I was confused for a hour then I found this video . Good video mate 🤝
No problem, great to hear you found it useful. Enjoy your drone 👍
very clear thanks
No problem, glad you found it useful 👍
Thank you.😊
No problem, glad you found it useful 👍
Thank you for your excellent content. It's been very helpful. If I have both the standard and plus version of the batteries, can I use the same charging hub to charge them? If yes, can I charge them at the same time?
Thank you, thats really really nice of you to say. Yes, you can charge them both in the same charging hub at the same time. Bear in mind that the plus batteries will take a little longer to charge, that is where quick charging can come in very handy.
Thank you :)
@@AA-uu8ox you're welcome 👍
Thanks ! Can we charge the hub with external battery or it can be bad for dji batteries ?
No problem. Yes you should be able to use most USB-C chargers. I go into a bit more depth about it here 👉 czcams.com/video/U2K2aSB4ByE/video.htmlsi=SsmVUVZdpfLqFyvE
Great video again Steven. Quick questions regarding batteries: I have my new mini 4 pro which has roughly the same batteries as the mini 3. I was wondering what's your approach on charging these batteries. Do you manually de-charge them after some days? Do they de-charge by themselves? Do you have to charge them all the way and let them without any juice?
Basically what's the whole thing with the cycles and when do we need to change a battery and get a new one?
Thanks a lot in advance for your advice!
(I was trying to find a video one this topic, but couldn't. Let me know if you have any on this topic.)
Thank you, always appreciated 👍 I tend to use my drone as often as I can and cycle the batteries as regularly as possible and that really is the key to keeping LiPo batteries going. If I do plan on storing it for a while I tend to run the batteries down to about 50% and I will just leave them in the battery hub at a reasonable stable temp. Plenty of people have different opinions and solutions but that has always worked well for me.
If you have a bad battery that won't charge, the charging hub can generally pick that up and will show a different light configuration on the dock. You tend to start to notice if a battery is starting to have issues during regular usage, just always take the battery percentage with a pinch of salt and make sure you have plenty of time to land safely on each flight. I think because there are so many different factors and use cases it is hard to have one-size-fits-all advice, that is just my take on it. Hopefully it is helpful.
@@stevelittonYeah ok I understand. I know it's difficult to have an easy answer as so many factors can affect a battery.
Thank you for your time writing this. Appreciate it! :)
No problem, just keep using them regularly and they should be all good 👍
Oh Okay, that's all good to know.
Glad you found it useful 👍
Mine is plugged in but they show 2 lights and the lights aren’t blinking? All 3 batteries are 2 lights on and no flashing one to indicate charging? Idk
I would recommend checking if your batteries need a firmware update, you can follow this tutorial if you aren't sure how to do it 👉 czcams.com/video/DKny_PGMaoo/video.htmlsi=7hrjRAwpF9P02EZh
Why does it take all night to charge the 3 batteries in the charging hub provided. In the morning they are still charging
That's not right, each battery should charge in under an 1 and a half on the slowest charge. So you should be able to charge 3 dead batteries in about 4 hours. You can have them charged in 3 hours using quick charge, see this video for more info 👉 czcams.com/video/e1gneRBMYkw/video.html Make sure you are using a decent USB charger and cable. Do you have anything attached to the USB port on the charging hub?
@@stevelitton hi thanks I'm using a Samsung charger. I'll check that link out
@@theblade66 No problem. Definitely look into getting a better charging solution. I use an Anker charger and that works well.
@@stevelitton I was a little bit disappointed. Because it wasn't a cheap drone, and all I got was usb cables. No charger with the mini 4 fly more combo
@@theblade66 I totally agree, it's a bit disappointing to buy a drone that expensive and then for DJI to turn around and charge you extra for a charger is just a bit of an insult. you don't need the official charger though, there are plenty of capable 3rd party chargers out there or you can use a PD power bank.
I was just about to comment this is amazing until i saw you have to choose to charge either the batteries or the remote. What useless nonesense is this 😂😂 great video btw
Ha ha, don't shoot me, I'm just the messenger 😂 glad you found it useful even if it wasn't the end result you were looking for.
Literally just bought a 4 with this so I take it it only charges 1 battery at a time
Yeah you can charge one in here at a time but you could also charge one in your drone separately. Enjoy your new drone 👍
Just bought a DJI mini 2 and realized this. Why is it designed like this?? What’s the point if you can’t charge all 3 batteries simultaneously?!
It means you can charge batteries without having to take the drone completely out of action. So you could charge batteries whilst you fly. Appreciate it's not a perfect accessory though in many ways.
This is the most pointless thing ever. Not your video, the video is great, but the way this system works. The only way that this would be useful is if it charged both the battery and the controller at the same time. The fact that you have to choose one or the other makes it have little to no value.
Yeah I agree, it would be really handy if it charged both simultaneously. You can just use a USB AC adapter in another outlet if you have one handy.
