Thank you. At 63 it’s hard to realize the years left are numbered and I’m not in the center. It’s hard to “change jobs” after a lifetime of different responsibilities. I know my focus must change but it’s mental conflict every day to focus differently.

A very thoughtful and insightful video, Irene. As you said, we are lucky if we get to grow old. Acceptance of things you can't change is helpful and if you can put a positive spin on things like you did with your hearing loss that is even better.

Irene, It’s taken me a while to comment because you have given a lot of food for thought with this video. Thank you SO MUCH for broaching this topic and also for your transparency. I have “secretly” wanted to have some enhancement work done, but I never allowed myself to truly think about it or admit it to others for fear that I would appear to have low self-esteem. But, in fact, I have a good and healthy level of self-esteem, and I’m a happy person. I merely want to do some tweaking. Your video has inspired me to look into cosmetic surgery more and without shame. Thank you!

Thanks Irene for your favourite inexpensive beauty products and I totally agree that cost is not an indicator of effectiveness! As you know I live in Sydney, Australia and have fair skin. Unfortunately, growing up in the sixties having a tan and being a beach babe was the only cool thing to be. All I got was more freckles 😊 Now, I visit my dermatologist every six months to have a check-up and many pre-cancerous things on face and body zapped. He also always advises using Vaseline on any wound as it heals!

I swear by Vaseline! I have extremely dry skin & i use it lips, body ,hair dressing adds shine & moisture Ponds is a good ol tried & true eye makeup remover. Havent tried the others tho

You are happy with the work that you have had done, Irene and that is the most important thing. There was a program on TV recently that interviewed many people young and old and in between who have had many types of plastic surgery for many different reasons and almost all were happy with the results. One of the young men had become addicted to the surgeries and was planning many more. He had been bullied as a child about his looks and a photo was shown of him as a child which showed a sweet looking chubby boy. Now he is thin and has a very chiselled face and says he is happy. As you said, it's a very personal journey.

Oh my I know what you are going through, I had the very same thing . I had taken a series of antibiotics . I went through this for a month. Went to the hospital once and they couldn’t find anything . This was so very painful! The second time I went to the hospital I was in an er room waiting room, so angry and desperate ,, I told my husband if you don’t get someone in here to take care of me I was going to clean this hospital room! I was that despirate. God bless yp🎉8l😊',

Oh my word. I am so sorry that you experienced this. How horrible. It sounds like your hospital experience was worse than the cdiff infection. I’m glad you are home!!! You must be so grateful to be at home. Makes eating out and taking antibiotics look a whole lot different. I wonder if taking a probiotic with the antibiotic would prevent this? Take good care. C Diff is yuck.. My wife gets that from taking antibiotics. She had had it 4 times. It is highly contagious.

Dear Lady. I have felt your pain. Hope this experience will not leave you with trauma as it would do that to me..But I am not mentally very strong unfortunatelly. .Listening to every detail, I am glad and thank you did this video for us! It shook me up as it did to you..I felt panic when you described how those 7 days went in the hospital room and I have no idea how I would manage since I am high anxiety individual and do not tolerate pain very well. It has been a nightmare scenario for me to end up in the hospital. I am Slovak (emigrant living in PA now) and can not apprehend that such an expensive(most expansive in the world) healthcare does a butcher job.For sure you will do anything now to keep your health protected, please look into natural remedies, eat at home and protect yourself.
