I was wondering the same thing. I think I only saw one woman over 60.

I think leggings are fine, if you have the right figure. For me, my thighs and knees are too heavy/ chunky and just seems to emphasise this problem as they are form fitting on the leg. Even a long sweater doesn't really help as I don''t wear super long sweaters, being 5' 1" just doesn't look good to wear such a long sweater.
I was thrilled to hear you say this. Everyone I hear says No more leggings. I can't wear jeans anymore either because they're just too uncomfortable. I'm in my 60s and love leggings with a long chunky sweater and boots. Love you for this.

This was great. Loved it. I’m 60 and leggings are my uniform. I wear them with everything you mentioned plus skimms black dress. Then I put in an oversized sweater. I wear the skimms dress to over my back and front. Wear riding boots, booties, Uggs, sneakers or Sandals all depending on the weather.
Great overview of styling options for leggings. As an older woman, I love my leggings. Reports from the fashion world suggested that leggings were "outdate,". Jeans seems to be the name of the game right now, including baggy jeans. So heartening to have your support and ideas for women over 60 wearing leggings. Thanks.

When my Mom got around 45-50, she said she couldn’t stand those tight, rigid waistbands of jeans, etc. anymore. When I got to about that age, I found the same thing. I think it’s because after menopause we get a bit of abdominal thickening between the waist and hipbones, even very slender women, or those who haven’t gained weight, do. I wear mostly skirts and dresses because they’re so comfortable, or stretchy trousers. I like an elasticized waist, not just for comfort, but also because they flex when I sit, but tighten back up as I stand. I don’t have any hip curve, so without elastic skirts and pants will fall right off me. Walking around having to hold pants up with both hands is not my idea of comfort, nor do belts, even elastic ones, help. There has to be that “stop” at the hip.Best of all is a knit dress, I wear them every chance I get. Skirts and dresses don’t ride up! Worst of all were those skinny jeans, full of synthetics and Spandex, tight and uncomfortable. Good riddance.
So many women wear leggings with short tops but it looks awful. I like the "oversize sweater" styling so much more! I have a few pairs and will have to wear boots with the leggings. You showed some great ways to wear leggings. I like your styling ideas! TFS.

Perspective from a guy; I probably can't speak for every guy, but I think a lot of us really appreciate seeing shiny leggings on you women. Maybe you would be willing to consider those from brands like Leohex, Amoresy and Ishtar & Brute. Supposedly, shiny metallics are trending in fashion so shiny leggings would fit into that theme quite well.

Definitely happened to me during covid. I also was beginning to notice that any pressure on the knee caps while sitting in a chair caused my entire legs to ache. It took me a long time to figure that out. Even some super tight compression type leggings I just can't tolerate. I use a black mini skirt to make up any lack of length in my tops and really I find that I can wear any shoe with this look. Glad I found you!

Indeed, if everyone whether young or older look at themselves in the mirror first. Some women outlined their vulvas, men love it but please.
No tucks at all if you don’t have a flat stomach. A bit unrealistic for many women over a certain age

Me, too! I wear jeans every day while working from home. I don’t understand why some people say jeans are uncomfortable. When I worked in an office, we would contribute $1 a week to United Way in order to wear jeans on Fridays. This went on for years. No one would have done this if jeans were uncomfortable.
It would have been nice to see models over 60 years old too

I am 70 and I often where leggings and skinny jeans. I love wearing them with an oversized button down shirt. Leather or faux leather leggings with a loose fitting top, oversized black blazer, and boots, heels, or platform Chelsea boots are one of my favorite options. I can only wear leggings with knee high boots or else I am not able to zip them up. 😏
Wearing something if you are over 60 is no different than wearing it if you are under 60. If it looks good on your body, and it feels good on your body, wear it ! No age qualifier neccessary.
True. I've had nearly a whole lifetime of opinionated people telling me what to do (the last few years some possibly shocking responses have been returned to them). I just care about what I like to wear and my personal comfort level now. The perks of being my age and owning it! I love my leggings now. And my body does too.
I think a lot of the looks were a bit dated. Some were nice, but most dated.

PLEASE wear a longer top over leggings if your over 55-whatever much more feminine to cover the ladies area!!! and the backside!!!! leave the shorter tops to the younger girls & your granddaughters....but, leggings are comfortable just be careful what you put them with
I'm petite, so covering my front makes my legs look short and frumpy. The key is just to wear slightly thicker leggings.
If they are out of style -- wait-- don’t bother trying-- they will be back--
I can tolerate seeing any age women wearing leggings if the butt and crotch are covered. The problem is, women want those areas showing and its tacky. Boots & leggings look rediculous like a pirate or swashbuckler. To be safe dont wear them unless youre working out in a gym. And dont forget to cover your butt and crotch!

I spend my down time doing personal research. Im interested in studying the ingredients of skin and hair care products. I research the chemicals and natural ingredients examining how they interact with the body. Amino acids, peptides, herbal extracts, etc. Its kind of a hobby.
I live in a semi-rural town that is relatively small. I walk everywhere, sometimes 16 miles a day. Its how I recharge. Also I like gardening, decorating, and painting watercolors and acrylic. Mostly landscapes.

I wear thin leggings with boots in winter under my skirts, dresses, as warm and comfortable.

I hate jeans, in 50 years I’ve never found a single pair that fit reasonably well, I have a straightish shape and my hips and thighs are just too narrow, even for men’s jeans. They’re always tight at the waist, but have huge, empty flaps of fabric that stick out over the hips and upper thighs, they look like clown pants! Leggings are great for at home, but I don’t consider them day wear for in public. I won’t wear the big shirt look, it’s frumpy and far outdated, or a blazer over them - if I get hot, I can’t take a jacket off without revealing too much. I have some men’s 501s, the best fit I’ve found, but it’s still not good, and I’ve never actually worn them. I hope I never have to, they’re so uncomfortable, stiff, hot, rough and “grabby” on the skin. I can’t stand those tight, heavy-duty waistbands, either. I’d rather wear my silk joggers any day! Or a skirt or dress, my favorite.

Leggings are way in again, so as long as you can avoid showing too much camel toe or non-pert a$$, they look great! You can always belt a long shirt or t-shirt to give more definition and also adding a bright man's tie makes it funky (I'm 58) x
