Ahhh love the tesoros. Especially the hole-grill older ones with the higher pitch beep. Alot of information in that one beep being analog. Round, scratchy, smacking, double beep close to coil/ring, abbreviated, etc.
Alex here from the UK. A very experienced detectorist that has used all the Tesoro's, Garrett's and have ended up with the XP ORX. However, I must say that the machine you are currently using is, in my humble opinion, the best detector ever made. It is an excellent 6" max coin finder but unfortunately can't match the depth of the modern machines. I really miss my Silver. Happy hunting buddy.
I absolutely love this little machines.. They found me the most treasure and the least trash. Used a lot of machines , also the high end ones, but i take a tesoro over any and i mean any beeping stick out there no matter the particular detector . They are superb sticks. Metal detecting gets nice again when u use them.
@@Allhailthebeavertail Totally understand that, Used the vaquero , silver sabre and silver u max , and the vaquero even was up par with my explorers on depth , and even could challenge any explorer in good soil. Still its a mystery to me that there can be so much information in just one tone whereas there are ao many detector with at least 5 tones or 50 even… that say less then the single tone beeper. Tesoro come back and start making these things again 👊🏽
Do you have any tips for a beginner with one of these? I have a Tesoro Sabre 2, and I was struggling figuring out the settings and was thinking of getting a modern detector like a simplex. Should i hold off and try to figure out this Tesoro? It was my dads and he found some really cool stuff back when i was a kid.
I have a SS micro max and a Tesoro Mojave. Still use and like them a lot. Have had quite a few other Tesoros in the past. I have other much higher priced detectors, but my Tesoros get a lot of use, and are my lightest . I'll never part with mine.
I agree with you. I have a Garett freedom ace coin commander that will be in an upcoming video and I absolutely love it. I also have a fisher 1210-x but it’s more of a wall hanger lol
I have several analog machines and find myself using them more than my digital Ones. I’m feeling it in my knees but I really don’t wanna wear knee pads! 😂😂😂
@@Allhailthebeavertail I got a set of "no cry" knee pads. They're really nice and comfy. How they'll fair after a whole day of detecting I don't know. But have to try something. Knees are getting older than me haha
@@Allhailthebeavertail up here in Michigan it's a bit past detecting season. We had a day or two in the mid 40s but it's down to 35 during the day now. Definitely getting out more next year. I worked alot this year and didn't get out but a few times. Probably part of the reason I got the legend to make sure I get out. Haha
I think itln some ways its easier using tesoro. You can spend alot of time deciphering VDI numbers and tones and stuff and still end up with junk. Haha. But i like my fancy machines too. Tesoro just fun
Loads are returning back to anologue detectors got no unreliable I'd numbers bouncing around every were , all these added bells and whistles ect ,with these anologue detectors it beep, dig it , make ya wonder how many people have missed a top find cos unreliable ID number s

Tesoro are fantastic detectors I sold all of mine when then went bust as who's going to fix them if they go wrong
I currently have 11 tesoros. Never getting rid of any of them lol.
Finally got a set of knee pads. Took me 8 years but knees are crying every season.

I can't see the difference between my etrac and tesoro vaquero to be honest other than salt beaches just learn how to GB properly your on a winner
