I learned to drive on a 68 Camero in 1970. This gorgeous Nova could bring me to tears 😳😳. It’s stunning.
Love the Nova, and those chevy rally wheels are my all-time favorite looking wheel.
Cool two parter! Having lunch, bringing in family members easy money jobs for this day! Best part, no injuries, no blood loss!
Thanks for the "special......A Day In The Life Of S.M.A., Starring Eric O."
As frustrating some days can be, I am glad you have an understanding family and a busy shop! Thanks for being there for all those who are interested and those of us who finally retired from fixing others problems! Dual Master ASE Auto/Diesel Certified 25 years!
Gorgeous 1970 Nova Wow Eric O love the Green @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC
Real family man you are. Total class act, and teaching the kids toyota is the way to go. What a father.
Good Troubleshooting Technique. I find this very entertaining because I was a Electrical troubleshooter With GM for 48 years. (ELECTRICIAN). I have had many GM vehicles over the years. And they were all very good cars, because I did my own maintenance.
Ah yes body by fisher. My home town of Muskegon Michigan. Proud heritage.
One can so tell you guys are a loving pair Bless you all.
The chevy nova .... beautiful. Incredible condition.
This is the best reality TV show.....EVAR!!!!
Nothing like helping Dad out in the shop! Kind of reminds me of myself, ummm....40 years ago. Keep up the good work Hannah!
Hannah is not Eric's daughter. Just a shop assistant in the summer and after school.
Typical day at my shop too a few evap code i live in vegas really hot right now so thats something normal here. A/C jobs repair. Niceee video
Just love these 1hour long videos.. Thumbs up
Great troubleshooting Eric ! You make it look so easy.... really enjoy your videos and appreciate your sense of humor... NEAR...... FAR..... NEAR..... FAR..... 🤣🤣
Poop & laughter and describing old junky cars as toilets was awesome. I also liked the "Toyota" comment from your boy. My boys and daughters better answer Toyota as I have 4 of them.
Geez...I'm seriously hooked on this channel. I've totally been going through every video slowly. Well done Eric O...
Thanks!
I’m so sorry for you buddy, I really am. He’s got over 1100 videos……took me about a month to get through ha ha ha . I actually forget how I found Eric but from the first video got hooked. I’m a car guy so am subscribed to numerous channels. After watching Eric and Mrs. O, Sheba , Chloe and the cat just about lost interest in the other channels….such a sucker for a good video ha ha ha
Welcome to the club! I just found the channel a few months ago, and I've been binging ever since. Got about 8 years' worth of videos left to go.
Big thanks MR O, for the videos cheeeerss.
That is one badass Nova. I love those cars.
LOL "she's got a little cam in her"!!!!
Learned a couple of keepers in this 2 part video. 1. Start with a complete visual inspection. 2. You can never have too much ice cream. 3. Don't underestimate the value of a good test light. 4. Always check for grounds when things look wonky.
Another excellent video!
On the red '03' Ford, no start, no crank... "Stevie Wonder could have fixed this one"... Priceless!.. Eric, your awesome!.. Just goes to show, symptoms that seem like they're going to be so complex, turn out to be so simple. Customer was probably expecting lots of $$$ out of her pocket.
Please never stop making these videos.
I enjoy watching SMA more than any TV network show. This is educational fun to watch. Another great video, thank you Eric
Sweet Nova!
The Grover impersonation was spot on too.
we have great day with you Eric o thanks
I like how you are giving your helper, Hannah, some air time. Its refreshing to see a girl in a mechanics shop especially when they wanna learn by mentorship. I hope to see more of her helping you on camera through your many diagnostic events. lol
I am rewatching this years later, and that lunch still looks good. I have to get a snack now.
Videos just keep getting better
Lolol "First things first, Hannah! Get me the Load-Pro".... Hannah stares in utter confusion....
The one thing that never breaks on a Ford. That damn seatbelt alarm!
