- I picked up a bargain at the local flea market, its a Tesoro Bandido Metal detector - apparently a bit of an 80's classic. A quick repair and its up and running.
Searching for items on eBay is now much quicker and easier using shopoftheworld.com a website I have been working on for a few months - you can help support the channel by visiting and using for your eBay searches, thanks.

Nice work👍
I was actually out with your nephew this evening on club land, we managed a hammered coin between us, albeit knackered and in 3 pieces! I'm sure in time he'll show you.
You should get back on the fields 👍
Hi Luke yes simon told me he had been out and showed me the hammered that James found , good stuff where do you have permissions?
Actually don’t tell me on here
I'll leave it to James to tell you, it's a club, permission is hard to gain.
Great channel keep it up! 👍
If you ever have a damaged 9v battery connector in any device, use pliers to peel the metal case off a dead 9v battery and cannibalize the battery's terminal board. You can solder directly to the back side of the terminal board. Remember to make your connections in reverse from how the polarity is labeled on a 9v battery. When making your solder connections, the positive wire goes to the large terminal and negative wire goes to the small terminal. It's free and it's dead easy!
Good tip
Any tesoro is desirable now since the company went out of business several years ago. They were manufactured in arizona and still have a near cult like following here in the states. Its a real shame they are no longer around, they have a unique sound and personality like no other detector on the market. Don't know about other countries but here in the U.S tesoros continue to bring premium prices
Thanks for the info
😢
You can use a shotgun cleaning rod to scrub out the telescoping portions of the shaft. I have a Tesoro Outlaw and it is a *cracking-good* detector.
Hoping to take it out properly this autumn
Vg, back to the olden times for you, there are clubs where you can go for an organised day fyi 😉
yep will have to make enquiries - more hobbies - its like fishing in the earth
What is the depth of this ancient masterpiece?❤
I believe it’s around a 1994 vintage. Awesome machine. Lucky find.
