      Tony Wong made Gm with a g26. Granted he's super dedicated to his game but it can be done with about anything if you want to. Will you win nationals that way, no. But you can get very proficient.

    I want to get into competition shooting, but I don't currently have the time. I have taken basic firearms and modify them to improve them, but now days you can buy a lot of modifications already built into the firearms. Competitions might be a great place to try new things out, but on your EDC you stick with what you know that works. Some triggers are great for competition, but is too light for EDC. Once again it boils down to training. The more you do it the better you will get. Also that famous saying, Two is One, and One is None. Great Video!!!!

    My EDC is a P365xl but I have Icarus precision EVO frame ,fdez XXL comp slide, DPM recoil kit, M carbo trigger and a Tlr7a . I can use XL or macro mags depending on clothing print but I can complete equally with staccato xc at half the cost with more reliable and concealed carry gun. Aftermarket has made p356 the most adaptive platform out there. You can use the FCU from your original p365 to build off of as you carry the macro

    I went with something i could use for tactical shooting but also for ipsc if i wanted too.
    So i went with a CZ P10 F and so far i have not been disappointed, and it it still complete stock. Dont see or feel the need for any change, besides getting a fibre optic front sight.
    Only thing i would love to get in time, would be to get a seperate optic slide. So i could switch for shooting red dot when i want.

Could you do a recommendation video on pistol models you would recommend? For example X5 legion, but I'm nervous about the 320's negligent discharges. I like Glocks just don't like the grip angle for natural point of aim. I have larger hands and long fingers. Would love to hear your suggestions please!

      Based on my experience and everyone I know that has 10’s of thousands of rounds thru Sig P320 variants, they do not fire on their own . Negligent discharges are by definition, operator errors. I find the Sig TXG grip module is great for big hands. I shoot a P320 Max . Canik Rival is probably the best affordable CO pistol out of the box .

    Yes, I’d definitely shoot some matches with whatever appropriate pistol you have before investing any money in more expensive gear. Being competitive in any division isn’t dependent on your gear anyway until you’re experienced in the game and any marginal gain could possibly give you a slight edge over similarly skilled players.

    Comp or carry.
    Why sacrifice control for a convenience. Single stack vs double.
    Small hands suffer control issues on large frame guns.
    Oh, you need a double stack for the large mag well for a reload.
    Learn to reload.
    Better control beats convenience.

  • @shooterqqqq
    @shooterqqqq Před 6 měsíci

    Getting good is expensive. Practice a lot and you need to reload your own ammunition. If you want to cut costs, then shoot IDPA without the race guns. Choose a gun that's popular so you can have a choice of holsters and you can buy magazines. Mags have to be loaded before the match and you need more than you think you need. They get damaged or dirty. Additionally, forget about everyone else. Compete against yourself and get better each time you go. That makes you a better shooter.
