Tbh LostProphets don't deserve the hate just because of Ian Watkins. I am not a fan of their brand of rock, but the band is actually pretty talented. Ian is just a fucked up dude. This is one of the problems with bands; as soon as the frontman is outed as a douche, the band suffers with him.

I actually really like Load and ReLoad ٫ there not as good as some of Metallica's other albums but still really good . King Nothing ٫ Hero of the Day٫ Until it Sleeps٫ and Fuel are incredible songs.

The problem was the lame cord progressions where pop music recipes for hit songs. While catchy in the beginning, you soon realize it all sounds the same. Use, wash, repeat. It is true, but there is more to it than that. Its true that most bands' fans don't want them to change. And most of the time when bands change they lose alot of fans and people dont like them as much or people start to talk shit, like: Metallica, Godsmack, Bring Me the Horizon, actually... every single hard rock band that DIDNT just stop making music, all the punk bands like Green Day, Sum41, etc. Many many metal bands like The Devil Wears Prada, Asking Alexandria, all those guys etc., all the 80s hair bands going into the 90s, the Beatles did alot of bad shit. Pretty much all bands from 70s and older couldn't make new shit and adapt, or the new shit they made was bad and irrelevant (or solo album crap which is almost always bad), so old bands only play old hit songs, nothing new, they dont even try. I personally hated Linkin Park EXTENSIVELY after their second album because they completely abandoned what got them famous. I don't even like Tool's new shit. There's so many bands in so many genres. I'll name ONE rap one even, Kendrick BLEW up on good kid M.A.A.D city, then to pimp a butterfly with that King Kunta crap missed hard. Its everywhere. Personally, I treat artists as every other company that produces a product out there. "Oh I wanna change our sound blah bleh." They cop out and label every change as "adapting a new sound," wanting to branch out. No. You made the shit you made and you should know your lane. It's an insult to everyone when artists completely change who they are. There is a reason why fans still listen to oldies, because the old shit was original and good and new shit sucks more than ass. People hate AC/DC because their shit sounds the same, and every song sounds the same. Its different when you sound the same but every song is different, which AC/DC didn't do. People hate Metallica because they changed into something that they're not and did irrelevant shit that had nothing to do what what they did before. Nobody likes that and they'll get hate. Its different if you change but stay who you are. Take Garth Brooks, for example. He pretty much created an entire alter ego to make different music, he didnt stay Garth Brooks and make new music that was completely different.
I saw Creed twice. The first time I jumped a fence at the outside venue and they were playing with Three Days Grace. The second time was at Thompson Bowling Arena in Knoxville, Tn and they were with Sevendust. Sevendust was freaking amazing!
I guess I love the Black Album for exactly everyting some people hate it. It's a great sounding, great produced album with awesome songwriting.

Then listen to another band, that is why there is more than one band allowed to write and produce music. Pretty sure one band could not write the over 600 million songs we have to listen to today.
First of all: Not necessarily the same people expressing both sentiments. Also: I think often it's about the amount and the direction. People want the exact right amount of change. Just enough so it doesn't become boring but not so much that what made it cool in the first place (often the intensity and sadness and anger).
Which is kinda ironic, because I think a lot of the artists are really suffering before and when they become big and then they either stay the same (creating similar music) and then die of suicide or drugs abuse or some mixture. Or they actually get to a better place and become older and more content, which is great for them but it tends to take away from the original intensity.

i saw bvb live last year and although they aren’t like my #1 favorite band as i’m more of a harsh metal type of person, i do have a soft spot for more emo bands like bvb, ptv, etc. not to mention that andy black is literally gorgeous i want his face on my wall

The bands on this list appear to be hated by fans of the genre they play, whereas the folk who hate slipknot are more often than not people who feel like anything close to metal is sacreligeous and dangerous in the non-fun way (not to say there arent those who hate them for not being real metal, its just that these people are a small number, and so can tend to be overlooked)

I actually got to meet Winger when I was 12 years old at a record store here in Kansas City. The podium they were sitting at to sign autographs was too tall for me to see over, so when my turn came I remember handing up my poster to sign and Reb Beach leaned over the edge with a big smile and said "What's up little dude?!!" He was super nice and took pictures with my sisters without even being asked.

@@VersusDec Yes. Afterwards they released a statement that they in fact want to keep on making music but not the same style and under the name of lostprophets as Ian had tarnished the name for them. So they had a little break and are now making lighter rock music with electronic elements.
They formed No Devotion with Geoff Rickly from Thursday. Never hit the heights of Lostprophets but I remember seeing them at Leeds festival a few years back and they just looked so happy to be onstage and have the whole Ian Watkins shit behind them.

As a non-Limp Bizkit fan, it's not the singer for me. Fred Durst is just a man with a business, a voice and opinions about stuff, some of them abusive. However, the music, I like four songs from these guys and that's about it. Rollin', Take A Look Around, Break Stuff, and Nookie. After that, they lost me. Bigger question - why do people hate a band like Godsmack? There's not a God damn thing wrong with the band.
No hate for them, played their part in the rock/metal music scene in the 90s/2000s. But they are overrated in my book.
