Thank you so much for this video and all the information and details! Absolutely amazing and perfect explanations, especially for beginners. I definitely recommend everyone - beginners and experienced - who is into this hobby check this video out, as well as the other ones he has made! 😁
Awww thank you
Hi I’m from Britain in the uk I am 67 years old and I’m looking to start carving wood as a hobby Nothing fancy and I came across your channel it’s nice to have information off people like you. Thanks for your help 🧔🏼♂️Nick one arm
Hi, I'm 54 UK and am doing the same 😁
Great video, clear and informative, Thankyou 🙏
This is an absolute dream video for beginners. The way you explain everything is so easy to understand! Thank you so much for making this video!!
The "wire brush" you showed is called a file card used to clean build up out of metal files!
Im brand new to wood carving and know nothing about it but I love it.. thanks for making this video it helped me a lot. .
Nice clear explanation Jordy, it's going to be so useful for the beginners. Finding out about Kutzall burrs certainly changed the game for me too, so thank you!
I loved to hear about the burrs as being a very beginner its very useful to know about the burrs and upkeep. I just got my Peter mandrill and got a carving fusion sticker. Jordy you explain so well without making beginners feel stupid and I thank you for that.
Thanks for the video my friend. Much appreciative.
Good explanation on the different shapes and cuts of the burrs. Another very informative video. This should help a lot of people. Hi Jordy.
Hello hello ,thank you very very much for yours videos I'm really happy for the way that you explain everything, I use me Dremel 4000 a lot because I am Artisan and I make Coconut Mask with the Coconut Shells and now I'm incursioning in the art of wood working, I do have a lots of burrs and now whatching your videos I learn and know the use of each burrs and the work that the burrs can make 😊🙏
Great video for people wanting info on the burrs for starting out Jordy, I think a lot of people get confused on what to use. So kudos to you for sharing your knowledge. Ok carry on!
I really enjoy your shows. You explain things and it has helped me so so much. Your the man and I watch everything you do. Hope to be able to keep watching. I'm new to this and I have been trying the things you show me. Thank you so much
Love the down to earth treatment and casual presentation. Great information!
Thank u
Definitely the guy to do the burr video, you have an assortment of them all. The Peter Blair mandrels are awesome. Got a wicked Carving Fusion World of Wood Carvers sticker with mine also.
Watching your videos is better than therapy! So informative, but so encouraging, accepting and uplifting too! Not everyone makes for being a great teacher or instructor, but you most-certainly are! Just subscribed to your channel and the joy that your passion holds for you is absolutely contagious. Just bought my first Dremel and am going to order some bits this week. Am going to try to carve my first project, faces on a large Redwood walking stick or staff. Just going to take my time, try to enjoy the process and see what comes of it over the next six or seven months, no rush and am going to try to stay away from the idea that it has to be perfect or even a certain way. Just have fun, come whatever it may. Anyhow, thank you so much for your awesome videos!
Awesome and ty for the kind words
Your video is so valuable to those of us with Dremels. Much easier than trying to search in a manual for the right burr for your specific project. Thanks so very much. I actually took notes for a quick reference.
Thank you
Thanks jordy for the detailed video on burrs 🙂
Howdy from Texas! I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. This video is very informative. i am looking into purchasing a rotary tool and you have just encouraged me to do so.

Jordy you are the peoples GoTo guy! Clear & Concise. This lady continues to learn from your OnPoint sharing. Could use your vid showing the marks those burrs make. Thank You
Thank u and that will be comming
Thanks Jordy, what I been wanting to see.
I watched while sorting my Dremel mess and I'm super impressed!! I frequently use wrong tools for any job really, and having instruction exactly like this, (short, descriptive) including what it's called to size to performance and medium is extremely helpful to me. Also the '0hh, that's what it's for'. Thanks man
:)
I am officially a fan. All around outstanding video for 101' ers . Hope I find more helpful videos from this awesome dude!!
Awesome thank you

You gave a really good breakdown of the different burrs! I just got the 3000 and I'm trying to find the right attachments to buy for woodcarving. (Darn you for tempting me with those stone carvers BTW, now I need those)
Cheers Jordy just ordered my extreme flame burrs 👍🏴

Jordy Johnson “anyone can do this woodspirit carving for beginners”
was the only video I came across when I was trying to learn how to start doing some type of carving which actually has a tutorial to show you how to start.
Actually teaching! Not showing how amazing he is.
I wouldn’t be carving if it wasn’t for this video I’ve watched a hundred plus times now. Ignore the thumbs down ‘ the haters’ and start something creative and amazing 😉 👍🥃🍻🧐
Awesome ty
Noice video Sir, very informative, you got yourself a sub from the UK
Appreciate the video Jordy thanks 🏴👍
Duct tape backed sandpaper works really well if you haven't got the fabric backed stuff to hand.
I Also Got Me A 36 Pack Of
Scroll Saw Blades On Amazon For $7.99
Now That's Not Bad Price.
Thanks Jordy!
Great info. I was going to buy the ones from harbor freight, cheap since I'm a beginner
Hello from Russia!
I've watched 1 minute of the video but i already can say this is the best guide for beginners! 36 y.o., just ordered my Dremel 8260. My reason for carving may looks crazy: i hate hot or cold tea. So i've decided to build a device with cup warmer and fans to make hot tea cold enough rapidly and keep it warm enough) Of course all of my fans have argb lightning. Why? Because i use pc fans and it's not really hard to buy separate argb controller. How wood carving involved in this? Well, i need some kind of stand for all of that stuff. And need to do channels in wood for all wires and plugs. Before Dremel i've used Engraving pen Arrowmax, but it's died yesterday. Probably can't handle this kind of work.
Thank u
You did a great job thank you
Great info, I need to enlarge the cavity on an electric guitar....
If I Want Sanding Discs I Just Trace Around A Cut Off Wheel & Cut Out A Few
Thank you Jordy

