Look at the Guns N' Roses/Metallica concert in Montreal on August 8, 1992. Metallica had to cancel the second half of the show due to James Hetfield sustaining second and third degree burns in a pyrotechnics accident. They could have saved a show marred by tragedy with an amazing show.
With only a half-hour to switch everything, GNR's setup wasn't to Axl's liking and his throat supposedly hurting. This resulted in Axl leaving the stage with the rest of the band behind him, which resulted in a riot on the streets of Montreal.

I kinda see where they're coming from with Metallica. Call me terrible but every song they've done feels like a nothingburger to me, even the older stuff. Like they learned how to play one thing and built an entire band off of their name and image.

I recently found out that bvb is the reason why some people are still alive. I've read some of the comments to their music videos and people have admitted that they were going to commit suicide but didn't because of them so they are good people and if people actually knew why they are a band than I don't think they would get as much hate

Korn, Black Veil Brides, Limp Bizkit and Nickelback are some of my favorite bands. The lead singer Andy Biersack of Black Veil Brides has such an awesome voice. I love his gritty tone and the way he sings. All of these 4 bands are on my bucket list that I want to see in concert. I saw Korn once but I wouldn't mind seeing them again.

Green Day didn’t get into the Rock-n-Roll hall of fame by being really hated. Think about it. They started as a melodic punk band and as they grew over the years really made some super power pop while maintaining the punk edge. Billie Joe is an unbelievable song writer. The ability to write catchy melodies while keeping musical integrity is a gift that comes naturally. You can’t learn that. Was every album amazing....no not necessarily but that’s opinion. For example I don’t like most of American Idiot with a few acceptions but it has great melody and hooks and was a massive commercial success. Yet at the same time the band didn’t sell out and kept their distinctive style and ethos!

I actually love Black Veil Brides, and Andy Biersack's solo projects. I agree that the lyrics are angsty but I like the messages of both artists and I appreciate how talented each member is. My favorite by BVB is In The End and for Andy Biersack is The Wind & Spark
Respect. Love BVB and Andy Black. Favorite from BVB is Wake Up and from Andy Black is We Don't Have To Dance. But no matter what I love almost all the songs from both artists

Nickleback is like generic toliet paper. Its bland, white, rough, and bad for your ass. Ultimately too much usage will result in you fingering your own dirty hole.
That said I do recognize thay they have a talent for making middle of the road music. To be honest the sum is less than the parts. All that top end gear sounds like a Epiphone Special cranked through a inexpensive Marshal with a weak pedal in between...so nothing inspiring.
Half the list I agreed with, the other half I couldn't find enough interest to care one way or another about them. U2 and GNR where great back in the 80s but they've had their day in the sun.
If you want to try something heavy, good and underground, may I suggest some Killing Joke. Bonus question, which great artist of the 90s ripped them off and which song was it?

I like Creed, I think Scott's voice is pretty solid and heavy, even though some of the lyrics are kinda cheesy and too simple but some of the songs which deal with mental health issues and loss of faith are actually kinda good, and Mark's heavy riffs and Philip's tight drumming with Brian's slow grooves kinda stick together and make the songs super catchy to listen to. Just my opinion.

I don’t like them at all but sometimes i don’t know if they are to blame for that. I think record executives at this time decided what they were going to promote and so they pretty much decide who is going to be popular and what their image will be. Also they have producers work at making an album sound a certain way. It just seems like whoever was investing in creed wanted another pearl jam. I don’t really know if that is creeds fault. If they don’t play ball their record does not get made.

I'm glad the rock band Styx wasn't included on this video, because myself as a true fan of the band. There were so many fans that really love the rock band itself, and they have many hits that the fans really love so much.
The rock band Styx started their career back in the 1970s, the early 1970s. Originally from a label owned by RCA called wooden nickel records, then after their first big hit called lady. they went with A&m records, and they started to get bigger. And when they did their seventh studio album The Grand illusion, it became their first platinum album. And the first in any other rock band, to sell in triple platinum, one of the guitar players said the Beatles, The rolling Stones. Or other rock bands before them, never had a triple platinum album before.
Ever since the success of the Grand illusion album, the band had five triple platinum albums. That sold millions of copies everywhere.
And because that all happened back in the 1970s, until the early 1980s. They had lots of fans that really love them, and they wanted to see them live. However what the fans didn't know, but the band knew about it. There were critics and the media that were being disrespectful to Styx, and I should say they hated Styx as well. I believe the critics and media hated the band.
Because they criticize so badly against the band, they've been making good music. They had greatest hits, they were like a revolution to everybody around the world. But above all they wanted to make people happy, and to entertain them. That the media and the critics used Styx as a huge Target for criticism, and I believe for hate as well.
The loyal fans love them, but the media and the critics hated and criticized badly on them.
Today the band still exists, and they still go out in the road. Or they go out on tour still performing live on stage, just for their loyal fans.
And of course I'm one of those fans, I haven't seen them live yet. I'm willing and hoping to, but I'm very glad that Styx hadn't been added on this video. Because even though the critics and the media hated the band, and they criticize so badly against them. The fans of the band really love them, and they're always hungry of wanting to see them live on stage. And that they will always listen to their music, and that they hope that their music would have play time on the radio

