I've found the James Bond clip featuring this boat! czcams.com/video/6IwWd44kvyA/video.html
Excellent clip- he head butts the terrorist in the series 2 Landrover as well.
And the tenders on deck.
Hello. Mr Nick I hope you are Not heading for World domination. with the Bond Yacht . Brilliant Video Nick Big Thanks keep going. 👍👍👍🚤⛵
Absolutely fantastic. I liked Timothy Dalton as bond
FANTASTIC!!
This boat just oozes class. The curved stern, the beautiful woodwork, the classic styling, and those lines. I’d take this over any modern superyacht seven days a week and twice on Sundays!
I have been working on this beautiful vessel more than 30 years ago. She was beautiful then and stunning now. So many happy memories on her. We even went all the way to Singapore that was quite a trip on those days.
This boat is better & more glamorous than some of the £60-80 million boats
These older boats seem to me to be a lot more comfortable and homely than the newer ones, which are just too blingy and flash for their own good. Not everyone's got the same interior design taste as a Russian oligarch.
Yeah, I like the modern amenities but love the classic designs. I will admit I like the matte finish more than I would the gloss, that's a great change.
I think another part of it is that modern boats try to maximize the use of space too much. I find myself wondering when wasted space will come back into style.
The modern rich person has no class
Old boats looked like boats, modern ones are something different. They have many things but not that touch of an old boat.
Pearl does a great job of designing interiors that look spectacular without trying to make them look like the Taj mahal.
You’ve described my feelings perfectly. I find too many of the newer yachts are so gaudy and lack class and panache.
Now this is value for money. Worth every penny. I love this boat.
That's a lot of yacht for the money. I would live to see her in person. Beautifully made. Thank you Nick
You are very welcome 🙂
You’d have to be alive to be able to see it in person so, “live” on my Friend (just teasing)
How much do I Love this boat? Every tail, from the stern cockpit to the cocktail server to the guest accommodation. Everything has character and style in the bucketloads. Bravo Nick!!!!
Glad you liked it! 🙂
Flatting the woodwork back to satin makes a huge difference - lots of boats could benefit from the same idea. A real passengers' eye view from this tour!
Agreed...i detest gloss wood in any colour.
@@masaiwhite5933 it has its place but on a weekend boat to impress guests, not for a journey focused yacht like this
The oiled finish is far superior for the interior yes. Gloss is for doors and the external brightwork.
Wow~! This is precisely the reason I prefer older boats and its interiors. Spacious guest cabins, great crew quarters and a fabulous master bedroom. The outdoor spaces are wonderful too. Thank you for this unique experience Nick~! :)
Our pleasure!
This is more spacious than my house
The name's Burnham, Nick Burnham......
Now THAT is a super yacht, steel, wood and leather. A real classic, classy and stylish 50 year plus oldie but goldie. And yes I am talking about the yacht 😂
Dammit! 😄
She is ideal... everything is perfect 👍
Class never ages Nick.. what a magnificent vessel. Thank you for showing her to us...
You're welcome! 🙂
The Living Daylights! Right Bond wrong film!!!! Excellent opening sequence!!!! Great yacht great tour! Simply gorgeous! Have a great week one and all
Pretty sure it was The Living Daylights..?
@@AQUAHOLIC it was The Living Daylights I didn’t write my comment clearly sorry. My previous entry stated before your reveal and I thought it was License to Kill hence above I’d further commented that it was the right Bond but wrong film. Definitely The Living Daylights
@@gervers Aaah, gotcha, thanks! Phew. 😄
16:09 Wow, a lot of paint in that engine room, even the clips on the brackets. Reminds me of what they used to say in the Navy: If it moves, salute it. If it doesn't move, paint it.
Incredible value at 2.3 million...sheer class. I couldn't help noticing the VIP berths had bidets but the Master Stateroom didn't! What a stunning boat. Totally loved the tour.
Omg the yacht from my favourite Bond movie, I never wanted a couple of million euros more than I do now.
What I found the coolest thing about the boat was I did not see even one TV screen but instead I saw books in almost every room....................now thats retro .
That's a massive boat for the money - absolutely love it. Thanks for sharing, Nick.
No worries!
This is going to sound bonkers but.... What fantastic value for money! What a beautiful boat.
My all time favourite, thanks for showing this beautiful boat.
Character, provenance and heaploads of soul in these older hulls ... you gotta love them 🙂
Totally agree. 🙂
The Turkish seem to have a monopoly on building stylish classics, I have seen quite a few of the boats coming out of that country now and have been highly impressed. They produce some of the most beautiful yachts I have seen, none of the modern stuff just a seres of ships that give a nod to the past with beautiful interiors and lines with impeccable taste and style. Some of the new ones I have seen capture a bygone era but incorporating all the modern amenities and gadgets, the aesthetics and decor is timeless.
Truly beautiful.
What a fabulous motor yacht. Alot of bang for your buck or €
Wow, Nick...just wow! It seems as if every stateroom on board this beast is a "VIP" Stateroom. What a really classic vessel. Plenty of crew space..etc.
