Thank you for watching. - Komedie
It happened to me, it was horrible.
I lost my job and was forced to live in my car, which I couldn't afford the payments for.
That piece of crap drove itself back to the Ford plant in the middle of the night, with me sleeping in the back.
They forced me to work there for the next six months to pay the interest on the loan...
Wash all the dishes at the cafeteria too!
Oh my God you make me laugh to tears. I was forced to retire so I'm fucked. A good laugh is ALWAYS welcome!
Ah!! Sorry to hear you were forced Mike, but glad to hear I make you laugh 👍🙂
@@DianeSpencercomedian You were just what I needed today!
It's weird that a brit other than John Oliver is teaching me about the goings on in my own country. Thanks for hilarious and educational content. And your American accents are fantastic.
Thank you so much!! I've actually been doing an audio course, which I think was originally created for non-English speakers, but it's really helped me.
They can't even get a car to drive itself reliably on a programmed course in an empty lot.
What could possibly go wrong?
☝️nailed it
YET....
I just found you on CZcams, thank you, for all of the laughs! Much love from Kentucky!
Lovely!! Thank you :) Hi Kentucky!! This is Chessington in the UK
Good video Diane! Thanks for raising awareness of this silliness!
Thank you so much. It's nuts isn't it? When they start putting this tech in other things ... That will be the turning point!
Saving the best for last! What a great name for a child.
Citimotors 🥰😄
Thanks Diane! This was splendid (I wrote splendid and instead it originally came out as Applebee's 🤔). I love all of the accents that you did; you are very tallented, imaginative, and funny! ❤️
Thank you so much!
Thank you as well for the super thanks 👍😃 I appreciate you
It's very hard to not loose faith in the system when it's completely stacked against the majority of people . I've tried to just give up the fight trying to bring the majority together to save our collective living standards but my Irish warriors DNA never gives up a fight . Your smart , funny, families first caring lady thank you for posting all the great videos on your channel
Thank you so much!! If we all collectively become a little more aware, I think that's a good thing.
Thank you Diane for another fun fun fun video Extra credit for brilliant writing and editing
Thank you so much!! I'm so happy you enjoy what I create :D
Please share it to people who you think would enjoy it
Just wait until it gets hacked.... that's when the fun begins.
And it might not just be repossessed ones...
@@DianeSpencercomedian Exactly. What better way to get even with an ex than just shut their car off at random? Or turn on the heated seats in the summer? The only limit is your imagination.
The scary thing is that's even possible today with most newer cars.
(Any car where the infotainment is connected to the cars "vital" ecu's)
Hillarious funny. Love your different carachters. Especially the Americans.
Ah thank you! Been working on that since a disastrous attempt in the mosquito video 😁😁
Very funny Diane, thanks. And thanks for a great set this evening - hilarious! 🤣
Thank you so much Keith!
There's something incredibly dystopian about the idea of designing a machine that can be commanded to scrap itself
Weird isn't it. Self aware long enough to end it's life. Makes me shudder!
Well done. Always a pleasure when you pop up in my queue. I don't know about big car companies - but 'buy here, pay here' car lots have been using remote lock out switches for years - their clients are the folks that couldn't afford new cars and are the most likely to default on loans - but no one cared much until it becomes an issue for the more affluent - I'm on the fence - they got a right to repossess - but I wouldn't buy one to start
Yeah, I hear you. Thanks for watching my video 😊
❤absolutely brilliant keep being my favorite comedian
Thank you so so much
The best, love the lady.
Thank you so much for watching my creations!
@DianeSpencercomedian I watch all your videos and all are brilliant 🫡👏👏👏
Superb as always Diane 🤣👌👏👏
Thank you so much! I'm very happy you enjoyed it and thank you for writing to me :)
Great video Diane. Abit worrying as the world is now crazy enough for this to happen. Some fore shadowing here for sure, I can completely see my cooker/TV not working IF the payments stop.😅
Don't pay... They'll switch it off remotely!?
That was hilariously great fun
Thank you so much Walter! I appreciate you watching it and writing to me :D
I love you 🤟 you could easily do ASMR on crime & loopholes whilst we sleep 😆
Amazing, thanks Waynesworld - ASMR on crime?! That's an interesting one.
Everyone, calm down. There are no bugs in this software, and the repo system itself never makes mistakes.
Oh, and I got a bridge in Brooklyn for ya.
Yeah, gremlins don't exist ... 😬
1:09 *5,76 vehicles repossessed every minute, not every second.
