Thanks Chris! My oldest has been in the TF 9 for the past year and I was on the fence between the Catalyst or the HZRDUS when we replace his TF and I think this has helped me make the choice!

Will have to pick up some of these to try, currently the Tf9’s are locally selling in senior size for $249.99 Canadian. Which is a crazy good deal for how good the tf9s are.
I tried on a pair of hzrdus and loved how they wrapped my foot and ankle, but the toe box felt weird almost like when you put your foot in a shoe with the paper in it still. Does this go away with baking? Do you have any sizing recommendations?

Thanks for your review. Just picked up a pair of TF9 on clearance today for my son and because of your video just ordered a back up set of steel.
Wasn't planning on buying a second set of steel just yet but because of the steel change I didn't want to be left unavle to source any later on.
So thank you muchly for your information that the salesperson at the store failed to provide me with.
I did just as mentioned in the video, and by that I mean, I picked up the TF9's at a considerable discount. And as its been said a million times before about skates, its all personal preference and this is mine. I've had bauer and ccm skates and they were fine, I don't have anything bad to say about them and they did what they were meant to do, but the TF9's just felt better on my feet. They're just more comfortable to me, and I'm not saying ccm or bauer were uncomfortable just that true was just felt a bit better than any others that I've wore. If I was to win a pair of new bauer or ccm skates you bet I'd take them and use them, but if I was to spend my own money on a new pair of skates it would be for a new pair of true skates. Just my 2 pennies!
I'll hope that TRUE did something with HZRDUS boots varnish, because on CATALYST it cracks from puck impacts very quickly.
Truth. They need a thicker epoxy coat or another layer of the carbon fiber weave. You'd THINK they would have improved this aspect but then again they haven't done anything to improve their stick durability so....

Catalyst are softer (but still stiff compared to other brands 💪🏾)
TF9s are currently half price in the UK, they replaced my Bauer 2S Pro customs. Very very different skates, it feels like I’m skating on rails. The agility is astonishing, edge drills such as powerpulls are so much easier. Very thermo formable. Not keen on the toytown colour scheme of the new True skates. But I will buy some when my TF9s wear out.
Hzrdus 9x or catalyst 9, what should I get ?
Catalyst 9 based on looks alone. Hzrdus is the ugliest skate on the market

I can't break my TF7's. I'm a really big guy and those things have held up so well. May upgrade to the HZRDUS 9X as I've gotten better, but can't say enough about how well my Trues have served me. These also look so much better than the TF9 and way way way better than the Catalyst.
So the new skates look a lot taller. So will I need new sticks now lol

I had high hopes that True would have taken the VH skates and refined them for a more classy and professional find tuned skate, yet they continue with super cheesy looking graphics that seem to get worse with each release. The graphic design on these skates looks like an entry level youth skate :(