"Fantastic" is an understatement.
Thanks so much Nick.
My pleasure! 🙂
Absolutely Beautiful Super Yacht it Looks More expensive than the 2.4 milion and BRILLIANT VIDEO FROM NICK BIG THANKS FOR YOUR HARD WORK 👍👍👍👍🚤🚤⛵
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
@@AQUAHOLIC 100 % as Always 👍👍👍
I'd buy this yacht in a heartbeat over a "modern" one. It simply has a style and charm that isn't found anymore, and the 007 provenance is icing on the cake. Thanks for the tour!
We've been expecting you Mr Burnham!
The man-hours and skill required to just flatten the gloss finish of all that mahogany alone is astounding.
I think that's the best value motor yacht you've shown us so far. I particularly liked the captain's cabin being convenient to the bridge, but at the same time secluded from it so he's not living and sleeping at his work station, and also reflecting his status as master of the vessel, so that he's not just lumped in with the crew. A lovely, roomy vessel that's opulent without appearing so over-the-top palatial as to be intimidating...
They made a fantastic choice removing the gloss from the woodwork. Keep it original but not disco! Great tour! Thanks!
Have to say that I prefer the original gloss look, personal choice of course!
A new classic phrase was born: "that one.... is the day heads".
That is a lot of boat for US$2.5M!! A lot of beauty / style / layout... a lot of exceptional storage and layout of guest and owner cabins; absolutely love the "old" ways of providing such excellent storage in guest cabins! (...the same goes for older motor coach / motor home designs as well...) This MY is absolutely exceptional in every.single.way -- bar none! I truly think that something has been lost in the design and layout of modern MY's, IMHO... Great tour of this magnificent vessel, thank you for your work and all the other's that made this tour possible... one of the best MY's on your channel, IMHO... Thank you, again. 👍💯
What a boat. You’ve completely sent me into a daydream of loading up with supplies, friends and family and heading off for a few months around the Med. Fantastic video Nick. Keep up the good work!!
Or down to the Caribbean.
Great video Nick.
And a great yacht to.
I would choose this one instead of these oversmarts yachts. 😄 Thanks fore showing this gentleman yacht
Our pleasure!
Had to rewatch James Bond just to see this yacht :)
Now that's the kind of yacht I would want. Classic and yet still mondern, and beautiful!
Now she is a real timeless classic that will never age, what a beautiful small ship.
Brilliant and enthusiastic tour of a wonderful yacht.
She doesn’t look dated, just a pure classic. Absolutely wonderful!
Thank you for bringing her to the channel.
You're very welcome 🙂
One of the nicest layouts I've seen on a boat. Just gorgeous!
That has to be the bargain of the century👍🏻❤️
Fabulous film history, I think we will all be looking for the clip next. Also amazing MY a true feeling of luxury. Thank you 006
I've found and pinned it to the top of the comments! 😃
What a beautiful ship!
what a wonderful boat packed with character
What a warm inviting boat. So tastefully done.
Wasn't plastered with 100 inch T.V.
on every wall. Pulling into a port it doesn't reek with. Hay everybody look at me.
there is something about these older yachts that is really appealing....more expensive to operate, no question, but the live aboard experience is so much more refined. The classic yachts are definitely the best...
Such an elegant boat
This boat is almost as old as me and fairing better than me 😂😂😂. Marvellous as always Nick
This boat screams quality. And beauty., If I had this yacht, I would never leave it. I would spend the rest of my life just cruising around the world.
Sitting on my exercise bike LOL’g @ “I’m so glad she locked that door” 🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and that one is a day head. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm really glad she locked that door. Too funny.
The day heads moment could have been worse. - the lady could have come out and said “you might want to leave it a minute!”😂
Classic lady indeed. I like it Nick. Thanks👌🇨🇦👍
Pure Nautical Elegance.
What a great looking yacht
Absolutely a beautiful boat, crafted to perfection.
No Nick...the third engine you saw is a standby engine in case of main engines failure offshore. It is a totally independent system with its own sealed gas tank. From the year 2016 they also use it as an auxiliary generator. Hugs from Colombia
Simply stunning and, dare I say, a snip at 2.35m euros - incredible value considering the provenance. Beautiully refitted, definitely someones labour of love. Thanks Nick.
I was on the 1985 refit in Cap d'Ail for about 3 months with a bunch of other guys (it was Moonmaiden II then). Great fun and great people to work with. Skipper then was an British ex-submariner called Bud and he was a proper bloke. Spent the night of my 21st birthday passed out on the floor of the main salon. Evenings spent at the English-owned Mondiale bar run by Roy. Fantastic memories and I think we did a good job... Took about 200 tins of filler for the hull to make it look good! RIP Stuart Sharman, Chief Engineer.
Gi nic just watched this film I must say what a beautiful yacht ...if only.....
Beautiful yacht and another great video nick 🛥🚤⛵️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍👍👍👍
Many thanks!
Hold it - is this a sales promotion? Buy this boat and Nick will pay a surprise visit to the Day Heads.
