Testing for candida can be difficult and frustrating. Even if you have strong symptoms of candida overgrowth in the gut stool testing can still come up negative.
Today I wanted to share my preferred initial test to assess for fungal overgrowths in the body. The Organic Acids Test (OAT test) has become my favourite baseline test for anyone with chronic and complex conditions including generalised pain and fibromyalgia, suppressed immune function, poor energy, anxiety, and my favourite subject digestive health issues! - Věda a technologie
Your content is always so informative. Hard to find someone extremely knowledgeable like you! Keep these amazing videos coming!
Thanks Susan! More on the way 🙂
I wish more doctors would actually recognize candida overgrowth!! So difficult for typical western doctor to diagnose any of the symptoms, only yeast infections! And even at that, diflucan is the only way they treat it >:(((
Western doctors are useless.
Your videos are SOOOOO helpful, very well put together and presented. THANK YOU!!!
I always wonder I had all my emails from my feet fall off with a fungal infection I got that treated after awhile I started noticing all of us different things which I know they work with Candida I am going to make an appointment for the dermatologist so I can get this test cuz I know that I am positive I just didn't know how to do it so I want to thank you so much for sharing this and you are the only person that explains everything just like a doctor should
Your amazing. I'm trying to reach you I finally got a message my phones got messed up !!!!
I did not know I can call international calls GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR EXTREAMLY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT SUCH A DIFFICULT PROBLEM AMEN !!# Don't stop making video s pls !!! Too many people need help !!!
I agree with you that stool testing and blood antibody testing both underdiagnose fungal overgrowth. But, to play devil's advocate here, are you at all suspicious that OAT testing is "overdiagnosing* fungal overgrowth? Might the truth lie somewhere in the middle? I say this because I've run a lot of OATs over the years, too, and it seems like that test "diagnoses" fungal overgrowth far more frequently than I feel is realistic.
Hmm very interesting. Best approach I have found is history and symptoms with labs to confirm a theory. The last piece here would be how well a patient improves on a targeted treatment plan. I do suspect that with our massive exposure to antibiotics and common low butyrate/butyrate producing bacteria that fungal issues would be extremely common, definitely in my patient population. Love the input! 🙌
@@ByronHerbalist I love your approach! I agree, I think the best info comes from the person's response when you attempt to treat the fungal overgrowth. If they respond positively I think you're on the right path.
Sir. I am from bangladesh.i was diagnosed ibs c last year.however,it has been managed somewhat by maintaining healthy lifestyle.i have poor health condition.my question to you is that, if i marry a girl, will my poor health condition and ibs related issue cause premature ejaculation or not.?
Thank you😁you are truly amazing.
Happy to help!
I am taking Forxiga against my prediabetes. It has an unbearable side effect. Sugar is expelled through out urine and it makes sort of a culture of candida in all the region of vagina and labia! I am thinking to switch Forxiga to Metformin, as before.
is it same as Capsaicin? Is it normal than after ingestion I feel burning in my intestines? is it killing the Candida? or is it my linning very sensitive
Do regular western doctors test for OAT through health insurance ?
At the E.R my doctor only wants a pee yet.
Please tell someone in ur staff ill get in touch some time this week my sister was diogosed
With BLADDER cancer I can't believe it just had knees surgery and eyes were bleeding getting shots too I'm suffering like never I'm my life with sibo and SIFO !! Had breast cancer years ago many but never SUFFER ed like this in my life !!! Undernourished!!!
Check out cancer curing with Maple syrup and baking soda it worked for me.
Hi! Im so glad to have found you! I’ve been experiencing a long list of symptoms for 15 months without a medical diagnosis despite seeing many docs. I think I’m suffering from mold toxicity & candida overgrowth. What tests do you recommend to get the most accurate results for mold & candida? Im beginning to lean towards the organics acid test in combination with mycotox. Thanks in advance!!! Victoria
those are the two! OAT testing for sure and mycotoxin testing really helps too. Great Plains labs is my preferred lab
@@ByronHerbalist I had OAT done and got really good answers.
@@mariejimpowerful Made my day! So happy you are narrowing in on the root causes 🙂I'm thinking of doing lab interpretation videos on youtube. Email us if you're interested and I'll go through your results
Thanks so much do this video! I had a Great Plains Mycotoxin test done through my Naturopath and it came back I didn’t have mold toxicity. I know I definitely have Candida overgrowth. I am taking Caprylic Acid for about a week with horrible die off. I’m taking Milk Thistle to help with this. Man this $hit is rough!
😭 hope you can take USA clients soon. I’d be first in line
I wish I could! We’re still working on a workable approach to get internationals the right medicine to get better.
@@ByronHerbalistWhat’s the biggest obstacle here? Is it ordering the testing as well as the treatments for international?
Can USA people come to you ?
Thank you
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful
THANKYOU

Hi Todd, it was my understanding that the fungal overgrowth found in the OAT's is systemic and tested from the metabolites in the urine etc exposing long-term and also possibly mould, yeast etc... and the Candida markers in the CMM stool test were a current infection in the digestive tract and does not show systemic?
Love the input. The OAT looks beyond the large bowel for infections and overgrowths although I highly doubt the OAT is showing ‘systemic’ fungal overgrowths in most. These patients would generally be in the hospital and their immune system would be seriously compromised. The OAT looks at metabolites of fungal growth in the body, I suspect small bowel in some, definitely large bowel in others and sometimes lungs when the green mould markers are positive and symptoms line up. With every patient I assume it is representing hollow space organs/epithelial tissues (intestines, urinary tract, lungs etc). Hope that helps 😊
@@ByronHerbalist Amazing, thank you for your response and clarification - there is so much conflicting information on this topic 😊
@@carolynlowe8906 no prob! OAT interpretation is complicated but very worth it for chronic and complex cases. Great Plains Labs are pioneers in the field and have great education on their site.
Where do you begin to treat if you are passing hypahe level of candida fungus in stool?
Good question! Low and slow and only as tolerated ramping up to stronger antifungal approaches as needed. Probiotics would be a gentle way to start
Thank you. Do i need to test or is the proof good enough😅
I have been eating a lot of garlic and im wondering if that is why they are expelling? I have pics im waiting to show a doctor but ive had trouble finding a educated doctor that wont need my house payment to treat😫😫😫
Do the three day stool tests miss it too
Mostly. It depends on if it is in the large bowel or not.
how much does these test cost pls?
$360 AUD
