Hey! Here's some very nice stuff for you 😀🤘 /Jonathan

Out of bounce haha, love it
If that is the correct term - my initial impression that disc golf is a parody of real golf is confirmed 😆
@@dyvel Nah, it's "Out of bounds". That's why it's so funny. Most of the terminology about the course is the same.
I get a kick outta those. Like Jonathan's recent "hearth warming" moment! 🤣
@Tor In golf they yell "fore", in disc golf it's "two".
It crossed the bouncery of the course. Out of bounce.
Please tell me that Lat 64 will be recording his first tournament and either streaming it live or doing some post editing for youtube. I would love to watch!
Yes :). It will be a front 9 and back 9 sort of situation 😃 /Jonathan
@@Latitude64 Awesome!
Oh i so need to watch that 😃
Yes : )
No pressure there
I got invited to play disc golf for the first time about 2 months ago and have now played 7 times total, the most difficult course being Dragon Ridge in Camdenton, MO. I always thought it was a weird game but now having played it with friends, I'm so glad to have these experiences and opportunities to do something just a little bit physical (lord knows I need it) but also to have only had such positive interactions with every single person I've crossed paths with. I'm glad I tried and thank you for this content. I've enjoyed subscribing to this page!
Thanks for sharing, Tim. Disc golf is an awesome sport, and I've met so many great people because of it! / Johannes
That OB was like a tired kangaroo… out of bounce
😂
😂
So proud that your doing your first Tournament! Go get em!!!!
Your videos are the absolute best! I am pretty new to playing seriously and your videos have single handedly taught me how to throw, putt, learn my discs and terminology and now the rules. Please never stop!
Every video uploaded here ALWAYS seems to be perfect timing. I swear, this content is golden 🙌
Jonathan dude, you are the reason I bought my first latitude/trilogy discs and i can't say enough how much I love them. Thank you for your awesome and funny content and best of luck for your tournament. Remember slow is smooth and smooth is far (i know it's from Danny, but it works and is trilogy) ;)
Yes! Ive been waiting for this! Now I have a good video to show my beginner friends!👌👍
I’d like to see Jonathan play mixed doubles with Kristin Tattar, do you think Lat64 could get that for us one day? 😎🔥
That's a cool idea! / Johannes
Jonathan and Kristin Tattar, and Johannes and Keith Emerson ❤️
@@fredrikhansson6169 Me and this guy? 😉en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Emerson
@Latitude 64 //Johannes!
That would also be awesome, but i think the mixed dubbles contest Will be unfair. 😃
That would be great. Be sure to include Silver and Johannes as caddies.
I discovered Disc golf two weeks ago and I LOVE it! Love your content too, thank you!
Jonathan is legit one of the funniest guys on YT. So glad I found this channel
thank you so much! ❤🤘
Hey. I really like your videos and I'm really excited for Jonathans first tournament. I just bought my first two latitude 64 discs a day ago. (Haven't had opurtunity to test them yet though). Bought an explorer and a dagger. I'm really excited to try them out. :)
Yes! Be nice! Theres nothing worse than missing an important putt just because someone in your group starts to make noise during your ”routine”.
This and waiting for other groups to finish before throwing your drives are the most important ”rules” i feel like
Love the videos! Your game has definitely improved Jonathan
Very usefull video. (And not only for players, what are going to play their first tournament.)
Thank you. I have my first tournament this Saturday! It isn’t sanctioned, but I only started two weeks ago. Steep learning curve.
I’m so excited to watch the tournament 🙌🏾
Love the approach!! Keep 'em coming...
Part 2 request: stuff about trees and vegetation/moving stuff
I scored a mini just like the one you used. Matches my bag. ❤️🔥
Love this video! Some of these are more *Disc Golf rules in sanctioned/serious events*
In a casual atmosphere the best rules are be friendly, be humble, have fun, and YELL FOUR!
Learned some stuff and laughed too. Thank you.
Thank You, very simple but very important.