Thank you sir!! Subscribed
Thank you and welcome
Helpful!
I'm a new beginning and could you make some videos on how to use each burr and what burr is used for please? I want to make small animals out of wood blocks from Amazon.
Your videos rock!
Tha KS D
Ty ❤❤
Good info.
Thanks! I just upgraded to the 4000 from the little stylo one , and was pretty overwhelmed by the amount of attachments and bits available and which ones I should use for carving. My kit didn’t come with the flex shaft so it looks like I have to pick one up, it did come with the detailers grip but honestly i think even with that its still too clunky to hold for long work sessions compared to the dremel stylo that I’m used to lol.
Update: the cutzall burrs are on Amazon prime right now, and they’re only $15 for the 1/8 shaft ones! Ordered a flame burr and the flex shaft to make using it more ergonomic lol because I’ve been straining my wrist trying to get the regular dremel 4000 at a good angle to further hollow out the inside of these wooden hinges lol. Thanks again for the recommendations!!
@@stinky59 is the upgrade worth it - with and without the flex shaft? Thanks!
@@bozhidarkn yes for sure, but it depends what you need it for! even without the flex grip the 4000 rotates much faster and has more attachments. i would never attempt to cut wood with the stylo but i was able to cut and carve pieces of plywood with the 4000. however the stylo is still better for carving little details and sanding other materials, i use it to smooth out plastic parts and to sand resin casts of my sculptures, but the 4000 is better for woodworking and cutting. if you’re just carving or sanding small projects the stylo is fine! but if you need to cut wood and carve big things faster then the 4000 is better
Would you make a video demonstration of what each basic burr does? What would I need for larger carvings?
Lots of videos on that in my play lists
nice 👌
Thank you. I can't quite get the right bit to cut a piece of porcelain from the back of an old antique clock, Can you tell me what will cut through hard porcelain easily?. Thanks.
I would think the diamond buts could do that
Hi friend I'm from Namibia I'm a woodcarver but we don't get those bits in our country I hope you can help me out thanks
Hey just fyi. Disinfectant wipes are great for cleaning off grease off the tips, tools and even skin! Just make sure to moisturize so you don't dry out your hands. The wipes are 😃
I bought my rotary tool for trimming my goat's hooves. Trying to figure out what is the best bit to use for the job. I saw one person using a barrel sanding bit, but they didn't really explain anything, and their goat did not have overgrown hooves.
Metal working burrs
@@CarvingFusion Thank you.
You would laugh if you knew how long I've been looking for this info, thanks for sharing. Do you have a video for the different shapes you get from each burr?
Ummm I do not think so but possibly I can do a video soon
@@CarvingFusion that would be awesome, I just ordered a set of the extreme burrs because I'm looking to do some serious removal, a video on the different types of burrs and the way the leave the wood would be cool. I didn't know if I should pick up some coarse or fine burrs or just sand haha
CFUSION DISCOUNT applied. Thanks Jordy, a handy Video. It would be good to get one like this on the chainsaws, sprockets and carving bars. Which brands are interchangeable etc.
Ty
i was searching for some of these burrs for my dremel to start carving woodspirits, but no Kutzall or Sabertooth in my country... unknown brands... now I am stuck with my woodspirit. Frustrating....
Hi. I am considering giving carving a go as I already make signs and do fractal burning and your videos have gave me an idea. Is it possible to carve a wood spirit in end grain? Just the same/ difficult or not worth trying? Do you fancy trying it? Cheers.
Yes u can carve the end grain just 100× harder then any other type of grain and ty
Hi, could you tell me if the flame burr would be suitable for carving wooden spoons etc, thanks
Yes 100 % it would be
So, what's hardwood to you? I have hickory, but then I have ironwood or wenge as well. Is there a certain janka I SHOULD use aluminum bits with?
All hard woods
Thanks, I need burs for aluminum though
There is aluminum cutting burrs
Hi Jordan I'm a total novice to power carving so could you tell me if the dremel 4000 would be good enough for detail work ie carving small animals with accurate detail......thanks
Yup sure would, that's what I use
How can I order one
Спасибо за видео !👍🙏😍
По какому адресу их - "Kutzal , Sabur" можно заказать ?
Ooooh… boobby burrs😮 I gotta try one. Or two .😊
Ok
hello can you use a pedal with your Dremel if so is it possible to show us how it works and how to connect the pedal wow thank you
Yes just for om and off
Please what are Burr's used for glass work?
I would think diamond bits are good for glass
Do you have a video on strictly rock carving/cutting/polishing?
Yes there should be in my Playlist, soapstone
I would say dremel 4000 with the dremel flex shaft, or even a wen (knock off dremel) with the dremel flex shaft
I bought 2 different brands of dremels and the bits I got with them are not to good after one use of a bit seem like it get dull and can't use it again
Yup get some kutzalls
Do they sell Kutzall bits kits.. I would love to purchase the whole kit if they have them.. Thank you..
Possible u will have to look on the kutzall sight
Jordy, thanks for all your videos. What's your opinion of Saberrtooth bits compared to Kutzall? They look the same and come in reasonably priced sets.
Thanks,
Rod
Ty they are just as good