Dang! Ta :)
You're great.
Thank you so much David, I'm so happy you like the things I make :D
Great vid Diane. You raise sone very good points.
Imagine you're at the beach with the fam and once you struggled with all the chairs, bin bags, toys and bunch of very sunburnt kids, back to the car park, you get to watch your car disappear into the sunset.
Or
you jump out to have a quick pee and you're left wearing f all as your car buggers off with your jumper, coat, phone and wallet, while your in the middle of no where ( that's why you stop to pee there in the first place).
Its gonna be a real thing but tricky to pull off with out legal issues..
YES!!! This is my argument, and what if the person at the bank just has an off day... ?!
@@DianeSpencercomedian oh dont't be silly Diane, by the time this gets implemented the banks wont employ anyone anyway. It will an AI bot that will reproces you car back into the bank collective..... Resistance is futile.
🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Diane
Thank you ever so much! I'm very happy you enjoyed it :)
I love it, so funny. Everytime I think about that "really annoying sound" I have to smile.
You rock🤗
I suspect that a few pieces of duct tape across the cameras would defeat the self-driving mechanism...
Now this... is a wonderful low tech solution which I love.
Just tell the car that the car company's CEO misgendered someone on social media and it will discard any instruction to self-repossess itself.
Lol! 🤦🏻♀️😄
Herbie and Christine 😂
Thank you
Remember when the ad in Robocop 2 was satire...
Robocop 2 is an epic and I always loved those ads! Sunblock 5000, just apply a pint to your body...
Brilliant video
Thank you!
Begin repo trip while in garage.
the cameras will stop you! Or they will attach a battering ram...
Cars that repo themselves. Take that you poors! I like this cyberpunk dystopia. I'm going to wear unnecessary sunglasses and listen to synthwave
YESSSSSS.... this is an excellent plan
I am fully with you on that topic (again). Even though i only ever bought used cars, and always only bought a car when i had saved the amount it would cost, i doubt that system would be really deactivated after the car was paid for.
One thing i think that would start to grow in numbeers are the small car plugable illegal GNSS jammers (GNSS for those unfamiliar with the term: is the over all term for satellite navigation systems as there are more than just the US sponsored GPS).
If the car doesn't know where it is, it can't drive to a position it can't find. (sure you can't use the sat nav yourself, but i bet people in question will think it worth it)
Those devices are already a thing for truckers to avoid position monitoring by their parent companies. And they fu$% up things, they aren't even aware of, by jamming these signals.
Well this is insightful!! I did not realise you could already get satellite jammers!
@@DianeSpencercomedian Well, you don't jame the sattelite itself. Its that the signal that a GPS receiver on the ground receives is so minimal, that a small device can easily bring up enough power to jam every receiver in a few km radios around the jammer.
If you are interested in the topic, there is something scarier than jamming: spoofing. That's where the person intereferring with your sateliite signal doesn't just transmitt garbage so you don't receive anything, but changes the signal from the satellite and transmitts it (with a little more power than the signal from the satellite) and your receiver will think you are somewhere else.
Militaries and hackers all around the world experiment and work with that already.
(There have been accidents of war ships colliding because they both thought to be somewhere else according to their GPS.)
Imagine how quickly they would stop making them if nobody bought them?
Not sure if you'll get a choice 🤷♀️
That's the whole problem, this will quick be an industry standard if one manufacturer has it and if you want to by a car, it will have it. (they will be pressured by banks)
There won't be a choice.
@@nirfz the choice is to refuse to buy a new car with those features installed- used cars can be bought, repaired, and upgraded with various new features -- and people can do without bells and whistles to take a stance.
Now,, IF people think they have no choice and buy these modified cars - then the companies will be incentivized to keep making them - which could lead to a situation where it becomes common and there is no other option for new cars - but IF people refuse to buy them when they start coming out - they will quit making them.
@@DwayneShaw1 Sure, but that depends on local legislation. If for example new emission laws get passed and they decide that anything older than a few years isn't allowed anymore we are f$%& when all new cars have that "feature".
just look at assistant systems like "lane keeping assists", "colission prevention"... You don't get any new car without it anymore because the crash test authorities everywhere decided to value them in their overall rating (even though they do not change anything in the crash behavior of the car)
And with both, (lane and colission prevention assists) i (and many other people i know) have had quite bad experiences that even were pretty dangerous and would not have happened if they weren't on board.