Dang. Great video and I was about to share it on our site but it’s already out of date. 😛
New Rule that even many Pros aren’t taking advantage of:
Beginning in 2022, if your disc lands in OB, you can now mark a new lie from OB anywhere within a 1 meter semi-circle from where the disc was last in bounds. Even if it’s closer to the basket.
Though, if the disc lands inbounds next to OB, you still have to mark a new lie within 1 meter, perpendicular to the OB line (except in corners). Also, all supporting points must be inbounds at the point of release as usual.
Thanks guys. Keep the content coming!
one of your best yet!
Good luck at the tournament. I just played my first tournament too and it was so much fun. Enjoy yourself and just have fun 😀
Great video, good luck in your tournament, can't wait to see...
Loved this. Funny and informative ✌🏼
I recently played my first scored round with people who actually know what they’re doing. 😬 These were helpful reminders!
Good luck on your first tournament Jonathan!
You guys are awesome, love your videos. Really like the accent. Pretty darn good tips too.
I really love these videos and hope Johannes sent me the shirt that Jonathan is wearing. Cheers boys!
This video is great!
I absolutely love your type of humor. Subscribed
Awesome. Welcome. Let me know if there´s something you´d like to see on the channel =) /Jonathan
Just Go Ace. Always excellent advice!
Thank you...be stoic, hydrated, rested and not hungry.
LOL "I see a loop hole here" oh man just wear the pants. Awesome content!
I love these guys. They remind me (I'm very old) of the old comedy duo The Smothers Brothers. Jonathon even looks like Tommy Smothers a bit. Thanks for a great video and thanks for sharing.
I believe "OB" where you play it where it ended up is considered a "hazard." The sand bunkers at Las Vegas Challenge are an example.
This was delightful
Glad you liked it, Daniel :) /Jonathan
It's my left arm. Brilliant
Liked and subscribed. New disc golf player here and these are really helpful videos👍👍
Hey! Welcome. Let me know if there´s something you´d like to see on the channel :) /Jonathan
Jonathan never gets old, his video just get better and better!
This was helpful. I didn't realize how much room I could use behind a mini when I have to straddle out. I've been making the game harder. Don't need that.😆
Glad to hear we are helping out! / Johannes
Good luck Jonathan!
Well done!
Good Luck for your first tournament!!!!!! Most important rule of all you left out, Have Fun!
My wife always tells me to "Have fun, don't get hurt" when I play.
Good luck in your tournament! I just played in my first a couple weekends ago.
Thank you :). How did it go?
@@Latitude64 my goal was to be +18 or better on each round. I was +16 on each round, so good from that point of view. I was the worst novice by many strokes, but that is ok. I’m just getting started and don’t through anything much further than my dagger and keystone.
Been hucking for 40 years and it makes a better round when people fallow the rules and are nice.👍✌
I encountered this the other day with a new player and some very experienced ones.
While observing or waiting for a player to shoot be conscious of where you stand. It's best to be behind and out of the sight lines of the player who is away.
Be nice, ask if you are uncertain of something, and speak up politely if someone is in your way or making noices. Then situations like that will probably pan out in a positive way. / Johannes
Or at the very least, stand very still and be a tree until the disc is flying at your head, haha.
Please do make a video with the result from your tournament, i was supposed to play my first this weekend, but a broken elbow ruined that. I would love to see how you did.
That sucks and sounds painful. I hope you have healed well and have another tournament in your not-so-distant future.
Go Ace today...it's VERY easy?!? 🤣
Great video 👍👍
Might be instructive to tell that in case there is a mandatory.. The furthest away from the mandatory(if the player/players haven't gone past it) throws first even if they r closer to the basket. AND you mark your lie towards the mandatory and not the basket at all times before the mandatory.
Also you can't play with your lie out of bounds. So you have to mark it inbounds even if it is inbounds already like in the benefit of the doubt situation shown here. And good to know, even if you are fully inbounds, you can take your meter from the out of bounds line.
