How in the fuck did CPS have reports saying that poor girl has been malnourished for years and still walked away like nothing was going on in that home and just closed the case?! The CPS caseworkers involved with this need to be held accountable for failing this poor baby.

Averyanna probably pulled the race card, told the social worker that they were only there bc she was black, that it wasn't fair, that Tylers family hated her bc she was black, and the system is against her bc she was black...then, they backed off. Three years for him to take that little girl and bring her to safety, even if he couldnt leave his wife for what ever sick reasoning, leave Calli with someone who cares. Like the Aunt or his mother. Anythng to get her out of the reach of that sick woman.

@@mammadingo9165 I would like to do something because it seems like family and friends are reluctant to step in if it doesn't benefit them and CPS seems to be extremely limited on placement availability. I just spoke to my friend yesterday who works as a paralegal under a lawyer that handles this stuff. I had this whole idea of creating new placement availability which would provide immediate safety for children, create more jobs, and reduce abandons buildings. She is going to run it by her try to see how we can go about creating a non-profit organization or something, so children will not be returned back to their abusers. I hope something good will come out of this because so many child deaths could have been prevented if they were removed in time.
the same happened to Arthur Labinjo Hughes during lockdown. Tortured and starved and mentally abused by his own father and father's girtlfriend. They too, told him no one loved him and yet he had an uncle and loving Grandmother desperate to see him after telling social services how concerned they were for his welfare. Those poor children were totally isolated and held hostage because the adults 'caring' for them, were able to lie through their teeth and were believed. She killed her while he was at work but blamed him for not bringing her "back to life" with CPR.Pure evil.He knew she abused his child but done nothing.
I feel like the child had been dead days before. And once again the dog got walked and looked after before he thought about giving his child CPR.

My daughter is 5 & weighs 56 lbs for those who don't have kids to compare. My heart for this poor baby 💔💔💔 My daughter is nonverbal with severe autism & a TBI from birth. Life can be very difficult & challenging bc of her disabilites but I would never think of hurting her nor could I imagine someone else hurting her. She instead gets more love & attention bc of her challenges. No child deserves this & it makes me sick we live in a world where people neglect, abuse, & murder innocent children. I wish there were a way to rescue every child 😢 it is so heartbreaking & I appreciate every good mother & father out there raising & protecting their babies. You're all doing a wonderful job!!

As someone who was beat often and for no reason as a child by drunk and druggie parents, I can never fathom how anyone can raise a hand to someone they love, especially someone as defenseless as a child. Please buy a home ovulation prediction test. Read it carefully follow directions to a t. In 2 weeks you will be pregnant. I told a friend about it. She had spent thousands and thousands on IVF. She did this and 2 weeks later she was pregnant. May God bless you.

How heart breaking. My 1.5 year old weighs 27 lbs and he was only 4 lbs 12 oz at birth so I know from personal experience that it doesn't take much to "bulk" up a baby. Just love and being an actual parent and good human being.

My son has disabilities. His dad caught a girlfriend of his at the time suggesting to whip my son and looking at our son like she didn’t like him. He was 3. My ex dropped her immediately and warned anyone else he dated that he isn’t the one to tolerate any BS WHEN IT COMES to his kids. Thank goodness our kid now has a great step mom. He’s a teen now so it’s better.

I can't understand how the father let it happen. This story breaks my heart. I would have loved that child and so many people out there would have. They could have given her up to a family. I hear the father giving excuses that she was forcing him, but there's much more to this story than we'll ever know. That poor child. My child is 4. He has an eating disorder called AFRD. Avoidance Food Restrictive Disorder. We hates food. Gets no pleasure from eating. He pretty much lives off of nutritional drinks. We have a an entire team working with him. My point is my son is 4 and is 36.5 lbs. He's very small. He's in the 35th percentage for his age. I can not imagine Cali being 2 years older than him and half his weight. I think they must have duct taped her mouth or she was just so weak. You see children in third world countries starving. I think the photo they showed of her was one when she was 18 months. What a beautiful child to endure such a horrific events. Why didn't her birth mother ever look for her? I always say you have to be so careful who's around your children. People are often jealous of your other children that are not from them. Sick. I hope that step mother is treated the way she treated that child. God rest her soul. 😢😢

Seeing people who pop out multiple kids who ignore,hurt, neglect,abuse,subject their kids to harmful people really sparks an anger in me that I cannot explain.. People dont see how fortunate they are to have kids... Its a PRIVILEGE to have kids, and to be able to raise them

@@ladylady7848 Its been 15 years... We have had one miscarriage... We dont talk about. And havent even told people we are close with. But that was well over 10 years ago. She is turning 40 this years, and I myself am in my early 40s. I have a lot of medical issues and can hardly walk without a cane or walker. We have have to be reasonable able what is, and what isnt possible. It would not be responsible on our part at this point in our lives to take care of child. We have all the love and care to give, but we are very poor. Its a reality I dont see improving unfortunately..