Lmao.. very true
OMG, that Nova! That was my dream car when I was a kid.
still my dreamcar
These are the kind of videos I like to see especially with the car issues that Eric O. videos to diagnose. These are the exact kind of electrical issues that when I come across them, want to know where to start looking in my own vehicles. Eric lists out the troubleshooting steps as simple as he can and always with good humor. I like how he keeps his language practically "church" clean in his video -ie we know what he is saying when he says "what the thunder fumble is going on here" type phrases Lol. A big thumbs up from this ameture home mechanic.
SMA Classic line, ”it would be a good tool, if the scope didn’t suck so much!”. Haha
I can remember cruising around in an old 70’s Nova in the late 1970’s.
" Body by Fisher, I knew a few girls like that" 😂😂😂
thanks for bringing me down memory lane with Grover.😃
Smart, got women who love him and a great sense od humor. What a refreshing spot on da tube.
I really am entertained by your initial trouble shooting and discoveries of bad mechanic short cut work.
Enjoyed spending the day with y'all.
"Did you keep the people entertained Hannah?" "Oh, yeah!", LOL
Ive discover a gem watching your videos.... makes me miss my days wrenching.....
Awesome diagnostic demonstration with the test light.......two thumbs up!
Thanks!
Hey Eric, I think you found your Niche in life. Impersonating GROVER. That NEAR ! and FAR thing just about made me wet my pants, still laughing.
Haha glad you liked it :)
finally you get a real classic in your shop...
Nice Nova
I had that same color 72 SS Nova purchased new in March of 1972. Factory ordered it. It was the 3rd car I owned when I was still in high school.
I hope that you know that Hanna loves her father, you can see it in her eyes and in her smile big time!
this her uncle tho

Eric Is Her Father...
I really enjoy these "Day at the Shop" videos. Good Stuff.
Good Call On Da Ford Focus.
I am so glad i found these videos of Mrs. O fixing her car. I have enjoyed them. Great job.
Oh my god, the Grover thing almost had me spewing coffee on my desk.
Thank you for the video, get well soon Trinity. So sweet lovely Hannah helping you out, you need assistant like her, train her from young, as your work load grow. Big Hello to everyone.
Great find, I've always repaired my own cars, never been to a repair shop and I'm 70 years old. I would have chased my tail on that one. Just to simple. I usually take the long way around and find that 4 hours later. Great videos by the way, I'm addicted to your channel now.
Nice going on that Focus brother! You nailed it very quickly!!
the Grover bit had me cracking up. Thanks Eric!!!!
Good one Eric!
I can't get enough of those! Thanks
"Scope-On-A-Rope" Gotta love it. :-) Helps me with my '65 Falcon.
thanks for letting us in ............
I don't even have TV channels at home. This will do just fine :-)
Same here!
I have tv but I still watch this .. what a nice family business
Same
Ditched cable 5 years, waste of money with so many better options
Bit late to this but me neither. I own my own engineering shop, my partner does the fabrication and I do the machining.
I've learned such a lot from the people who share on CZcams since I don't watch TV any more 😊
Nice quick determination! That is where experience pays off !
I love your interactions with Hannah. Almost every video you do makes me laugh... Grover... lmfao.
NEAR ..FAR....NEAR FAR.....OMG THAT WAS FUNNY!!!!!!
GROVER :)
Eric T That and the Lite Brite bit had me rolling.
He always makes me LMAO. Great since of humor. Makes me feel old doing that Grover impersonator.
Love the series Eric but that 2003 Ford with a bad body ground was epic. A ground wire installed with a roofing screw, rubber insulator and all. Got to love it! And the fix was better than factory. "Scope on a rope" will forever be burned into my mind and you have made me realize it's a powerful tool, but is there a place for a power probe type tool?
D, Your wife is a gem. Granted you are a master mechanic.
I like the "If it ain't red, keep it in the shed!" International Harvester sign as I grew up with IH on the farm with my Dad.
I'm actually really like this mini series!
Yes more please
Mitchell Forster n5
lol @ hanna's face during the grover bit
and that tin roof screw with a rubber washer...facepalm
I'd love that 2.3 out of that focus..quick little engine.