Tie the thing to the house..
That's funny !!!
then I'll lose my wall!!
@@DianeSpencercomedian well young lady, instead of you galavanting all over town in your new car, when in fact you should be saving your money and making your car payments, hhmm! I sure hope your home doesn't have wheels, you'll loose more than just a wall, that'll be the morning news.. 😂
sadly phone company's do that when miss payment they turn it off and some company's even brick the phone so cant even use Wi-Fi anymore , heck metro even charges you twice if you try pay bill early or change your due date so no longer early ether.
Turn off your filters??
Make sure your car is low on fuel or battery range...🤣
Yes!! Play the system!
@@DianeSpencercomedian or a garage with gloss white floor, walls and ceiling?
Does that help? You are outside the car when you "unplug" the juice and you are outside the car when you close the fuel filler cap. Only difference is you can watch your car drive off from the rear corner of your car...
@@nirfz I meant the car wouldn't get very far on low fuel or battery thus adding hassle to the repo job
@@georgegillett6059 Well, it only needs to wait until you filled up enough to make the drive "home". And on the other hand, it only needs to get somewhere, where it takes you longer to find it, than a person working for them who gets the Position.
Are you going to run after it and keep up for 10km (6.5 miles)?
If you only keep it that low on fuel, you basically can't use it yourself and have reached what they aimed for.
Ford should rename this system 'Jackpot!' Carjackers will hack the system, and cars will jack themselves! You can use this gag for free, Red.
I wasn't expecting an invoice 😁
@@DianeSpencercomedian I gave you Dodo McDodoface too. My generosity astounds me.
Diane you are beautiful and better than reasing the news.
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoy my writing and production!
The american accent is getting better every video. Well done 🎉
Question though: Did Amber use the cockney accent? As a german listener I am trying to learn the difference between the british accent (Lord, you have so many😅).
The video however sounded like a bad idea for a Maximum Overdrive remake.
This almost naive trust in AI is simply concerning 😑
Thanks for your time and content and the best of wishes Mr. and Mrs. Sheppard, hope they are doing well as well ❤
Thank you! Amber was a south London accent, more towards Kent really. I don't think it was actually cockney...!
@@DianeSpencercomedian Argh🤣🤣🤣 Well worth a try
so if you dont pay your car plays lady gaga untill you die
For me it would be Neyo...
I bought the house I live in 20.5 years ago. Before that it was a rental house for about 10 years. A few months ago I started getting notices from Hundai finance for some guy I have never heard of saying he is late on his car payment. The first couple of months I was then getting notices that the payment had been received. The guy is going to one of those payday loan places where you can wire money w/o having a bank account. He was waiting until the last possible moment each month to make the payment on his new car. The latest mail I got for him is from the state saying that his drivers license is being revoked because he owes over $9,000 in child support. Seeing as he doesn't pay his child support and doesn't have a bank account so the state can't take money from any accounts, I fully expect his next step will be to stop making payments on his new car, because why wouldn't he? Clearly he thinks that using an old address and not having a bank account makes him invisible and untraceable. I don't know if his Hundai Sonata has built-in GPS but I would assume so, so it shouldn't be hard to find. But I still won't be completely surprised if someone knocks on my door asking where I have their Hundai Sonata parked in the coming months.....
Sounds scary somehow to me. No idea what they could try to get the money from the place they think he lives but imgaination goes wild...
Once had a slightly similar experience in a flat i rented. Letters from the electricity supplier to the previous renter appeard (I also had never seen this guy). The first ones i crossed the adress and write "has moved" and put it into a mailbox. The 3rd or 4th i looked into, and they warned about the payments he owed them.
I thought about the situation and i wanted to avoid that they turn off electricity for the adress they thought he lived. (I didn't want to risk to find out if they would be aware that there was someone registered under that addres paying elctricity bills and so not turning it off)
So i contacted them about the situation. They replied in a friendly way and stopped sending the letters and added the info that he had moved to the data they had about him.
Yeah, it happens to everyone, you're not alone, but that situation is quite extreme! I kept getting phone calls to my mobile asking for a certain woman who clearly owed money, and each time I said nope she doesn't live here. It's worth setting it straight with them ASAP.
I am thinking I would prefer the old tech of trunk monkey. Did you see those adverts?
