engine. Used for running in the gas station real quick or store. I have it in my e92🙂 very useful for cold weather
Very surprised he mentioned it like he had no clue what it was. His S212 AMG has it, and so do most modern luxury cars. My W221 S550 had it and so does my 958 Cayenne S. I use it all the time and love it.
I also thought Doug would’ve known what it was. My 20 year old E39 M5 has a “rest” function.

Well, "Rest" is German for "residual/remaining", meaning they use the remaining heat in the system to provide some leftover hot air.
Edit: I just looked it up, even in Italian "restante" exists for that meaning.

The 'Rest' on the climate control was also a feature also on a BMW I used to own (e92) and it would filter in the heat from the engine while the car was 'resting' to keep the cabin warm if you're only leaving the car for a few minutes on a cold day.

@9:41 : the "rest" button leaves the A/C on for a little bit after you leave the car and turn it off. It can keep the car warm or cool for a short period of time while its parked. It was in 2000's era mercs too. They don't have it anymore.

The rest button allows you to maintain a warm temperature after shutting the car off. When you press the rest button with the key on and then turn it off, it will run the hot water recirculation pump and the low fan speed for 15 minutes to maintain the temperature setting while the car is off.

If it’s anything like my crossfire the rest button allows air to blow through the cabin with the ignition off Incase your stranded somewhere and cold you can still use the heat of the car.
But it doesn’t allow you to adjust fan speed only air temperature
"REST" button, just like the older BMWs is Residual Heat. Turn the car off, hit the rest button and it will continue to blow warm air through the cabin for a period of time on cold days.
Had it in my 90's Mercedes, great thing as it keeps car interior warm for about half an hour

The Dodge Stealth's had flying buttress' since the early 90's. Pretty much everything Mitsubishi was doing with the 3000GT/Stealth was well ahead of its time. Active aero suspension, AW Steering, hard top powered convertibles, active exhaust, etc. The 599XX/GTO/GTB became my favorite car and it makes sense because I've always owned 3000GTs and they have similar styles.