Oh and more about out of bounds and shots in general. You can always abandon your shot and proceed to throw from your previous lie if it is still marked. With one penalty shot added to your score of course. So if your putt rolls like 50m or rolls to out of bounds and you putted from 5 meters for an example, you can just disregard that shot and try again.
Good one! We kept this one short and concise. But we will take this with us for a possible part two. / Johannes
Lots of fun but good basic rules.
Gl in ur tourney!
Been thinking of possibly joining my first tournament myself, so these are good tips. Also, your easy-go backpack is near impossible to find for sale
We are working an a new edition of the Easy-Go. / Johannes
Awesome video for a guy looking to start. I think there is an audio issue with the mics you were using. Anyone hear that buzzing? Thanks!
totally. I don´t know why one of them acted up on this one. =) /jonathan
I think I could watch you guys play just about any sport and it would be fun to watch. The commentary had me laughing
Stop it yooouuuu ❤️🤘
Out of Bounce. lol I love it.
This is pure gold. Great segment!!! So refreshing to hear people speaking English without unnecessarily saying "like" or "super" in every sentence. Also, now that most people have phones with glass screens and no buttons, nice not to hear the proverbial "smash the like button." Being a nice person on and off the course seems so foriegn to so many people lately. Highly enjoyed the straight face humor while delivering insight on actual rules. Good stuff guys.
Vad är skillnaden på out of bounds och out of bounce? Tack för videon! den lärde mig mycket som jag inte visste.
Ingenting. Bare play on words
#Rules How about entering the basket from the side (I have seen photos of disks jammed in the basket, below the lip)
Also some hanging from the chain attachments at the top... and also (I believe it was deemed not in) a disk on the lid above the chains).
And Trees.... We have a hole that start to finish inside trees (Island Bay New Zealand) and on hole one, a pine tree that should be titled the course caddy, as it has more disks in it than most noob's own (there is one disk still there after months, at least 50ft up... it's almost a course tradition to throw something at the disk... you try throwing something straight up 50ft...)
Gold!
Did you intentionally fill this video with dad jokes? As I dad. I approve.
Nice
Regarding OB play. Does it only matter where the disc lands? i.e. What if it completely flies into the OB area, but curves back into playable area?
The royal line is the shit.... i have one of every disc and two imperfect faiths coming my way soon, cant wait
those Lat 64 socks!!!
I´m a bit partial here but those socks are the most comfortable socks I´ve ever had. I´m always dissapointed when they´re all in the washer, haha.
I have liked and subscribed. Mainly since I have completely stolen the saying "We're gonna go ace now".
Very important
Good luck!
Cool
Jonathan? In a tourny?! OH YEEEEEAAAAAAAA!!!!
Saaaaaa Weeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Addon rule about moving dead (and loose) stuff away from your lie? Pluss not braking twigs and so on! Our local course is destroyed with beginners breaking all twigs and branches to get out of jail.
Good call. You legally can't even push them out of your way to make a path unless that happens naturally during the motion of the throw.
If something is dead and not attached to a living tree or plant, though, move it (unless it's obviously part of the course design like a big boulder or something).
I understand the OB areas but what happens with the disc land beside a giant tree that's in the middle of the course? Do you either blindly have to forehand around it or is there a rule towards taking a step away? To have more of a clear shot?
Out of bounce haha där ”finns inget hopp”
😂
Jonathan’s tshirt is the best one Ive seen so far. Are they for sale?
Yes, search for latitude 64 tropical shirt. That's where you'll find it.
Yes, we have them available here: store.latitude64.se/search?q=tropical
Got one more question, I have the PDGA rules book, but Lord knows, there are a lot of them, and... and kind of like algebra, they sometimes are hard to understand... So, here's my question. If the disc, let's say roles, then as it roles, it roles out of bounds, but then turns back and comes to rest in bounds. Is it out of bounds and marked penalty where it went out of bounds, or is it played where it comes to rest without a penalty, same question, if it skips off the water but lands in bounds, or skips out of bounds but comes to rest in bournds. BTW thanks for your great tips earlier this year as I was playing my first tournament. Smooth and calm, I think you said... oh and have fun. That was my favorite one. :)
Out of bounce
You made me Google it thinking I was saying the wrong thing since forever haha
😂 Sorry for that! / Johannes
I'm an old guy and still working to improve my distance. Is it legal to do a run up on a lie? Thanks for your channel.