Comeon Eric, We wanted to go for a ride in the Nova!!!!!
Haha me too!
Your boy has exceptional taste in cars!
That's one smart kid.
I just love hanging out on SMA. Its always a hoot!
All that trouble at first, reminded me of what they called a shunt in the starter on my motorcycle, an abnormal electrical path cause by some kind of junk in the starter.
Solid 8hrs of watching your video's today, it's -6 and snowing today, the goal was to work on an 05 dakota I picked up cheap but with the crappy weather and an awesome teacher on here I was hooked all day, thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge with everyone South Main Auto Repair!!
I’ve seen enough “people of Walmart” footage to cringe for an entire army. But from how you make it sound Eric, the people of the Steuben County Fair must be a total fright fest!
On another note, I love how you and Mrs. O interact. You two are definitely a perfect match made in...well.... an auto shop.
The near - far bit. I was just thinking about that when suddenly...LOL!
Love that nova !
Thumbs for that Scooby impression :)!
"What in the thunder is going on with this toilet?" LOL
If Grover can do it, you can do! I cracked up when I saw that.
SWEET! The Nova brings back some great memories. Graduation presents and party cars.
My truck came with those same Scooby Doo floor mats!
That was a really good shaggy impression 😂
Like zoiks scoob!
Cool tour and a repair ! All that is missing is some ice cram...darn I have no ice cream..
Oh man you must get some!
I love Nova's. Had quit a few. That car must fly. What a ride.
I have got to say man, your channel has quickly become one of my favorites! I'm an IT professional by trade, which lends itself to needing to have good troubleshooting skills to be successful. You can see why I find your channel so appealing. Your diagnostic skills are awesome. Your personality definitely lends itself to vlogging as well. Good stuff buddy! Keep up the great work! Your videos I'm sure will help me out of a jam some day.
All the things you dont get paid for , now you just get paid fix the ground
This definitely had a reality show feel to it towards the end Eric. Though I'm normally no fan of reality shows, I find your reality appealing and thoroughly enjoyable to watch. Thanks for sharing your day with us!
You missed your calling my friend....should be teaching shop someplace....you have a wealth of knowledge and are able to get the info across, do not take this comment lightly...I have seen others comment about you in the same manner....thanks for the great videos.
I love your old videos !!!!!
Best line of the video. " I pretty certain that the fix were doing is proper "
thanks for the video, looking forward to the honda video.I grew up on sesame street and mr. rogers Hanna really missed out.
kids nowadays don't know sesame street 😕
Hannah is in the shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cute girl.
who is this hannah? intern?
***** you might want to ask Eric O. who she is.
Rev up your engines.....for the sesame street channel. LoL. Two cars, one extreme to the other. Whenever something doesn't work on a Fucus look for rusty or missing areas and you will find the problem.
Great Video - as usual. I LOVE your comment at 25:00. " It'll almost roll with the Honda Civics". $40k, all in, ok,.......
I like that $65.00 charge you put on the Focus. For many that: sounds ridiculously low. For a few, that amounts to a lot of money. Hope your daughter is feeling better soon. coldbear.
His rate is prob $65 an hour. An hours worth of work for an hours worth of pay.
Funniest line, "This car needs a jumpstart... from itself" haahahahaha so good.
wow, that Nova is so nice. I used to have a 1971 but it had the inline six cylinder.
What to do when you wake up early at 3 AM on Saturday morning? No problem watch South Main Auto on the big screen. I took auto repair shop back in high school in the mid 60s.... I never mechanic'd for a living but I've saved a fortune being able to fix my own things and made a little extra here and there as I went along. I've never bought a new car or lawnmower, there was always one that came along that just needed some fixing, well,..... sometimes a lot of fixing.
I got to watching your videos while researching some problems a neighbor is having with his vehicle.
What comes to mind is how productive the USA could be if we were all like Eric and how I'd rather have the two bucks that guy burned up in gas with the Nova than the thrill of the acceleration.... growing old does that to a fellow.
In addition to all the great information on car repair your videos are also very entertaining!
