    US, OS and Neutral in every category is my go to tactic.
    But I also have a couple utility discs (such as mutant and firebird)
    Also two apporach discs (k1 soft and hard berg ftw!)
    And if a couple slots are left (meaning you have more space) just put a couple fun discs in there! Cuz why not? Haha

    Good advice. I am trying to limit my molds and stick to nothing faster than a 9 speed. Throwing comets/buzzzes to dial in form more. Throwing zones and raptors when I want to score well. Mostly discraft at this point to represent a Michigan company. Still using Judges. Came very close to using Roaches. I gave a friend my Roaches so I’m not tempted to buy another 10+ Roaches. I’ve spent far too much money on discs the past few years.

      That sounds like a solid plan! I wish I had done that when I started!
      Judges are good too!

    Awesome video man, this seems like it will be really helpful for a lot of people. Can you do this same format for how to fill your plate at a buffet with one of everything please? Just kidding...

    LOVE your content Michael! This has been so helpful and I've learned so much in the last 24 hours. Question to build on this video: what weights do you recommend for an average player? I'm athletic and tall (6'2") and started playing over the Summer. As I'm now considering building out my collection from the standard Innova 3 disc starter set, I want to make sure I get a weight which will work for me. I'm looking at discs around 170g as that seems like the middle of the range - thoughts?

    • @MichaelMayoDiscGolf
      @MichaelMayoDiscGolf  Před 2 lety +3

      Hey, Michael! I'm glad you have been enjoying the content! I think finding discs around the 170g range will be perfect for you, especially for the drivers. I, personally, throw heavier weights for the putters so the wind doesn't affect them as much!
      I'm glad that you found disc golf! It is a fantastic sport! Let me know if you have any questions in the future!

    These are great tips! Definitely going to help me as I begin building a bag. Definitely going to be an overtime affair, so I'll have to come back to this video.

    I just found this sport last month. Im averaging about +12 with a max drive of 290 on my home course currently (over 7 rounds). I was gifted my bag set which includes:
    DD: Journey/ Trespass
    FWD: Raptor/Undertaker
    MID: Buzzz/ Sol/ Caiman
    PUT: Aviar/Zone
    I've read all the comments mentioning to not even bother with Distance drivers currently, which is understandable. I can only drive about 30 feet further with a distance driver over a fairway. Long story short, is there any of these that you would remove? And lastly, amazing video, I think your channel is criminally underrated!

      @MichaelMayoDiscGolf  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for watching and the kind words!
      The journey and trespass are good options for a slower arm speed. You could probably get some great distance with a mild stability fairway driver. Something like an Avenger SS or Heat could give you the flip you need to get distance you want with the lower arm speed threshold!

      @@MichaelMayoDiscGolf Ironic enough, I just purchased a Avenger SS last night. Thanks for the reply, it definitely will be put to good use haha.

    How do I find these tournaments that are shoving discs down your throat? Asking for an amateur... 👀

    • @MichaelMayoDiscGolf
      @MichaelMayoDiscGolf  Před měsícem +1

      Some tournaments provide more “bang for your buck” than others. Ask players in your area what tournaments provide the best payout. Good luck on winning lots of plastic!

    • @MichaelMayoDiscGolf
      @MichaelMayoDiscGolf  Před 3 lety

      Lol! I’m glad that you have a disc that can do it all! Having a good balance it stability of discs will allow you more creativity and consistency in your lines. But I’m stoked you have a disc that you love so much! Having a disc that you trust is always great!

    I was ready to argue the duplicates argument and then I listened onward. I would say duplicates should be the same mold for lost discs and various states of wear for the more advanced players. Good video.

    Beginner: thousands of discs… want them all😅 I have like 35 discs now and it is good for training. Often staying at a hole and just throw 8 drivers again and again to practice. But now how to get a first tournament go to bag???
