    I love your lessons. You clarify things very well. I never could figure out why people would say Falou when they were done talking to each other.

      Olá Rick!! Thanks for your participation!!
      Next time, when saying goodbye (in an informal context) give it a try and say 'Falou'. 😎

    I wish I found this three years ago when I started dating a Brazilian - But still a fun and useful video. You forgot to say the ever informal "Tchau beijos - Tchau tchau beij beij tchau beij" Love your energy and can't wait to see some more of your videos

    For guys I use "Valeu" and for girls I always used "Tchau". But I like how cool "Fui" sounds too. But I have never used it since I am afraid of coming off as being rude.

    • @PlainPortuguese
      @PlainPortuguese  Před 2 lety +2

      Oi Rafa!! I suggest you use some other sentences before saying 'Fui', then.
      For example, 'Foi legal te encontrar, mas tenho que ir porque...Tenha um bom fim de semana! Fuuuui!"
      Don't forget that the goodbye moment in Brazil is almost like a ritual 😂

      Oi Carl! Nesta época do ano, a cidade está se preparando para o Natal. Há várias programações especiais e árvores de Natal pela cidade.
      Na frase 'até a próxima', 'até' literalmente significa 'until'...'until next time'.
