    im loving mine. my neat d4 broke right when this was released so i got it, and so far its been the best robovac ive owned. Aside from not being dshaped it seems to be better the the d4 to me, the navigation is really good, hasnt gotten stuck once, and even manages to get past or over obstacles that used to get other vacs stuck. highly recommend

    I watched this while my Wyze Robot vacuum is doing living room/Dining room. It does so well and and the blade to cut the hair stuck in the blade is so helpful. It runs over bumps easily, too. It's the refurbished model that's frequently on sale for $190.

    I've been waiting for this review! I received my Wyze robot vacuum and got it set up a couple of weeks ago. Overall I've been very happy with the performance of the vacuum. It does a good job on all of the flooring types I have and it has cut back significantly on how often I need to break out the regular vacuum.
    I did have a little trouble with the initial mapping and dividing up of rooms. I've remapped a couple of times to get things the way I want them and have figured out where I need to put no go zones now. My one complaint so far is that it seems to create a dead zone that it doesn't quickly unlearn if there's an object sitting somewhere in a room on the initial map that later gets moved. I have noticed this if a piece of furniture is in a different location than when the robot initially mapped the room. Having been a user of other Wyze products for a couple of years now I have no doubt that they will fix this issue in a software update and I wouldn't say it's a major issue at this point - more of an annoyance.

    I have the Wyze vacuum. I agree with your review. The only problem I’ve had is the App and mapping. Occasionally I’ll have to reset the map because for some reason when it begins vacuuming it loses its orientation and goes off map overwriting (like it discovered a new area). I’m sure firmware updates will fix and address these issues and over I’m very happy with it.

      Same thing happened to me today. I stopped cleaning and turned it off. Then I opened the app again, turned the vacuum on and started cleaning. I made sure everything in my room was in the exact same place like it was when it made the correct map. And viola, it automatically switched to the correct older map and just forgot the crap of map it ended up with just few mins back.

      You can look on Reddit and their forums, lots of unhappy customers with updates breaking older products and some bugs that never gets fixed meanwhile wyze just keeps on pushing new products because that's their source of income. If you want this vacuum, get it directly from Viomi/Xiaomi, also have mopping, not the rebranded wyze one.

      @johnjingleheimersmith9259 Pƙed 3 lety +4

      @@daijoubu4529 So I just went over there to the subr and I think you're making a real stretch on that claim. Mostly about what you'd see on other decent company subreddits, not a lot of angry customers with issues. As a neato owner, wyze conversely has been incredibly costumer-centric and an amazing great value. And based on my interaction with other wyze (bulb. cam, and plug) customers, not sure where you're getting your sentiment.

    Wonder if you could provide more info on cleaning run times with each power setting. More importantly could you post a comparison chart with each vacuum and its corresponding time that it took to clean each of your test rooms? I believe battery life (and cleaning efficiency) is a bit more important especially if you consider a larger floor plan. For example my roomba S9 takes (prior to the recent update) 6+ hours to clean my upstairs as to where the T8 AIVI could do it on 1 charge in about 1.5 hours. Considering i usually run the vacuum immediately after i pick-up my house ( i have 2 toddlers) i need the robot to be able to clean quickly before the kids inevitably make a mess again.
    And as far as what i mean by efficiency, 30 minutes with a lidar bot vs 30 mins of cleaning with a camera based bot is a much different thing.

    Great review as always!
    Maybe not the biggest factor, but whenever I'm choosing a smart device I always like knowing if it's Chinese in origin. This has nothing to do with the fantastic Chinese people, and everything to do with the Chinese government. I'm really uncomfortable with the way the current Chinese government can strong arm companies into spying on their behalf, and I don't feel safe allowing products with that kind of security hole into my home.
    Knowing companies like Wyze are US based is a huge plus to me in that regard. It doesn't guarantee privacy, but there's certainly a lot more accountability there and that's great peace of mind.

    I have the Wyze Vacuum and have been Using it for about a month. I also have a 901 Debot and they are very similar. The only thing I do not like is the charging. It seems to not find the charger very well sometimes and will not hook up correctly. It sometimes takes 5-10 tries to finally hook up to power but that is minor. The issue I have is that it will stop charging for no reason. It hooks up and then several hours later you find that it is not charging but it has not moved and is touching the charging station with the charge points.. They need to dome out with a pet hair brush also.
