    I ordered these and after about 2 months they came except they only sent me 3 of the 5 burrs. On top of that, they were dull in a matter of minutes. I mean no disrespect, but in my opinion, these burrs are junk.

    I bought a set of five of these a couple of years or so back, I've used them on oak,cherry,beech,walnut and various types of pine,they still work as well as when I bought them,maybe the ones I aquired came from a better sorse,or I got lucky,they only cost just over a fiver for them as well,so very happy with them.

    "Up the stairs and down the stairs" is caused by the direction of rotation of the Dremel. If you push against the rotation you get tear-out. The tear-out is caused as the tool attempts to lift the wood under the burr. Looking down onto the business end of the Dremel, the tool will rotate anti-clockwise, or clockwise when you're holding it point down.

    If you are ever looking for language to help with clarity talking about going "down the stairs" with grain, I'd recommend checking out some wood turners, it's relevant in all woodworking, but it is omnipresent in wood turning so they have a lot of experience in explaining it.

    Thanks for the review. I've been thinking about trying these. Now, I believe I will. But you are right the Kutzall style Burr looks to be more controllable. Which would make it better for carving in the long run.
    If these work out though, it might be worth going to a machine shop and getting a good setor two made. Just because you can resharpen them. Just my thoughts, but what do I know. Anyway thanks for the video Jordy you did an excellent job.

    I just read the other comment, and I'm not noticing the bits getting dull. I am saying this with no disrespect to the other comment.
    I will say these bits should only be used at an angle. Don't lean them too close to the end of the arrowhead. It will it skip.
    Do not use them Tip straight down. There is no point. Only use them after the shape is carved out, and you're trying to smooth the area around the raised design.
    Wear all your safety gear, an make sure the piece is on a flat surface, where it can't skip and catch your clothes. I'm also wearing my carving gloves, just incase.

    Initially I thought the burrs were good and cut well, and used with care they should be another string to your bow Jordy but I just read Ed Devaronas comment saying they blunt quickly, and I saw you had replied to him. I just think it depends on the type of wood you use and they might be sharpenable say with diamond files.

    • @pw.70
      @pw.70 Před rokem +1

      I think the type of wood is irrelevant. If I'm always using hardwoods, then I want to know that they're not going to blunt mid project - it could be time critical.

      He said on the video he got them from the Wish Store. If u don't know what that is u wouldn't have caught it.....U can download the App called "Wish". or just go on the website.... Its a Factory Direct Stuff from China. Stuff is Really Really inexpensive. Some stuff is Really Cheap other stuff is Great. I'd Highly recommend reading peoples reviews (listed under each product u check out) and see how many ppl give the product a Green light or Not. Bc as I said, some stuff is Really Good and u get exactly what u purchased. A lot of times tho its very deceiving and u don't. ALWAYS refer to the reviews. Welcome to the Wish shopping Addiction! LOL! Good Luck!
      PS. Orders Take on average at least a Month to a Month and a Half to arrive. That is the worst part about the Store.