Well, if two and a half million is all it takes to meet Nick - I'm starting a fund raising campaign. Jokes aside - this is an unbelievably rich, comfortable yacht. The folks involved in the boats preservation, restoration and ongoing care are to be commended. And Thank you Nick for the tour.
I’m once again left astounded by(yes, the mahogany!) how much larger boats are from the inside than they appear from out 😱! I can only imagine what that was like back in the day when large, personal yachts weren’t nearly as prevalent as they are today. Excellent as always, Sir Nick 👍⚓️😀
Video really does not do justice to big boats. An 80' yacht in person looks like what a 120' yacht looks like on video.
I agree the wood is beautiful. Especially since they removed the high gloss finish and made it the matt or satin finish.
Re watching Nick, as I indicated previously, this is what a yacht should be. This yacht demonstrates class.
i like the interior design on this one.
After another superb tour I immediately took a look at the intro of The living daylights ….
One word - Elegant!
To my mind, that is a proper yacht.
What an absolute beautiful classic piece of art
How utterly delicious. My idea of a super yacht. Bond alighting on the back. British bathrooms and a wonderful teal deck atop. Perfection right there!!❤
Beauty of a yacht there! Surprised you did not say when at the bar, "Shaken not stirred.." 👍👍🤣🤣😂😂
The boat being in a James Bond production adds to it's appeal or might be the selling point of the boat it's such an amazing splendid boat.
We’re on here!
Now, this is more of a PROPER yacht that I grew up desiring. 2 thumbs 👍 way up 👍.
Well, the first time we’ve seen Nick “Shaken and Stirred”, not recognising the old generator, otherwise another great tour, just the boat for a long leisurely cruise around the Med.
I think he was shaken more after day heads visit 😁😁
The classic yachts are really beautiful.
What a magnificent yacht.
Thanks Nick. Another great fantasy. ❤
That is a beautiful beautiful yacht, a classic stylish layout. They go for maximum layout on the modern boats, but this is amazing. Can easily imagine family on board sitting in the bay of St Tropez looking at the modern monstrosities and saying "Yup, this is class"
Shows you can get a massive yacht for a decent price if you buy 2nd hand and refurbished - nice!
Understandably giddy. That boat is gorgeous! I’m in love!
Oh I love this. A wonderful meld of past and present it’s great to see how a classic can be made modern again, but not ruining the roots of what it was; they have managed to refit it very well. Superb tour thanks Nick!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I LOVE these old superyachts with lots of wooden panels. That salon, especially, reminds me of the interiors of old ocean liners, a la RMS Mauretania, if you will. Lovely boat and great tour.
This became my boat of the year! It's absolutely gorgeous from bow to stern! The older yachts just exude quality!
Great video great boat nick
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
It is not me, it is my wife who stop me from buying this beautiful old Lady.
What a classic bow tie ship.
You make me laughing wen you dit not recognize the old school generator.
That is Technik from my generation
:)
Thanks for the wonderful tour Nick..
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
amazing..so comfortable...filled with a kind of grace if that's possible.
That review was dare I say....'BRILLIANT' 😉
Thank you! 😃
Hi Nick, And thank you for this Classic on Superyacht Sunday what a beautiful boat this is with all that woodwork out and inside this yacht great starting from the cockpit where Maggie enjoy the view four cabins below all ensuite with a old fashion water flush toilet and great crew spaces the nice bridgedeck and sundeck what a space there i love the cozy bench at the end of that deck great the big engine room with 2 Deutz enigines that you see not every day Thanks again Nick that a great Classic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Maggie was very at home there! 😄
They knew how to do fabulous yachts in those days. The Retrofit and Update are brilliant.
Speechless! What a ship. You can't call this steel hulled beast anything else. They kept just enough of the originality. We're so used to bathing platform/beach club yachts that this classic canoe style stern always looks so dated but this one is so vast and beautifully appointed it's magnificent. The upper deck...you could play a full court basketball game on it. It's so huge I'm sure you could retrofit it with a helipad. The seating at the rear is wonderful. Luxury, bulletproof muscle. This will never go out of style. Thank you so much for the tour. One of your best!
Best boat you´ve reviewed by a country mile, classic always trumps modern stuff THX
What a great yacht. Stunning style and lovely wood. Funny with the lady in the day heads, you really scared “The Living Daylights” out of her 🤣. You could tell how thrilled you were to be onboard this yacht and to do a complete tour. Thank you so much for showing us this one Nick 😊
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Its somehow much more human sized and comfy than the modern yacht styling - a bit like the Hakvoort Sagamar you previously showed.
I took this lovely yacht on her 22nd and last transatlantic voyage from Toulon to St Martin and back during the winter of 2007/8.she must be the only yacht perhaps to have done all her crossings on her own back.l clocked up over 10.000 nm in five months.a truly fine ocean going yacht, and hats off to the present owner for a remarkable refit.
Awesome! 🙂
That's a proper little ship. Love it :)
Old is gold 🥰 Thanks for sharing 🙏🏿🇧🇭