The Trunk Monkey?? Sounds quite rude XD
And that is how SkyNet was born... 😀 Though if the car can do that, maybe they should just have the car earn the money for the owner by driving itself as an Uber or Lyft and earn money in a night or graveyard shift. An icon on the dash or monitor turns like an Autobot emblem to a Decepticon emblem. Hackers will NEVER learn how to turn that against you. Why bother stealing the vehicles if you can just program them to leave their owners and drive to you? "Fast and Furious" would be a different movie with no drivers... Oh, and the banks are not exactly the most secure entities these days. I guess you can hold your car hostage if you refuse to plug it in, or give it gas...until you are ready to use it... and then it can't leave you. 😁
That is a great idea - the car can make you extra money as an Uber, while you're asleep!!! That's BRILLIANT!!
Princess Di, I didn't see you on telly at the coronation yesterday. Is it really legal for them to do that? I guess you were busy working on this. Time better spent, I suppose.
Hi Anzan,
Yes, I was at home eating biscuits and occasionally tuning in to see if the man was wearing his special hat. I made peanut butter and chocolate chip fudge
Hi Diane will it be a kitt or a Christine repossession turbo boost or vehicular manslaughter?.
No idea... anything is possible!
It's a bit of a dystopic idea, isn't it? I mean, part of me gets it, kinda, but the other, older, 'having been around in the 80s and wathcing movies' part of me instantly thinks about lethal anti-theft meassures from Robocop and so on. Also, I highly doubt that any system that involves button-pushers anywhere will not be abused at least once. That bank person WILL make the car of their ex repossess itself for sure!
Man, this should be a genre of movies and literature. Sooo many possibilities (that will become more and more horrifying, making the books turn into thrillers, the more this technology is implemented ...)
You and I are on the same wavelength here. The people in the bank make errors!!! REALLY bad errors. Recently here in the UK a 91 year old woman was marked as dead by her bank AS she was on the phone to them, and they closed her account....
And, let me guess, it was an indescribable hassle to get her account activated again, because suddenly bureaucracy demanded to have five dozen people to jump through a hundred hoops each to really make sure she actually, definitely, demonstrably, no-cap wasn't dead?
That's about how this would go down in Germany. One official can decide to just push a button, but can stall almost indefinitely against having their decision reversed.
But we can toootally trust our institutions (with their petty, small-minded, vindictive - or in other words human - staffers). Suuure ...

🤣🤣🤦🏻♀️
Queue people putting a boot on their own car to prevent it from being repossessed.
A boot?
@@DianeSpencercomedian A clunky metal immobilization device that gets attached to the wheel so you can't drive away. Usually because you've gotten too many parking tickets. I guess they must call it something different over there.

What genre of gamer are you?. It would be hard to do but bringing your gaming world into the comedy would be a way to broaden you income areas. Increase stream viewers and gain a hell of a lot of gamer sub's both to yoye comedy and streaming platforms. Worth a think?

I don't like the premise of the invention, but for accuracy, the patent has not been granted. It's received a final rejection in the US, although it can be appealed.
Really? In the news I read, which came from a couple of sources, it said that they had been granted the patent?

Don't get a high Tech Car with all the Gadgets then ! simples
Simples! But what if... they ALWAYS put it in cars going forward.... the future is full of transformers!
You failed at math... 2.2M per year = 6027.39 per day = 251.14 per hour = 4.18 per minute = 0.6976 per second...
Did I fail at math... or did the website I got my facts from fail at math? Or a little bit of column A and a little bit of column Q??
Excellent caricatures! However, the patents are some of the more egregious failures of control-freak late-stage capitalists.
Everyone wants to make a buck, but this seems to overstep the mark.
@@DianeSpencercomedian Very much oversteps the mark. Our society has power differentials, and it is going to have power differentials - but the more powerful are not supposed to be so freaking obvious (and obnoxious) about being more powerful. To vastly understate the case, it is rude.
So no way that will get linked to your social credit score and 15 minute cities. Interestingly Princess Di was in one of the first cars that could be remotely accessed and controlled. I think it's fair to say, she wasn't a fan.

@@nirfz prototype. Not the shop model. Not like they didn't mass release the technology after to ”avoid moose jumping into the road" or whatever.
@@alexdesuys5712 That sounds to me like you misinterprate ESC with remote access or remote control. Two very different things.
ESC had no way of being influenced by an external source back then. There was no connection to any possible way of remote access with the ecu for ESC.
And even ESC doesn't avoid moose jumping into the road. It only avoids (as far as physically possible) that the car does not go where the steering wheel points.
