I have the same exact grinder and it's amazing!! I butcher my own deer and have used it the last 2 seasons. If you're considering getting one, go for it!! You won't be sorry
Do you have to worry about the grinder getting too hot? I deciding on buying one specifically for deer that I harvest. Looking at the #8
@@chrisforrester3092 it takes me about 15 minutes to grind an entire deer. Hardly runs long enough to get very hot. I have the big bite #8. If you're thinking about getting one, get it!!! Well worth the money

I found one of these (Model 779) brand new at a flea market for $15.00 Still in the box, and all the stainless steel parts still had factory milling grease on them. Using it for the second time, this thing is amazing!

Is this the model with the .35 hp motor? I see the new model comes with .5 hp motor. I wonder if it's worth paying to get a little more power.

I have the #12 LEM.. I don't even chunk the meat.. I feed it the longest strips that will fit in the opening and it will pull it right out of your hands... And like your grinder , the motor barely slows down. LEM grinders may be matched by a few others but can NOT beat !!

There's also a metal piece that looks like a handle, has a hole for a screw on one end (no screw) and a 2-tine fork thingie on the other end. *WHAT IS IT?* Didn't see this piece in the manual and don't know where I'm supposed to attach it.

I tried to order an LEM big bite 12. The ad said that there would be $7.00 for shipping. When I went to check out the shipping was $40.00. I cancelled it and bought a 3/4 hp carnivor from Cabelas. Free shipping. $100.00 less.

Used my grinder for the first time today. Unfortunately the overload/over temperature circuit breaker trips after 5 seconds of use.
I was able to grind 5.5 pounds of pork shoulder and stuffed into casings (spanish chorizo) but it took a month of Sundays. I will call LEM for advice but I suspect it'll be headed back to Amazon. Having said all that I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. I will definitely take an exchange and not a refund from Amazon.

That's not a review it's a demonstration. A review requires that you have used the item for a period of time and can give pros and cons on an item. Most new things work good at least once.

I think it will but have never tried grinding chicken bones. You should go back to the manufacturer (Lem) and ask them.