Torture and murder of a child is with you forever. I don't care who you are today. That specific crime of torture and murder of a child can never be looked past by anyone except someone like yourself.

As a child of abuse from my mother & father, I feel disgusted by them both. My mother set me up to be abused by my father, those words, “I am going to tell your father on you” This cuts deep within me. These two are monsters! One feeding the other!!!!
This one hits home for me. My stepmother hated me, was jealous of me, did not feed me, severely verbally abused me... my dad did absolutely nothing about it, chose her over me, and would say her and I had to work out our own issues (I was 7, she was 40). Thank God they did not have full custody of me. If that were the case, idk what would have happened to me. I still struggle with severe emotional trauma from those people (I'm 30 now). It's hard for me to fathom how fucked up some people are.

You and I have suffered a similar experience, friend. When I use to think about it, it would fill me with an endless pit of rage to the point where I wanted vengeance, because they got away with it. I too am 30 like you and I imagine we suffered exactly at the same time in our lives. I have lingering issues that I battle to control but having people that love me has truely helped me look at the past with less contempt. This man made a very conscious decision to prioritize his abusive wife over his daughter. He knew of every vile thing that little girl had to endure, and did absolutely nothing. Now, he sits there and acts like a victim. He left his kid at the mercy of a monster. He is just as accountable for her death, if not more.

Oh my heart! I didn't realize until the end that there were handcuffs on the dog cage! How could anyone do this to a precious baby?! I don't care who's child it was, I would never be able to understand this.
As a parent you should always protect your children from a spouse or anyone that would harm your kid or kids. This is messed up and heartbreaking to hear this story.
To think a 6 year old was locked in a dog cage and slowly starved to death for a few years or however long and everything else she went through is really really sad, I hope they both receive karma whilst in prison
With food tossed just out of reach. No dog (who apparently didn’t have food either) would leave food on the floor untouched. I guess keeping her locked up was not enough since handcuffs were also shown along with the cage. So many people failed Cali. Almost 6 years old and only 16 lb. She sure didn’t get that small over night.
Life with parole after 20 was a kindness she never showed Cali.

The average weight for a 5 year old is at least 40 pounds. The average weight for a six month old is at least 16 pounds--the same weight that Cali was. No wonder the cop who did the original investigation thought she was a baby. Once again, CPS failed another child. The condition of that apartment alone should have raised red flags. My mom chose my step dad over me when I was a kid too. I got physically and emotionally abused non-stop for almost a year. I'm glad I got the courage one day to stand up to my mom and step dad, thus giving my dad custody of me which he wanted since they divorced. 10 years later I'm 22 years old and I'm on track of a successful life. So glad you got away from them. I went through something very similar. My mom was dating my stepdad and he had started abusing me. I told her and she decided to marry him. Unfortunately my dad had already gotten remarried and had 2 kids and my stepmom wanted nothing to do with me or my sister. My dad was cheating on my mom when she got pregnant with me. I was never wanted by either parent. My stepdad shot and killed himself almost 4 years ago. Now I’m taking care of my mom, which she never did for me. But I’m happy and I have the 2 most amazing daughters in the world. I’m showing them that love, not hate makes this world a better place.

I get that it doesn’t sound as good or roll off the tongue as easily but just because you give birth doesn’t make you a parent it makes you an incubator💯 being a parent takes so much more than the act of creating life; that’s the easy part.. the hard part is raising them. I know plenty of step parents and foster parents and adoptive parents that are way more qualified And considered a biological parent in the eyes of their kids more so than what some biological parents are considered by their own offspring.

Tyler is possibly the sorriest excuse for a man I’ve ever seen. He knew exactly what that woman was doing and he did nothing to stop it.

He was clearly in an abusive relationship. Glad he got punished also. But he didn't do it
I always love how we should never take abuse in to consideration when men are handed it. However I will never excuse his behavior, or anyone elses, due to abuse alone.
@@krisj5561 bro you don’t let someone starve and put your child in a dog cage for years because “abuse.” Dude was weak and just as culpable as his wife the only shame is he didn’t get a life sentence as well.
Regardless of the abuse Tyler faced, his responsibility as a parent was to protect his child and he didn't. It has nothing to do with gender, and an abusive relationship doesn't excuse you from turning a blind eye to child abuse - he is just as guilty for allowing the abuse to continue.