Axl Rose is not as bad as many people say/think, he definitely doesn't deserve to be considered one of the best frontman (like Loudwire did!!! 🙄), But the guy still rules, yeah he looks unactractive and totally out of shape, but he seems a more emphatic, humble and mature person than the young guy/asshole that he used to be 20 years ago!!!
Considering how huge and successful these bands are, especially U2 and Coldplay, they have nothing to worry about being considered "hated"

Yeah. I do understand that both have their faults, such as Guns N' Roses being, yknow, really big, which will produce haters
and Green Day 'selling out.' Which didn't happen. A lot of people generally dislike change when it comes to bands, but when you are producing music for 20+ years, it can strain a lot of things, such as vocal abilities. Plus, more specifically on Green Day's part, people forget that Billie, Mike, and Tré have been making music for 28 years (26 when it comes to Tré), and they get salty when Billie's voice sounds different, or when they produce an album that 'is totally different from the previous album.'

I like both genres, the rock/metal and electronic music, but Nickleback is just too generic and too overplayed, their songs have been getting spammed on the radios for years... On the other hand you have Chainsmokers, who make the most boring electronic music possible, also every god damn song from them is the same, it has really simple beat and when it comes to the main part, that beat always turns into something really annoying, like on the song Closer... I dont know why electronic music like this got popular in the past years, but the mainstream appearently has a really shitty taste for music at the moment...

Really? There are plenty of people who don't like Kiss, and this is mainly because of Gene Simmons who always gives people a reason to hate him and so they hate Kiss too. And also they're hated because of the 'hired guns' that are in the band now who use the original Ace and Peter facepaint.

I get why a lot of people say various bands’ songs all sound the same; a lot of them use the same types of harmonies with the same couple of voices (with Nickelback and Queen being perfect examples) and that’s what gives them their distinctive sound. What I don’t get why is such bands end up eventually getting hate for continuing to sound like what you liked about them in the first place. Disinterest, sure, but hate? No.
I know you're somewhat defending these bands, but Queen's songs are not repetitive. Just because you listened to couple of their hit songs, doesn't mean they're all like that.

Ryan Tanner you do know "pop" means popular. I know you aren't "hating on pop" but that just means you aren't enjoying what is popular at the time not a specific genre. That's why if you listen to pop stations over the years the genres are different.

I just don't like the slow stuff (there are some exceptions, but they're few and far between), EDM, love songs (It's not that I'm a hopeless romantic or can never find a date, it's just I find majority of them pretty depressing), country music, anything with high-pitched "chipmunk/mouse"-esque noises, anything that's incoherent mumbling, and there are specific artists that I don't like (Justin Bieber, Chainsmokers, Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Future, Fifth Harmony, Chris Brown, etc.) either because their music sounds bad and/or I think they're awful people in real life.

Surprised to see U2 and Green Day on here since they don't have the same cheese factor some of the other bands do. For me that's part of the criteria of being an awful band, being cheesy.

Have you seen how much Green Day and pop punk in general pisses off punk rockers. Many feel they cheapen and whore out the genre to the mainstream. They’re decent, but the way mainstream music sees them as the face of punk and often holds them higher than legends who crafted the genre does grind a lot of gears.

You should watch the entire Woodstock 94 performance of Green Day and then tell us what you REAAALLY think. They did it to themselves.

They brought back punk rock in the 90's, than they kind of sold out, they jumped into alternative rock/pop punk which at the time was a little more mainstream. But I mean if you ask me bands need to change sometimes in order to stay relevant, unless they're going for the underdog way. U2 being on here is BS though...great band.

Paraskanava22 Yeah. Even if you don't like Green Day, you have to admit they have done a lot for revitalising punk's image in recent years. Metallica is fantastic, and have influenced many, as have the Guns and Roses. For Coldplay, personally I love their stuff pre 2005, but recently they have not done anything really all that good.
Arridexer well, Guns & Roses fell apart. Many people say Green Day sold out. I here plenty of hate for Coldplay, warranted or not. Metallica, I've never heard hate for.

Panic! At the Sleeping Chemical Brides I don’t understand either, however I have witnessed a lot of hate towards BVB from the metalhead community. I myself am a metalhead but I don’t hate them. I listen to them occasionally. If I had to guess the hate is because of they look like wannabe metal band to them and/or because some people think they’re metal (they’re not metal btw) or something like that (or probably because they get associated with emos a lot) however this is just a guess. But I don’t really know about the other bands and who hates them.
