For I miss these lads covering international games,remember watching these clips as a teenager with my jaw dropped, best panel in the history of football. Dunphy has his haters but Jesus at least he is himself
In my view, Dunphy is the best pundit in the history of the game, possibly in sport. Informed, passionate, funny, thought provoking. I miss those RTE days.
I agree 100%. I used to look forward to the champions league for the 4 lads as well as the football. It was dynamite and RTE’s coverage isn’t even worth watching these days. It’s all watered down and it would put u to sleep. Brian Kerr and Damian Delaney are ok on Virgin but they just aren’t the panel. Richard Dunne is a terrible pundit and they always have him on Virgin now.
The Trapponi clips are remarkable; Dunphy goes from an Evangelist to a hater, it's great stuff.
That was the best panel, dunphy, gyles, Brady and bill.

Another top show. Have you young lads ever read “A strange kind of Glory” in my opinion Dunphy wrote the greatest ever football story here. He has some kind of inside track for part of the history in the book as a United youth player. Highly recommend you read it!

The contract clause was that Nottingham Forest had to accept an offer of a million quid but when multiple offers came in they were only legally bound to accept one offer

FAI executives were living laviciously on the qualification for the world cup. They travelled first class while the rest of the team traveled regular class and it went downhill from there. The revelations about john delaney have since proved the mismanagement from the top down and Roy respectfully had had enough. Didn't have to be man u standard but going to Saipan was the bottom option so the FAI could penny pinch