Yes you can do that =). Glad you like the channel. Have a great day! /Jonathan
Good luck! and may you get favorable bounces, kicks and hungry baskets!
Question...... If i end up for example in the woods after a nasty tree kick, is it allowed to move the stupid branch haning in the way of next throw or do i have to throw it as it is. Not break it, just move it???
Just remember to throw high! That way they aren't looking down at any foot faults! ;) Good luck!
Unless you are playing Nikko Locastro with Ricky Wysocki or Ken Climo with Scott Stokely. Those two just wouldn't let it go.
😂
When are we getting the signature Orange Fuse for sale?
Hopefully soon! / Johannes
The correct term is "Out of Bounds". It does sound like "Bounce" when we say it so I understand the confusion. It's ok I know English is not your first language.
I mean, he is a funny dude and.. maybe, just maybe.. it was intentional.. I don't know. Maybe.
Haha I would like to say that it was intentional. But not really, haha :)
Best thing I found is no matter how I'm playing keep it fun and it will be a good day, getting mad for a bad game or some one else smoking you it's only going to ruin the day.
I actually didn't know that you need to have a T-Shirt on while on a Discgolf Tournament and i've have been playing Discgolf for 5 Years. xD
@5:45 has changed, u can actually take it 1 meter towards the basket if you have been ob
- Good arm..
- Thank you, it's my left one.
Why did I laugh so hard to that!?
😂
Also new to the rules here but can you not run up on a second throw or does you foot have to be planted?
No no you can totally do a run up. Just the last foot the needs to be planted as you throw.
I enjoy every video these guys make. Always informative and funny.
Thank you, Jeff :)
Hey Jonathan, how do we get a smiley face Fuse, and how much are they?
Not for sale :). Just me doing some drawing on a disc. One day maybe. haha Im not in charge of those things. have a great day! /Jonathan
Can you run up to the second shot marker if a par 4 ?
Yes, you can do a run-up to whichever shot you like You just have to be a bit more precise on foot placement compared to shots from the tee. / Johannes
👍🏻
Always ask if you are outside 10 meters then don't jump putt anyways.
So if i get this right, when your disc lands, you have to put your marker in line of your disc and the basket because its your target, but what if you are going through a mando? should your marker point towards the mando because thats your target?
Usually the line of play is toward the basket. However... if there is a mandatory on the hole, the line of play is always towards the mando, but only if the direct path from you to the basket crosses the mandatory line. Here's a good blog post from Udisc that explains it in detail: udisc.com/blog/post/disc-golf-rules-explained-mandatories-mandos / Johannes
When in fairway or anywhere you have used a marker, can I take take 260 steps before throwing, as long as I have something planted in that zone, before release?
I was thinking the same thing! Anybody out there that can answer this?? I understand within the 10 meters of the basket rule, but outside of that, are you allowed a run up?
I found it, yes you can.
my question is, I've seen people who's disc was mostly OB but not all the way. ok that's in then they take they're meter forward and put their mini down. which is weird because I can see sometimes this is ok, like if your disc is in the water. but others like if your disc is on a path you can easily stand there and throw. when playing for fun I play where ever my disc lands if I can play it. so if you can stand in the OB it's a bunker if you can't then you move a meter in.
What PDGA says about it: "If the position of the thrown disc is in-bounds and within one meter of an out-of-bounds line, the lie may be relocated to a new lie at any point on a one-meter line that extends perpendicularly from the nearest point on the out-of-bounds line and passes through the center of the thrown disc." I hope that explains it. But when playing for fun, do exactly what you want! / Johannes
